The room was too small and for the price that they charge they should at least offer a simple breakfast.

Clear up breakfast times

They placed us in rooms opposite each other

We asked at check in the evening beforehand what time we could get breakfast for and were informed 7-7:30 as per two different written items (menu and check in document) . We advised them we would be leaving at 7:30 am and were told it would take 15 mins to prepare something such as omelettes . With our driver waiting we ended up waiting 45 mins for a breakfast to appear that we didn't order and ended up leaving having had a dry piece of toast each. If people have paid for breakfast and requested in advance a time I don't feel it is fair to have them waiting 45 mins for a juice ,tea or toast never mind any other items . Bedding had blue marks on them and hair matted into pillows.

There is nothing to sum up as we were horrified by the service provided by Booking.com

It is absolutely shame for Booking.com to list this property. Booking.com never (until today) responded to my email about cancellation of this booking. Booking.com is ONLY after money and they took the commission from this property and kept silent. Not at all fair by me as a customer!!!!:(

Cheap scam

I was searching the hotel which suits my budget. The price of 13 700 lkr was ok. So I booked and confirmed with the card. This booking is non-refundable. It was ok, because I liked the picture.

But when we came, the boy at the reception gave us the bill of 14 150 lkr. Yes, not big difference, but it has spoiled the impression. I asked to charge me the price I saw while booking and he started calling to somebody (manager I suppose). That person decided not to reduce the price (anyway I put my card, even if I refuse they will charge me). I said “ok” 450 rupees is not big amount, I’ll pay, but I put you one star for such attitude to the client. The boy said “ok”. One more thing. The check out time is 12 pm. At 10:30 am the phone rang and the lady from the reception ask me: “when are we going to check out?” Whaaat??? So here is you 1* review Of course you can decide whether to stay there or not. But I’ll write here, that we changed the hotel right after that and found a better option not very far for 8500 lkr with the restaurant downstairs, bigger room and cleaner toilet.

Location is superb and friendly staff.

Location and easy access to Galle road colombo, also its near by many other Facilites like banks main shopping area within the premises, outside restaurants etc....

They offered single room, but space and comfort not enough for a businessman. no space for keep laptop etc.. also doble room charges little higher than single room. hope property can consider rates better, also TV absolutely not working, wifi also had an issues after a day they gave me access to wifi.

A pleasant hotel

All the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Room was very comfortable. Great shower. Very short TukTuk ride to the beach bars.

Although the bed had a lovely thick duvet, it meant you had to have the aircon on all night. The ceiling fan was a little noisy, even at its lowest speed. Couldn't get any of the WiFis to work. The TV didn't have any working channels. The safe didn't work.

Room was good.Dissappointed of American bfast

Worse break fast I ever had. Ordered American bf @ 730 and received around 8am. Omelet, grill veg, mash potato , sausages, were very cold. Seems like pre cook hours before. I had only d papaya juice, water melon cubs only for Rs 1,500 charged by them for the American Bf. Not worth. Waste of money. All stays break fast was not good.

My overall stay was very pleasant!

My stay at Viveka hotel was delightful! Hotel is located in a really good location with lots of amenities in walking distance. The room was very clean! They allow late check-ins, even in the middle of the night, I checked-in at 1am! The staff was SUPER LOVELY, 10/10! They were so kind and helpful. The aircon in the room I initially got wasn't working well and when I informed the staff, they attended to it right away and changed my room. I ordered room service many times during my stay and the food was delicious! I got food poisoning towards the end of my stay (please note the hotel had nothing to do with it), the kitchen staff went out of their way to change the menu to accommodate my needs. They have 24/7 staff at the hotel, and they would attend to your needs any time of the day. Overall I had an amazing stay. Would definitely stay there again during my next visit to Sri Lanka!

The only negative thing is renovations are due and the hotel would benefit by doing a few touch ups.

Comfortable, clean, ideal location, affordable.

Staff were lovely and incredibly helpful. Helped us take our luggage to our room. Even explained to us that they could have amended our room price if we had called ahead to tell them that we didn't need it overnight. Room was big, clean and comfortable.

Only issue was our shower pressure in the room wasn't great. We were there only for a few hours so didn't have the chance to flag it up with staff, however I'm sure if I did, they would have sorted something about it.

Great value for money

Really great location. The room was spacious with a nice bathroom. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Colombo.

No items in the mini bar. No regular housekeeping, so we missed the complimentary water refills.

Okay stay

Big bed, nice bathroom and had a fridge. Big rooms and friendly staff.

The room had a TV, but it did not work. The fridge was not that cold, and it turns off when we leave the room with the key. The internet wifi is very bad aswell. There js almost no water in the sink. The shower has no hot water, and we also did not get any shampoo because they ran out of samples. If you need fast internet in order to work, I would not reccomend staying here. There is almost no service, so we often had Edge internet and no 4G.
