Our get-together included grandparents, our children and their children. This house was large enough to accommodate all of us so comfortably. We were able to enjoy our group time, but also each family had its own space. The house is beautiful, with so many neat nooks and crannies. This is a vacation we will always remember. We would definitely recommend it to others.

This was our second stay at this property and just like the first stay, it was perfect. Beautiful home with lots of space, close to anything you may need (ECU, Walmart, restaurants, etc.), yet the quietness of the neighborhood makes it feel like you're far from anything busy and loud. This time when we arrived, I was unable to locate the key code that was emailed to me. I reached out to Randy and within seconds, he called and got me into the house. He is an amazing host that truly cares about the people staying in his amazing home. I can't thank him enough.

This house was in a great spot for us to visit family for the Christmas holiday and the week leading up to New Year’s. The home is centrally located in Greenville just a stones throw from ECU and other downtown activities, attractions, and restaurants. Two adults and two teens had plenty of room to spread out and carve out a little “home” for the holidays. The rec room was great for the kids to watch movies and hang out on their own, and we were able to comfortably host family dinners from 17 folks for potluck Christmas dinner to smaller groups throughout the week. The WiFi worked great throughout the house, the Roku TVs were a nice touch to be able to listen to music or watch our favorite movies/shows, the water pressure was perfect, and we had no issues running out of hot water. The house was a very charming colonial/victorian style with hardwood floors.
Unfortunately the house appears to be severely lacking in maintenance: large cracks and even peeling paint on some ceilings and walls; outlets either outdated, burnt, or broken; rooms without a central/overhead light but instead having multiple lamps not connected to switches or with faulty wiring causing bulbs to flicker or burn out during the course of our stay; untidy repairs to drywall and tile where the water heater, washer/dryer, plumbing, etc had been replaced; the shower curtain rod in the downstairs bath needed to be put back up after falling down when we removed the bathmat that was draped over it. The house is in close proximity to ECU-super convenient! There was plenty of room
To spread out and we even cooked a meal in the kitchen. Cute back yard and the house was clean.

We have an annual conference each year in Greenville. This is the second year we have rented this house and it’s been great - plenty of space for us to spread out and a great patio outside to wind down in the evening.

We had a great experience & the house has lots
of room for family. Owner responded immediately to my request for an extra night stay. When we arrived the outdoor patio lights on & lamps on in the house, It was so warm & inviting. Our son is attending ECU Dental & this house was perfect location & size. The back living area is where we all lounged around & had the best visit with family. House is older with lots of charm & stocked with everything you may need.
We will definitely rent this house again.

This was by far the best experience I have ever had . The owner is very responsive, understanding and caring not just about the property but also about the guest. I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you for a lovely experience. It was worth the 8 hour drive from New York

25 years later… back in Greenville for a self-made reunion with friends. We found this listing and knew it was within walking distance to the stadium on ECU campus and it had enough bedrooms so we booked… when we got there, we found much more than we expected. The home is in a beautiful, well maintained neighborhood and the house, though classic, was wonderful!! It’s MUCH larger than we had anticipated and had all the amenities we needed for a wonderful long weekend! I would highly recommend this property and will stay here again the next time we are in town!

Our family enjoyed our 3 day weekend stay so much that we can’t wait to return next year for another ECU football game. The property is in a perfect location within walking distance of ECU stadium. Large House has everything a family or set of couples need. Very attentive host, fair pricing and fantastic courtyard w for enjoying one’s stay!!

I can't express in words how awesome this property is. The enclosed back yard is perfect for pets and the wood pellet grill worked to perfection. My wife and I visit Greenville regularly as our oldest daughter lives there and I will most definitely book this property again.

Friends and I are ECU alumni, we came back for a football game and we’re greeted with a cookie cake. Very thoughtful and great communication with owner. This was my second time staying at this house! Great location, great size, and very clean!

Large enough house to accommodate more than 8 guests. Nice size yard to hang out. Easy access into the house. Located near ECU and a lot of restaurants and shops. Has washer/dryer for convenience. But decor is not comfortable and cozy. It's kind of outdated, has dim lighting, and beds were not comfortable. The sofa, recliners and cushions on the dinner chair were really dirty. The area rug felt dirty. I can overlook the bathroom door not closing properly but I can't ignore the dirty sofa and area rug. We paid from Friday to Monday but we left on Sunday because it was so uncomfortable.

Great large house
House was as advertised. Clean and fresh upon checkin. Randy responded to communications very promptly. Will book again.

Very spacious. Fenced back yard with pellet grill/smoker which we used and worked great (never used one but it was easy). Great common areas for visiting with family and friends. Kitchen was very functional and stocked with what we needed.
Very close to campus (3 min drive for us to pick up and drop off our student).
Could actually walk to football, basketball games (just under 1 mile).
We really enjoyed it.

This was our second time staying at Greenville Classic during the holidays. Everything was great. The location is centrally located to everything we need and the house is spacious and great for the family. The backyard was great for our dog as well.

Lighten Up!
The Sherwood home is spacious, well-supplied, and conveniently located. The beds are comfortable, but not luxurious (as pictured). Appreciated that fans were provided for rooms that did not have ceiling fans installed. The car port is narrow and can be a challenge to back out of, from the right side. There is a little patio in a fenced backyard. But the BIG issue with this property is the very poor lighting and out-dated/non-existent electrical outlets. None of the bathrooms have electrical outlets and most rooms do not have overhead lighting—-including the kitchen. Not a deal breaker, but it isn’t possible to light any of the 3 fireplaces in the house. All in all, we made it work for our needs. Room to comfortably gather and hot showers were a bigger priority than ambiance. We were satisfied with the rate and enjoyed our stay in Greenville.

This home was perfect for a family gathering for my son's ECU graduation. The home was very clean and in a great location. The owner was so friendly and very quick to respond to any questions. The home is very spacious and has a great fenced in back patio for your pets. I highly recommend.

Charming home/good for kids/quiet neighborhood
We stayed here while visiting family in Vanceboro. I’ve been to many VRBO with my three small children over the last few years, and this one was one of the best because it wasn’t so nicely furnished that you felt like you couldn’t “live” in it, but it wasn’t grubby at all. It was just very comfortable and felt like a home we could relax in. But it was clean and had all the basic necessities (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc). The house is old (built in 1957), which makes it charming to me, just so much character. There are two bedrooms downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs. All four bedrooms have queens, which would be my only complaint (why not a set of twins or a king?), but the mattresses were very comfortable. The owner put fans in the rooms, and that was a huge plus. If you’ve ever lived in an older home in the summer, you’ll know that fans are gold, so I really appreciated this. The WiFi was good, and they had Roku, which worked without issue. The neighborhood is safe and quiet, which is important to me with kids. If this house were for sale and if I were in the market for a home in Greenville, I would buy it!

Thanksgiving in Greenville
Cool, funky old single family home about three blocks from ECU football stadium. This is a legit 4/3 with large bedrooms, big family room and kitchen and a bonus tv/media room. Nice private backyard w/ bbq grill. Great place for a large family or having friends over to visit while in town. The downstairs master with attached bathroom and walk-in shower worked great for the 90 year old that was traveling with us. It had everything you need for your stay including extra toilet paper, cleaning supplies, shampoo, etc.
A couple items do need attention but not a big deal and I'm sure they are easily fixed. Its an older house and the upstairs bathroom door sticks (bad) when closed. Got stuck in there for five minutes. Half the light switches don't turn on a light so you have to walk into a dark room and turn on the light manually. Water didn't work on fridge.
Overall, really cool place to stay, super convenient to downtown Greenville and college. Definitely would stay again.
