This breezy house, with its beachy-chic interior and wrap around porch will be the perfect place to get away and unwind. A large covered front porch with swing welcomes your arrival. Step up to the oversized second floor living space furnished with plenty of comfortable seating for your large family, and out onto a large second floor deck with sectional seating overlooking the pool below. Enjoy some splashing fun in the pool and a cookout on the pool deck surrounded by a lush tropical landscape of palms and bird of paradise.
The Master Suite features a poster king sized bed and french doors that open to the deck, along with a large bath with whirlpool tub. Relax in style with hardwood and bamboo floors throughout the house. A sleigh style bed adorns the second bedroom and a second bath joins both this bedroom another bedroom with king sized bed. The kids can hang out in the den below which provides great sleeping space with two full-sized bunks and a full bathroom separate from the rest of the house. Cook up dinner "at home" in the fully stocked kitchen with window overlooking the front covered deck and preserve across the street.
Be sure to bring your boat along to launch into the intracoastal waterway at the park right around the corner (1 mile) for a day of boating and fishing. The Matanzas Inlet is about 6 miles down the river and the Old City of St. Augustine is about 8 miles up river. The white sand, dunes and waves are just a one mile walk or a quick drive up the neighborhood street and across A1A. Park your cars and boat in the ample pull-under area and driveway.

There is plenty of room for large families, we had 9 people stay here and never felt cramped. We had a great time!!

Overall, nice. Needs paint stair rails need to be cleaned. Some updated needed in bathrooms. Loved the outside covered porch. Plenty of seating. Plastic chairs outside cracked. Plenty of chairs and a wagon to take to the beach if needed.

We enjoyed a relaxing weekend celebrating a bride to be! The house was gorgeous and worked perfectly for our small get-together. The house was located near many stores, restaurants, and downtown St. Augustine. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

We loved our long weekend at this cute beachy house. Nice private pool to enjoy out back. Large comfy deck to relax together and loads of seating to watch a good movie. Only disclaimer is the amount of stairs involved getting to and from parking, living area and pool. Would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues.

The house was clean and all prepared for our stay and has plenty of space! The kitchen was well equipped and both kitchen and bathrooms had all the needed essentials to get started.
Unfortunately the pool heating wasn’t working and the pool quite cold. But it was resolved quickly. The interior of the house feels a bit dated and worn out - especially the bed in the master bedroom.

The inside of the house was clean and fit our family nicely. There are some maintenance issues & some outdoor items that need attending. I am emailing those to the property manager and I am sure they will take care of them. Driving on the beach if you have 4x4 was a great plus and should be noted in the description. Great location between river and ocean!

Interior was clean and perfect for our group of 6. Exterior could use some attention. Pool umbrellas were moldy. Hard to access pool toys in overgrown shrubs and they were dirty and wet.

While the changed our checking time at the last minute... which made things somewhat difficult... since we had planned our trip to the minute...
The pool needed attention... cleaning and water... and was told that someone would be over to address it... no one ever came... we had to fix the dryer...
The hot water tank is to small or set to low to accommodate the amount of guests that can sleep there.

Loved this spot! Excellent location. Close to the beach and great restaurants. Wonderful if you don't want to leave the house too! Kids loved the pool and the bunk room. Comfortable beds and couches to lounge. Nicely equipped kitchen if you don't want to eat out all the time. Quiet area for walks too!

Family trip with 9 of us and we all loved the house and the location. Plenty of room, clean, fun decor, well-stocked kitchen, short walk to the beach, and an even shorter walk to the river. As noted in other reviews, there are some items that need to be fixed and the property in general could use a little TLC, but nothing that really affected our stay. The temps were cooler while we were there, but the pool never got very warm, so not sure if an issue with pool heater or just the weather.

Decent Place- Lots of little things that are broken or don’t work properly.
First let me say that itrip vacations was a phenomenal company and was always just a text away when I needed them. I stayed in this home 2 times in the span of two weeks. The first time there was a pull out couch that didn’t pull out, none of the remotes had batteries and the dining room chairs were all about to fall apart. Itrip vacations sent a handyman out to rectify the problems in a timely manner. A few days later i was grilling and the entire bottom of the grill fell out almost right on my feet. A new grill was purchased and was there for our second trip. A few other wonky things about this place. The outlets and all worn and dont hold any prongs in place allowing anything charging to possibly fall right out. We had a few problems with hot water to certain fixtures. The kitchen sink fixture is broken and it is difficult to change from spray mode to regular. Overall this was a good experience except it seems the owner of this place is not interested in upkeep. That worked out for us as we had teenagers, so I didn’t have to worry about them breaking things as most of the fixtures and appliances get so much wear and are in need of some repair when we arrived. Bring a small tool kit as you may have to tighten legs on a chair or tighten up a door knob that is barely hanging on. If you need space near the beach and aren’t worried about having everything work perfectly this may be your space. For the price i dont think it is worth it. For future trips i will most likely us itrip vacations but will not stay at this unit.

It was a good location for us being near the beach but also not too far from downtown St. Augustine. I do think the property is a little more “well-loved” than the pictures portray but we didn’t mind. They were also a little a stingy with house supplies like TP, paper towels, garbage bags, things like that. For a house with 10 people to have only a single extra roll of TP per bathroom is a little extreme, especially when we’re from out of town and don’t have easy access to purchase our own. We resorted to stashing our own tissue while out to get through the last day, so for other visitors, you might consider bringing your own extras. I would also like to point for other out-of-towners, it was rather difficult to get Ubers or Lyfts at times…ride sharing services seem to be a little unpredictable in this area so I would plan ahead as much as possible. All in all, would visit again!

The open Floorplan living room/dining room/kitchen made a great area to relax with friends. Not to mention the covered porch and very secluded pool area with heated pool. We only wish we could have stayed longer.. We would highly recommend this place for either short or long getaways.

Spacious and comfortable
Had a wonderful girls weekend at the Chiquita Sun House. The house provided a spacious and comfortable setting to provide the back drop to our St Augustine trip-only 15 mins away. We enjoyed lounging on the cushy sofas, sleeping in the soft beds, sipping coffee on the extravagant covered porch, and cooking/dining in the large kitchen. Unfortunately we only dipped our toes in the heated pool, so we will save that for next time.

Everything was as advertised. Getting to drive out onto the beach was a huge benefit. House was comfortable, kitchen well stocked, comfortable beds and huge deck was great a great place to lounge.

Your property could use much needed care. Outside areas Very dirty.
We had a rental; we realize what needs to be done. Wiring, plug ins, shower door? Just needs upkeep.

The pool pump was leaking and most of the water in the pool ran out so we were unable to use the pool which was upsetting, garbage disposal did not work, one of the door handles was very loose and about to fall off. There were very few towels and no beach towels at all that we could find, oven needed to be scrubbed as we tried to cook in the oven after the grill would not work and had to throw away all of the food that was placed in the oven due to the billowing smoke from whatever had been cooked in their previously, we had to open windows and doors to air the home out from black billowing eye burning smoke. We left a day early due to these issues. But all in all we would certainly stay there again as it was big enough for our gang and other than the few snafus we enjoyed our time spent together at the house. And the back deck is amazing, this is where we spent most of our time.

This house is not located on the beach but was just a very short walk to the beach. The house is beautifully decorated and has a wonderful heated private pool. We stayed here for our daughters 16th birthday and it did not disappoint! The location is perfect, just a short drive to old st Augustine or a short walk to the beach. The beach was not crowded at all either! I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to visit St Augustine.

Down stairs bathroom had mold. Ice maker did not work. Pool and pool area not clean with way to many bushes. Sorry it just seems like the place needs some love.

Nice large home which was a great space for a group of 6 teenage boys. However, home was extremely worn down & needed a lot of TLC. Cabinets chipped and wouldn't close, pool area & yard not maintained. Overall, house was large & clean but needed a lot of work done. I wouldn't stay again for the price for the condition of home. Also, home was far from the beach with no sidewalk or place to cross busy street.
