The house is in a great location and our dogs really loved the fenced in yard.

Spent two nights for the Leadville 50 run and bike. Perfect location. Everything in house was well appointed and thoughtful. Could tell owner cared about the details. Will return.
4.7
The house was perfect for a 5 night stay. We enjoyed the hot tub and backyard. The house was well stocked and clean when we arrived. We did not use the upstairs area, but that would be an awesome place for the kiddos to sleep. We will definitely be back!!
4.7
This was a great place for our family. We decided to cook our own meals so the kitchen was great. We appreciated all the dishes available, pots and pans, extra spices, etc. The hot tub was great after a day of skiing.

The house was great, as was the hot tub. It is right in town, just a few blocks off of downtown.

We were able to stay one night here while attending a mountain bike race at the college. Perfect space for two families. Nice kitchen and dining area. Great location walkable to main street and coffee. Lots of parking.

Location was great - easy access was awesome. Loved the history of the house -- Mom would be proud! Only wish we had more days to enjoy our stay!

This was a great location on three night work related trip to Leadville. Convenient location, very clean and spacious house. Good wifi.

We really liked staying here at Mom's House. While here, we skied at nearby Ski Cooper (30 min drive; Copper Mtn is closer but more advanced). We also did some hiking with our dog (Max). Max enjoyed the house too -- it seemed like our home away from home for everyone!
The layout of the house was great for us. Enough space for everyone esp "privacy-hungry" teens!
The location was a short 5-10 min walk to cute downtown Leadville. We liked that so we could just park the car right when we got there and walk for shopping & dining. We would stay here again maybe during a different season so we could try different (warmer) activities next time. Leadville was really cute!

Our family of 7 stayed the night after a day of skiing at ski Cooper. It was wonderful and very comfortable after a day on the slopes! We would definitely stay again!

The house is clean and well stocked. It has the perfect amount of space for a family and a dog. The hot tub, games, and large television allow for lots of built in entertainment. The proximity to downtown makes for easy strolls to the coffee shop. Overall a great experience!

We have been renting VRBOs in Leadville for about ten years now and this location was by far our favorite. Very comfy home with lots of space. Hot tub was perfect after a day of skiing at Ski Cooper. We will definitely try to rent this property again.

Very best Leadville rental
This property is located perfectly. It has been remodeled very nicely, and has all the amenities - we really felt at home. And so did our dog. We would come back here in a heartbeat.

Perfect Space
Mom's House was the perfect spot to accommodate my husband and I (king size bed in spacious room), and my son (queen size bed) and their two boys (upstairs loft with multiple beds). We used the front porch and fenced in back yard for the family dog and the very clean hot tub for relaxing. There was enough space to spread out and accommodate family eating and family time. Two bathrooms and laundry made the stay very comfortable. Would recommend to any one traveling with more than one family. This could easily have accommodated three families with multiple children. Clean, comfortable and kitchen had enough cooking and eating utensils. Walkable distance to downtown. Would stay here again.

This property is just beautiful. We loved it. Check in was easy. Property manager got back to me immediately. Clean and stocked. Just bring your food. One block from the cute little town. 15 minutes from Cooper. PERFECT. Just wish we had more time. We are planning a week trip and will stay here. Everyone together. Lots of space so you're not crowded together. My overall rating is 4 stars because check in is 4 p.m. and check out is 10 a.m. I think they should at least allow an 11 a.m. check out.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and we'd have no problem renting the home again. Leadville is a wonderful, little town (try High Mountain Pies for some delicious food)! The house was close to everything and perfect for the 7 of us. The sidewalk was shoveled when we arrived and the house was warm and ready for our arrival. We generally had everything we needed while there - although we spent most of our days out skiing at Cooper. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms & kitchen updated. Nice selection of movies, puzzles, and games (although the ones we played were missing pieces).
A few items of note:
(1) Communication is quick but strange. I would get texts and emails with conflicting info that made things confusing at times. "Thank you for checking out." "Please remember to check out." Those types of things. There was also no place with general info about the home. I've never stayed in a place that didn't have a binder or something similar with all the details you might wonder about - wifi, thermostats, check out process, access, local recommendations, location of tp, towels, blankets, house rules, etc. Some of that information was located on an app they use but not much and as I was the only one that downloaded the app, everyone in the house had to constantly ask for info that would be nice to have readily available. A quick and easy fix that would make a big difference!
(2) There were some safety issues that we let the owner/management company know about. Both were electrical in nature so I hope they make them a priority to get fixed. The light switch upstairs would shock my kids every time they turned it on and the lamp in the room with the queen bed has clearly been broken and taped back together. If you leave it on for any length of time, it starts to smell like burning.
(3) I have some questions about the cleaning. There was leftover food from previous guests in the fridge, freezer, and cabinets. I don't know if those areas are cleaned after guests leave. Also, there was a decent amount of pet hair in the house. I know this is a pet friendly home so that is to be expected but it seemed like too much.
Again, the items listed above are not much of a big deal and wouldn't hinder us from staying here if we return to Leadville. I imagine some of these issues will be address quickly. Still, I know that I always appreciate a thorough and honest review of a home so I know what I'm renting.

Great location
House was overall better than it looked in the photos. Recent updates. Had everything we needed to cook, etc.
Definitely had an odor of animals having been there.
4.7
The house is much better in person. The pictures do not do it justice. We had four adults and three kids and we had plenty of room. We even had three additional family members stop over one day and still had plenty of room. The upstairs was a good space for the kids. The twin bed shown is actually a trundle bed. The two bedrooms down stairs has one king bed and one queen. Each one also had an ottoman that was a twin pull out. It would be better if the house had a gas grill not a charcoal grill that was stuck out in the snow. When we arrived the sidewalk had not been shoveled but we called the host and someone came right over to shovel. Quite neighborhood walking distance to downtown.

The place is great. The whole place is updated and far more modern than you can expect elsewhere in Leadville. The yard space and surrounding fence were fantastic for my dog. He loved it. Kitchen and everything else is updated. Plenty of space in all the rooms including the bedrooms. I can't recommend it enough!
