About this house rental
Ask about our winter monthly pricing. A beautiful, newly updated 100-year-old home situated literally steps from the beaches of Lake Superior!
The views from our home are incredible. Every morning you are greeted with the most gorgeous Lake Superior sunrise. Ships will be frequently parked just outside your window awaiting their turn to pass under the iconic Aerial Lift Bridge, which is just a short walk away. This home features an amazing bunk room with a queen, full and two twin beds, it's named after Grandma Evelyn. Across the hall, the Arlene room (named after our other grandma) has a spacious king-sized bed. These two rooms have an incredible view facing east overlooking the beach and stunning Lake Superior.
The third bedroom, fondly named the Sundrop Room in memory of our dad, also has a King-sized bed. You have a view of Lake Superior from the south window looking to the east. This second-level room also features a spacious, adjacent porch with a private deck. Plenty of space for a pack-n-play or air mattresses.
All this is situated in Duluth's famous Park Point and is just a short walk down the beach from the Aerial Lift Bridge and Grandma's Restaurant in Canal Park. You're only steps away from Lake Superior's public five-mile sandy beach and Franklin Tot Lot, which is a rare find.
The yard has a front and back deck, gas grill and an amazing lake view and access.
Other items available: pack-n-play, booster chair, double stroller

The Sundrop Beach House is a wonderful place to spend time. The location is amazing, right on the beach, close to the shopping and dining of Canal Park, and with an incredible view of the lake. The house itself is clean and extremely well appointed. There is a great selection of tea and coffee provided as well as the basic kitchen supplies you need for cooking and baking. I stayed on my own, but the space is setup very well for a larger group with multiple living/play areas and an awesome double bunkbed arrangement in one of the bedrooms. Finally, the communication with the owner was exceptional. She made sure I had everything I needed and was incredibly prompt with providing arrival information and then checking in once I had settled in to make sure my stay was going smoothly. I definitely recommend the Sundrop Beach House to anyone looking to spend a little time on the Big Lake.

This is a very comfortable house in a great location. It is well stocked, spacious and immediately felt like home. The views of the lake with gorgeous sun rises, arriving ships, nice beaches and lots to do within walking distance made it the perfect place for a month long stay. The owner has put a lot of thought into making a stay here a great experience. It met all of our needs and more. We would definitely stay here again!

Our month at the Sundrop Beach House was wonderful! The location is ideal - mere steps to the beach and quick walkable access to Canal Park attractions, bars, and restaurants. The home is adorable - clean, cozy and generously stocked with delicious local coffee and anything else you could need including a fully equipped kitchen. The views from the deck are as spectacular as those from the beach and Lake Superior is magical - we loved watching the big ships come and go and the sail boats were beautiful. Miki is a delightful and responsive host. We highly recommended this property and will definitely return!
