Good location.
The cleaning staff was so rude as we checked in late at night and I asked the host if we can check out a bit late, to which he agreed (highly appreciated) but as soon as it was our supposed checkout time, the cleaning lady came and asked us to leave. Upon advising her that we have received a late check out permission from the host, she didn’t care at all and started yelling at us saying “I don’t care, leave now” I asked her not to yell and talk to the owner, if she had any problems. But she ruined our morning with all the yelling for a good half an hour.

Clean
If you are only looking for a place to sleep, then this is for you. Not for fun seekers.

owner was friendly, didn’t see any more staff, stayed extra day
Not that clean, pictures when booking must of been years ago when in was fist done, cloudless use paint and solid core doors to block hearing other people

Price was great. Very spacious.
No Kleenex. One shower head has a crack and leaks. Bed side table clamps fixed with tape. It would be nice to be able to control the air conditioning as I found it was too warm for my comfort.

The house was clean and room was great, the soaker tub was amazing
The shower looked amazing and was excited to use it but it only has the option of scolding hot even when the tap part was on cold and no one there to fix it. Told the owner about it after and he didn't seen to be too concerned so I couldn't shower unless I wanted to be burned. Had to do that once and fried my hair and died after just to quickly rinse myself

It was easy access from the main road. I recieved communication about how to enter and get my room when I needed it. It was well represented in the photos online, comfortable and clean. Communication with the host was pretty quick and they helped me out with my requests.
There was bare bones in the kitchen. One hot plate for all the guests, one large bowel. I was prepared to clean my dishes but the sponges and towels all stank quite badly of mildew and I couldn't find any replacements. A small amount of paper towel was provided but I didn't get a chance to ask the host about getting more or changing that. The walls were also quite thin. Other guests were fairly quiet but could hear other's music often and street sounds were loud.

Michael's Lodge was close to where I needed to be. And, in theory, the spa/sauna bathroom should have made the stay worthwhile.
There were numerous problems with the Lodge. "Small" stuff like noisy people violently having sex and shaking the entire Lodge for hours on end not being handled by staff, or the scalding hot shower that had been incorrectly plumbed to only the hot water lines - with a broken showerhead spraying boiling-hot water everywhere - could be overlooked, maybe.
But I'll focus on the absolutely disgusting fact that the jetted tub had never been properly flushed and cleaned. I spent two days of my trip and a considerable amount of my own money trying to wash out the human waste (skin, oils, and other goo) from the spa bath piping. I ended up using fourteen spa detergent pods and a sanitization puck and there was STILL brown sticky human waste coming out of the jets after the 14th flush. Disgusting. Just absolutely vile and nauseating. It's not that hard to cheaply maintain a jetted tub once a week, even for a hotel. No one had bothered to flush and clean the pipes in god-knows how long. Gross.

The over all house looks like a million bucks. The chandeliers... The staircase with lighting was blinding going up but pretty. The light green rm. I liked the nice big bathroom, the overhead shower was a dream. I liked not having to step over a tub. The bed was comfortable. In room fridge was a bonus! I would stay there again but I want the blue rm next time!
With the money you must be making, you should fix the little things like nail pops and furniture in the bedrooms. Looks like a lot of cast offs

The first night we had room B2 with shared bathroom which was very dirty and used. Second night we had the bedroom upstairs With private bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and steam shower which was to die for. Made a huge difference having our own bathroom as we didn't have to get dressed everytime we needed to go to the bathroom. Very easy check in on our arrival and Michael was very accommodating.
There were other occupants who were smoking crack in the house and looked pretty sketchy. I was scared the first night but I believe they were kicked out on our second night which was a much more relaxing night. The shared bathroom needs cleaning and sanitizing throughout the day and there was no toilet paper. I would not have a shower in the shared bathroom.
If bathrooms were cleaned with toilet paper and I didn't experience our stay with the occupants we shared this home with during our stay.....I would have rated it at an 8.

The room was very comfortable and clean. We were pleasantly surprised to see a king-sized bed, instead of the advertised queen. The bed was of good quality and very comfortable.
We never really met the host and only bumped into a couple of people while we were there.
Everything was clean and tidy.
The bath, shower and bidet were good quality and all worked well.
I was happy that there was a mini-fridge in the room.
In-floor heating with control in the room was also a nice bonus.
-The neighbourhood is dangerous. Don't bring a nice car! There is also no option to park inside the gate.
-The bathtub had a temperature limiter, so it never quite got hot enough.
-The kitchen is for community use for all guests. It sadly lacked supplies including spoons and other basics. There were 2 cupboards with food inside that had notes not to touch as they belonged to long-term guests.
-Thin walls. We could hear people in other rooms and moving around the house. This wasn't too bad, probably because we went in January.

Room was a good size, bed was big and comfortable. Located across the street from a 7/11 for all my coffee needs, buses to and from Surrey Central from outside for SkyTrain access to Downtown. A couple of malls are a short(ish) walk or bus ride away for any grocery shopping you need to do.
Passcode lock on the front door, fully equipped kitchen and amenities throughout.
Thin walls... I think this is more of a common thing with North American construction methods. Could hear the TV blasting bollywood at 3am in the room next door and their "grown up" hobbies... Resident across the hall slamming doors and screaming at someone in her room for a couple of hours at 2am.
A slightly leaky gutter outside my room (it's Raincouver after all) and the lock on my door was badly fitted but Michael had his handyman down really quickly to refit it which was impressive and welcom.
