About this house rental
You can have it all here: live right on Rowleys Bay in a charming, airy waterfront house. Our beautiful home is intimate enough for a quiet getaway or big enough for a reunion with family and/or friends.
The home is situated just north of Sister Bay on the banks of Rowleys Bay, a beautiful, all natural waterfront looking out on Lake Michigan. It’s adjacent to the Mink River Estuary, a protected nature preserve. There is beautiful unspoiled scenery all around the home —perfect for bird watching, hiking, etc. The home is quiet and secluded with the marina offering kayaking and boat rentals in season for exploring the Bay and the Mink River. Bicycling is also a great way to view the beauty of the area.
The house, which sleeps from 2-10, has it all, including four spacious bedrooms (two with views of the Bay), a hide-a-bed in the living room, a modern, spacious, full-service kitchen, and a screened porch and beautiful deck with lovely, pristine lake views. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths upstairs, 1 bedroom and 1.5 baths downstairs. There is even your own private Lake-front access for water play by day and star-gazing by night.
The home is perfect for all occasions--and fun for all with a VCR/DVD player and satellite TV. It is available year round—in fact, winter offers
beautiful scenery along with peace and tranquility. You can text and check e-mail from our living room--our home has free WiFi access.
You can do as you like--relax at home, or visit and enjoy world class shopping, golfing and mini golf in one of the many charming towns just a short drive away (Ellison Bay, Sister Bay, Ephraim, etc.). You can enjoy nature near our house or at nearby Newport State Park.
Why The Owner chose Door County
Our family has been coming to Rowleys Bay for several years, drawn back year after year by the natural beauty of the Bay and Lake Michigan. We loved it so much, we decided to build a lovely year round home here. Nearby Sister Bay (a short drive away) has always been one of our favorite towns in Door County, WI. Al Johnson's Restaurant, Sister Bay Bowl and Supper Club, and Pirates Cove mini-golf are just some of the many fun attractions there. We can experience the seclusion of our house and Sister Bay all together--the best of all worlds in this lovely setting.

Our favorite house in Rowley’s Bay - Door County!
We recently had a wonderful winter getaway in this beautiful house. The ducks and geese on the lake were beautiful to watch, as was the falling snow. There’s a private shoreline just steps away. The house has a big wood-burning fireplace, which contributed to the cozy serenity. There are high ceilings and lots
of natural light in this home, with four spacious bedrooms, so there is room for everyone in the family, or even two families or a group of friends who want to enjoy time together. The view of Lake Michigan is gorgeous! There’s a small, wooded park next to the house, and a hiking trail behind the lodge, and
Newport State Park is just across the bay. Restaurants and shops in both Sister Bay and Ellison Bay are less than a ten-minute drive away, so there’s plenty to do if you wish. We tried Al Johnson’s Restaurant in Sister Bay and Kick Ash Coffee in Ellison Bay – they are open year-round! We felt like we got the best of both worlds - serenity on the "quiet side" of Lake Michigan with plenty of activities a short drive away.

My (then) girlfriend and I booked a trip at this rental house with my parents for a nice summer getaway. By the end of the trip, I left with a new fiance! Door County is a special place and this house offers the perfect DC Experience. The place is a nice short drive to several of the small towns, but also secluded enough to give you the feel of a true getaway. Access right through the backyard to Lake Michigan is very convenient (the lake is rocky, bring your water shoes), and you can walk 5 minutes down the road to a lodge which has a bakery/cafe, a small bar, and offers canoe/kayak rentals. The house itself offers a good living space, a kitchen with everything you may need, and plenty of board games if weather forces you inside. We will definitely be visiting again!

Stayed here with 4 of my sisters. Really enjoyed this house and location !

Very outdated and all supplies including toilet paper and kitchen garbage bag are not provided! I do cleaning myself and those things plus other convenience items are provided. The coffee makers were so gross we had to buy our own vinegar to clean it with, plus couldn’t use the one because the filter was moldy!

The place was perfect for our family. We had an unfortunate event which was out of everyone's control, but our last night Rawley's Bay Resort was on fire which started early afternoon and did not allow us to return to the property. This left us stranded with two kids (newborn and one just over 2) and six adults. Nothing worse then being left without formula for babies and medicine for adults that needed it. Very unfortunate!

Lovely property in great location.
Kitchen could’ve been cleaner, but we had it in shape in about 30 minutes using the products they had on hand.
Even considering that, we would absolutely stay again. House was comfy, management was very responsive and the location and property were gorgeous.

We were up for our youngest daughter’s wedding, it was an absolutely beautiful location. The best part was it is in a dark sky area, so in the evening we laid on our backs on the deck and watched the stars with our grandchildren, it was perfect.

This was the perfect place for our family of three couples. Plenty of space (each couple had their own bathroom), everything you need to prepare meals, and great outdoor space just steps away from Rowley’s Bay. This is a very quiet part of the peninsula, but just minutes away from restaurants and shops in Ellison Bay and Sister Bay. We plan to be back again next year.

Quaint, Cozy Cottage on Lake Michigan
Quaint, cozy, but large cottage on Lake Michigan. Wooded lot/yard, spacious house with a beautiful lake view of Rowley’s Bay. Peaceful area, quiet neighborhood. Very close to Sister Bay where we spent most of our time. Within 20-30 min drive of other Door County harbors.

Fun in Rowleys Bay
Great location and water views. We saw eagles fly by every morning along our shore. Comfortable and plenty of room for 5 adults. Spending days at Newport State Park hiking beaches and forest trails. Lots of fun visiting some of our favorite galleries as we would cruise through towns. We will definitely come back.

Quiet in Door County
We spent a nice quiet five days at the Rowley's Bay home. It was clean and spacious. There is plenty to do in the area, although thigs start closing down late in October. It was nice for families.

Perfect Place
We had 6 people at the house to ride the Door County Century and it was the perfect spot for all we wanted to do. We could not have asked for a better place.

Wonderful place to spend time with family
We celebrated our 40th anniversary with our family and enjoyed our time at the rental house very much. We had stayed up there on our honeymoon (different house) and loved going back to the area! There was plenty of room for everyone, the bedrooms were large and the kitchen was very well stocked. It had everything we needed for cooking.
If there was a "downside" at all, I would say parking was a little difficult for a few vehicles, but in that location, there's not much you can do about that. It would have also been nice to have a firepit outside in the evenings. But all in all we enjoyed the home -- the view on the water and listening to the waves was amazing! Thank you for sharing your home!

Beautiful view!
We stayed here with our 3 girls. Very family friendly, beautiful property! Furnishings and decor were a bit dated and internet was sketchy, but the view of the water and ability for the girls to go play on the beach was a huge plus! I was worried about the property not having air conditioning, but it was so much cooler next to the lake than on the other side of the peninsula! The cabin had everything we needed! Thanks so much for sharing your piece of Door County!

Nice and cozy
The place accommodated us very well. The only thing I would suggest is the front door to get into the house needs to be replaced. It took us about four minutes to get the key into the lock and open it. I believe it needs to be replaced. Other than that it was wonderful

Very relaxing just what we needed.
Nice place, perfect for relaxing while listening to the waves on the shore. Saw deer and turkey in the back yard. Only downer was the grill and stove were filthy. Lucky we are the cleaning types and had everything ship shape in no time.

On the lake
This property is right on Lake Michigan. It is beautiful, plenty of room for a family or group. We will go back.
