About this house rental
Set in a stunning, rural location, Rhyd Lechog is a superb detached Welsh long cottage, with the original part of the cottage dating back some 300 years.
The cottage enjoys wonderful country and hillside views and is just less than two miles from the traditional market town of Llanrwst in the Conwy Valley, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park.
Rhyd Lechog is sure to delight and is ideal for couples, friends and families wishing to spend quality time together exploring this beautiful part of Wales and the Conwy Valley.
This beautifully presented cottage has been lovingly and sympathetically refurbished to a high standard and boasts many lovely features throughout, such as slate and stripped wood floors, exposed ceiling beams, ledge and brace doors, impressive oak lintels and inglenook fireplaces, along with modern day comforts you’d expect.
The accommodation extends the whole of the ground floor with the exception of two attic bedrooms.
You enter into the oldest part of the cottage and straight away will be in awe of the wonderful charm and character of the cottage which will just draw you in, you’ll soon feel at home and relaxed ready to start your holiday.
The spacious accommodation has been well thought out with comfort in mind, well-presented and decorated in soft palettes of white with splashes of colour and contrasting accessories create a soothing ambience throughout.
With not just one but two impressive inglenook fireplaces, each housing a warming wood burning stove so you’ll be toasty warm here, whether you spend the evening around the large kitchen table, enjoying a meal together or relaxing in the spacious sitting room talking long into the evening, reminiscing over the days adventures.
One of the two bathrooms boasts a lovely roll top slipper bath, so relax and soothe away those aching muscles and pamper yourself a little after a day walking in the hills.
The five bedrooms, two of which are in the attic with sloping ceilings are well appointed, chic and individually styled.
Rhyd Lechog is set in its own gardens which are mostly lawned with an abundance of mature shrubs, plants and small trees.
The lawn to the side extends down to the river bank where you can enjoy a picnic without having to venture away from the cottage!
There are countryside walks on the doorstep or for the more energetic the mountains of the Snowdonia Range are a short drive away.
The traditional market town of Llanrwst has many shops, eating establishments and pubs is close by, enjoy a stroll along the riverbanks of the River Conwy, and visit the world-famous Tu-Hwnt-I'r Bont Tea rooms for afternoon tea, treat yourself to one of the many home baked cakes on offer, why not take some back to the cottage to be enjoyed later.
Further afield is Betws-y-Coed, visit Zip World Fforest and Fforest Coaster, the National Trust’s Bodnant Garden, North Wales’ coastline and Anglesey, are all just waiting to be discovered and explored.
For the more adventurous, seeking thrills and spills, visit Blaenau Ffestiniog for the day.
Home to Zip World Titan, the longest four-man zip wire in Europe, and Bounce Below and Zip World Caverns, an underground network of trampolines and zip wires, it is sure to exhilarate!
If you fancy a more leisurely day out, then take the Ffestiniog steam train to Porthmadog, on the coast.
With so much to discover, see and experience, this cottage is truly wonderful for a holiday in North Wales at any time of year.

This property was exactly what we were after. We had our family stay together with ages which ranged from 11-75 and we all absolutely loved it, plus it was perfect for our dog too. The garden kept the kids off their phones with the swing and plenty of grass for the dog to run and roam around the stream. Will be coming back for sure!
