Had a great stay at the Stillwater chalet. Accommodations were comfortable and adequate. Some spaces were tight but were fine to navigate.

The place looks just like expected from the listing. Very well appointed with everything you need. Cozy, even for summer, and surely for winter. Easy location in and out to Whitefish, Glacier and surrounding area. The private beach on Whitefish lake is a fantastic perk. Would definitely stay here again.

Property was not very clean, old carpeting made it feel dirty. Oven was dirty and dishes had to be washed before use.

My friends and i stayed here for a long weekend and it was absolutely perfect! Carrie the host was responsive and gave very detailed instructions for everything. Being nestled right into the trees gave amazing shade with awesome views from the back patio. The inside was so updated, cozy and made you feel at home. Location was close to downtown and close to Whitefish lake with plenty to do inside as well. Would recommend to anyone visiting Whitefish. Thank you so much!

This is a great condo. We were very happy with our stay. In the picture it shows the back living area on the bottom floor to be very inviting and clean. The yellow cushions are actually quite worn, dirty and with mildew spots on them and are stacked in a pile. That would be a quick fix by the property owner, which I suggest doing. The stairs are steep, and would not be suitable for anybody with mobility issues. Otherwise, it was a great stay. Kitchen is well appointed. It was great having a washer and dryer.
If you would like access to the swimming pool, or other common area, be sure and get an updated code with the on-site manager during office hours. We neglected that, even though it was described in the welcome email, and ended up not being able to visit on our last night.

Very nice place….a little difficult to get luggage down spiral staircase and could use an umbrella table on patio… hot, no shade. Other than that it was great!!

We really enjoyed staying at this place. Although the neighbors were loud at night we especially enjoyed access to the pool and lakefront. Everything in the house was clean and communication was great with the hosts!

My family stayed here for our wedding, there's a bee nest in the door way of the upper level patio. My mom got stung in the face after sitting outside for a few minutes. Her face swelled up and it was 2 days before our wedding photos. We tried contacting the host multiple times to get the problem fixed and no one answered. We saw the previous guests had the exact same issue. Someone was stung from this bee's nest, they couldn't use the outdoor area, tried multiple times to contact someone and received no response. We contacted vrbo for a refund for this stay and their policy is that it's up to the host if they want to give a refund. My mom was understandably embarrassed and didn't want to be in any photos. And what if someone had an anaphylaxis reaction to a sting? The host still can keep being negligent and ignoring the issue while collecting money? Would not recommend staying here.

This property is in a great location on the north side of Whitefish along the route up to Whitefish Mt ski resort and overlooking Whitefish lake, however you can't really see it through all of the trees. It sits in a condo neighborhood set in the pines. The condo itself has been recently updated. It was very beautiful and comfortable. It is really a two bedroom and the max comfortable occupancy should be considered 4. The clubhouse hot tub and facilities were fine. The condo had many great books about the local area and what to do.
The downside? There is absolutely NO LOCAL SUPPORT. There was a very active bee's nest right outside the sliding door to the deck. When I called the 3 phone numbers provided they all went to a woman named Ria in Raduim Hot Springs, British Columbus, Canada. She had no idea how to help, saying, "I'm in Canada", and suggested contacting the condo association office where we were staying. I did and was told that the owners of my condo did not contract with them, sorry. We bought our own bug spray and tried to solve the issue so that we could use the deck which was marginally successful.
Other issues included upon arrival a dryer full of wet towels. A full dishwasher. Upstairs tub faucet that runs, not drips, constantly. Not big deals, but it is sort of upsetting to find that you are 2000 miles from home in a unit where anything could happen and you'd simply be out of luck. The "Coldwater Creek Team" appears to be a corporate Mirage.
Good luck if you stay. It's really is a great place. Glacier is awesome!

Convenient to Whitefish
The property management is sweet and easy to work with. I have no real complaints except that it was a bit older and smaller than I expected based on the photos. There is also no place to unpack our luggage, which is kind of a bummer for a week long trip. This place feels better suited for a weekend stay.

Beautiful place
Very nice place! Clean! Great amenities. Thankful for washer and dryer.
I would just recommend saying it is located up the mountain out of town of whitefish and that the pools and beach access are not necessarily close to your lodge. Also it says sleeps 6 to 8. We had six total and two were small children and it was a tight fit and water heater ran out after 2 quick showers. Small recommendations otherwise beautiful place!

Chalet in the mountains
Very nice property. Great living area, bathroom and fully equipped kitchen upstairs with a large deck. Downstairs 2 nice bedrooms and bathroom. Only thing that you need to get use to are the spiral stairs which are tight. We had a wonderful stay and we’re very comfortable. We would stay here again.

Lovely stay at a great location
We loved it! It's only a 5-10 minute drive up the hill to the base of Whitefish. The place itself was very clean and very comfortable. We'd definitely stay there again!

Great location
very nice condo. clean. quiet location up in the mountains yet very close to town. we wanted to cook and eat most nights at our VRBO, and be in the mountains, but yet still be close to town and this was a very good fit. easy check in process. parking only a few steps from your door. My only complaint is my wife and specifically want a king bed. they advertised a king bed in the master and NO KING BED in the master or in other bedroom. please change your listing.

Perfect Spot
I'm not sure how this place has anything less than great reviews. We stayed in August to hike GNP and this was the perfect home base for us. No issues with bugs in the house or anything like that and the upstairs deck was lovely for outdoor coffee and meals. WiFi worked fine - the password is found on the router (the one in the house handbook is wrong). Only option for TV is to watch DVDs but they have a bunch there to choose from. About 15 minutes to Whitefish town with restaurants, bars, gift shops, etc. We did have an issue with the smoke detector going off due to low battery but I called one of the numbers that was in the house handbook and the guy was ready to take care of it immediately (although we figured it out on our own).
For an easy/ moderate hike, I recommend Avalanche Lake.
For a difficult yet extremely rewarding hike (11.5 miles - 2 of which are very steep) I recommend the Grinnell Glacier Overlook trail.

Great visit to Whitefish!
We had a wonderful stay! We are a family of 5 and we stayed a week. While we were gone quite a bit hiking and exploring, we loved coming back to the cozy chalet. Any issues we had were addressed and we had open communication with the owner. We would stay here again. The chalet is just under 10 minutes past Whitefish and about 1-2 miles before you hit the resort so there are plenty of teary and things to do right there in addition to what the neighborhood has to offer- pools, lake access, trails, etc. Glacier NP is close too!

July trip to GNP
Good location to ski resort for biking. Had 5 people and place was about right for that number of people. Pool and hot tub are a real short walk (one minute). Great hot tub and indoor pool for everyone. About a 40 minute drive to GNP. Getting through Whitefish during the busy part of the day can make the trip quite a bit longer.

Terrible communication
The condo itself was fine. It was clean and looked fresh. The washer and dryer are small, it takes two cycles to dry anything. The griddle was missing it’s plug. It is very dark in the condo, there were some lights that didn’t work. Location is nice, not a far drive from downtown whitefish. The back patio was nothing like the photo. It wasn’t as well maintained. Communication was the real problem. For a family of three, we were given four bath towels. I had to wash towels everyday, which wouldn’t be a problem if we were at the condo during the day. I requested two more bath towels from the property manager, and he said he let the housekeeping team know but that they hadn’t got back with him. Never got more towels. We wanted to use the private lake access as mentioned on the listing. Looked all through the welcome book and couldn’t find it. We called the number given in our email and it took us to a Canadian company who knew nothing about the chalet. They told me to look in the welcome book. I emailed the property manager about the lake access and was told to look in the book. I informed him it wasn’t there and he said he couldn’t find it in his files, but that he would keep looking. Never got the lake access. The main office at the condo was closed for the weekend so that was no help. So we decided to go to the pool and the pool codes were wrong. Luckily I ran into a council member of the community and he gave me the codes, otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to go! I completely gave up asking the property manager for anything, he doesn’t seem to have a good “file” on this property. It was very frustrating and disappointing.

This place was perfect!
A little ways outside the town of Whitefish lies Ptarmigan Village, a condo community set in the mountains above Whitefish lake. Stillwater Chalet is in the midst of this vacation community, perfectly located near the indoor pool and outdoor hot tub. Stepping out on the balcony lets you feel like you are in a treehouse. We knew we had neighbors, but rarely heard them when we were inside or on the balcony soaking in the mountain air. This property has a full kitchen, compact washer and dryer, and two fully appointed bedrooms. We did have a bit of trouble with the wifi while we were there, but that wasn't anything that would ruin our vacation. We didn't come to the mountains in the summertime to spend our days inside on our laptops.
The hosts provided a binder of instructions on how to "use" the property, which we did need to reference from time to time. As we are from Texas, where it is warm most of the year, we'd not experienced the bliss that comes from heated bathroom tiles until we stayed at Stillwater Chalet. I didn't know how to keep them at a steady temperature, but a quick perusal through the guide showed me what to do.
We would gladly stay here again the next time we come to Whitefish, which we hope to do again sometime soon. The town is lovely, the weather is a serious improvement over the swampy heat of our Texas town, and everyone was so nice, we couldn't help but feel welcome. Staying here will be a highlight in your trip. Do take a dip in the hot tub if you are there in summertime - it was nice to meet other vacationing people, and enjoy the nice weather and long evenings. We weren't accustomed to daylight after 10 pm!

Decent place but property manager is terrible
Stayed here for 3 weeks in September. Overall its a nice updated condo with good location between ski resort and town. It has all the tools you need to live comfortably. Bed in master was kind of hard but that's personal taste. It sleeps 8 but that would be very crowded in my opinion. Not a ton of room to move around with that many people if they all have bags and gear as there's not much storage space and no drawers to put clothes away in. There were 4 light bulbs burned out in the vaulted ceiling which made the kitchen dark, and the property manager never came to replace in THREE WEEKS despite repeated calls and emails. UNACCEPTABLE. In addition they basically ghosted us after promising to take care of it. As others have noted, the patio off master was dirty, the tub upstairs drips continuously, and the kitchen faucet water flow is so low that it takes about 15 minutes to fill the sink. Despite all this, we enjoyed our stay. There were no neighbors next door so it was quiet for us. It's a 15 minute drive or so to town. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots, etc. The heated floors in bathrooms are nice -the steam shower was not working which we were notified of beforehand . The spiral staircase could be challenging for anyone with mobility problems. I would probably not stay here again because I don't like being ignored after dropping a large sum of money and you basically have no recourse.

Stairway to spiders! (BUT still quaint, cute, & cozy)
Condo was nice and clean inside, but the outside downstairs patio was not clean at all. The upstairs deck did not have cushions on the chairs as described in photos. The Twin beds were uncomfortable, especially attempting to push the 2 together to make a king like the description suggested. It was SO uncomfortable, especially after a long drive from Helena through East to West Glacier the day we arrived. So I would suggest supplying a connecting wedge for the mattresses and/or a comfortable mattress topper, so that they will convert to a king, easily. Also, I woke up to a spider on the bed and then another creepy crawly that night ON THE BED. Phobia or not, I don't see how anyone could relax and attempt to sleep soundly after that happens. Understanding, of course, that the bedrooms are downstairs in a condo surrounded by trees. Maybe if it was sprayed and the back patio was cleaned off of the debris that covered it, that may have helped. The pictures do not correlate with what the patio off of the master looked like at all! It would have also had been nice for both bedrooms to have a TV. I never received a reply back from the service about where exactly to find the "private beach", so we were never able to get close to the water at White Fish lake, unfortunately. Everything we needed was available, so 5 stars on that, but the communication was lacking and the leaky upstairs bathtub faucet could use some work (which did not bother any of us, but it may affect the water bill!). The remodel does look nice, but the outside could have been cleaned up more. It is summer, so a quick sweep up of the fallen leaves and debris and straightening of the outside furniture would have been more appealing. Definitely cozy, I will say. I would also suggest adding in the description that both bedrooms are downstairs. I don't think it says that, but maybe I just read over it too fast. That would have been helpful to know since the stairs were a problem for the older couple that was with us.

Great stay in Montana
My mom is sick, so we had a mini getaway and it was amazing from start to finish. The chalet was over and above what we expected. Beautiful decor, countless amenities, and comfortable furniture and beds. We loved eating on the deck, and our weather was perfect. We were close to Whitefish for groceries, meals, and shopping, had a day of golf and a breathtaking day at Glacier. Made unforgettable memories with my parents and sister.

Great ,gorgeous with a disappointment
The property was gorgeous with only 1 disappointment, the walk out onto the patio off the masterbedroom was dirty, and we really couldn't sit on the patio not enough room. Other than that it was awesome.

Our stay in Whitefish at this property was absolutely fantastic. The location was perfectly set inbetween the lodge/hiking on Big Mountain and downtown's awesome restuarants.
The owners were friendly and informative. The condo was beautiful!
