Location was perfect and a fabulous view of the harbour. Comfortable beds and plenty of fresh towels.
The property was damp, with patches of mould around the windows and smelt of damp. We could not get the television to work, maybe the remote control battery’s but no spares to change them.

Stairs are steep and narrow. Not suitable for people with limited mobility.
Only toilet is downstairs with small shower. Very limited space so not suitable for larger persons.
No terrestrial TV channels.

We had a wonderful time in Port Isaac and even met one of the Fishermen's friends (Jon who owns the Boathouse across the street). Everybody was super nice, seafood 🦞 was wonderful and the walks are spectacular.
The location of this fisherman cottage is great. Great views, 1 min walk to the pub and harbor.
The cottage itself is a small fisherman’s cottage as expected. We actually were looking forward to it, but this is not by no standards laid out for 4 people.
The master bedroom has a comfortable bed with beautiful views. The second bedroom has a bunk bed and nice views as well.
Our major complaint about this property is about the family bathroom ( the only bathroom). This bathroom is a closet, it is smaller than a square meter, there is no space in the shower to dry off, so you will lean over the toilet to do so. Good luck giving your kid a shower. There is no privacy, because the doors are closet doors, and there is no mirror in the bathroom to take your contacts out or shave, as a matter of fact there is only a mirror above a sink in the second bedroom that would work for shaving.
The kitchen sink is the only standard sink where you can brush your teeth and wash your hands. All the other sinks are 1/3 of the size of a standard sink.
It feels to me that this property is an investment for someone not local, and any improvements made were done with the least financial efforts. The owner clearly has never stayed a single night in this place.
If this was mine, I would reduce the occupancy to 2 people, and make the second bedroom into a nice bathroom (plumbing is already in place). Address the damp on the back wall and upgrade the furniture and kitchen.
This would be wonderful, quaint little cottage in the heart of Port Isaac if this problems would be addressed.
At this point we would not rent this property again.
All those things have been said in reviews before, but it seems like the owners or renal agents don’t care. And then again they might not need anybody to rent this place a second time.

Great location, clean and comfortable.
As I was visiting with a friend, I opted for the bunk bed which was not really suitable for an adult. I would suggest a good single with a truckle bed underneath for more flexibility.
4.1
Cute, in a great location
Comfortable bed, good appointments
Great to have the “Doc Martin” series on DVD to watch while in “Port Wen”
Should have provided paper towels, additional toilet paper, laundry soap, etc. to save trips to market.

Very clean, tidy and well kept
Excellent location close to the village centre
Bathroom was very, very small

This cottage was perfect for our first trip to Cornwall. We loved Port Isaac (aka Port Wenn)! Location was perfect to walk around the village and see everything. Comfortable bedroom; we used the extra bedroom for luggage and had plenty of space. The kitchenette is nicely appointed and it was nice to have coffee, tea, biscuits and apple cider waiting for us :) Nice to have a heated towel rack in the bathroom :)
the bathroom is VERY tiny; the sink is integrated part of the commode, which was only comfortable for washing hands. There were sinks in the bedrooms for brushing teeth, etc. Parking is about a quarter mile away - not a bad walk at all...unless it is pouring rain like it was when we arrived.

location is fabulous, but do bear in mind there is no parking included. Nearest carpark is about 750 metres away up hill. The double bed was super comfy
The seating in lounge area was uncomfortable for 4. Needs a larger sofa and a comfy chair.

De ligging, het rustieke van de woning
Woning is wel beperkt in oppervlakte. Telkens de eettafel opplooien en wegzetten is niet ideaal, maar geeft een speciaal cachet aan het verblijf.

Beautiful views, lovely welcome pack, sweet, cosy cottage.
Tiniest bathroom!

We loved the quirkyness of the property. Location was excellent. The tea, coffee and Cornish apple juice that was there on our arrival was a lovely touch❤️
The 10am checkout is far too early.

Bathroom very tiny.

Location was great, we were Doc Martin fans so to wake up and see the house across the bay from the bedroom window was awesome. The quaint cottage is comfortable with a lounge, comfortable bed, well appointed kitchen, good power head shower, lovely towels and feather pillows. There are also come lovely cornish treats on arrival.
Trying to understand how the parking worked. I had to actually call Sykes to get some information after numerous unanswered booking.com messages. Turns out, you can only park in front of the property to unload your car. Then you need to relocate the car to one of 2 parking areas. St Endillion Car Park from this car park there is coastal path back to the town. Or there is the Port Isaac main car park off Trewetha lane as you drive into town. 15 mins brisk walk back to town. big uphill walk the next morning. Cost 10 pounds for 24 hours depending on what time you get in, you could pay as little as 2 pounds. Also that there was no washing detergent provided to do a wash. If you need any grocery items get them before you get into town. There is a well stocked co op but its a walk up the hill to get your supplies. Also the message you get sent talks about being next to a cafe called Nuts. The cottage is not next to a cafe, there is no cafe Nuts. It is next to an art and sculpture studio.

Lovely little cottage in the heart of Port Isaac. The bedroom is a good size and the bed was the most comfortable we had ever had. Comfortable seating area .
The bathroom was very small .
Parking was ok as we weren't in the main season, but I'm sure it would be in the main holidays. There is quite a steep walk to the car parks.

Everything, good location, nice cozy place to stay if your a couple or small family.
I can't think of anything we didn't like. I'll definitely book again.

Location is great, right in the middle of port Isaac..decoration is nice and some nice touches of local apple juice and biscuits
Very late check in and not flexible for early check in. Upstairs windows did not open which was not ideal in the hot weather. Overall, I feel that this property is a bit overpriced even for this popular/expensive area

Location excellent. Property tired. Lacking useful equipment in kitchen. Full of clutter, under beds/ in wardrobes/ in the kitchen.
Broken window pane.
Double socket in bunk bed room very loose and only one side worked.

Breakfast n/a. Location was amazing - just perfect. Right on the seafront and on the main street so super easy to get to restaurants and pubs etc nearby. It was such a cute and comfy cottage - perfect for a weekend stay.
The cottage was a little cramped (the loo/shower was extremely small - it was fine for a couple of days but any longer it would've probably got a bit much!) and low ceilings were certainly a watch out for tall guests!

Perfect location
The property was not fit for purpose, the landlord new before we arrived that there was a serious mains water leak!!

Larger than expected, perfect set up for 2. Check in was super easy, felt like home straight away.
Wish it came with a private parking space

The cottage was small but cosy, and the location was perfect
The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and very welcome
Sitting in the lounge was a little like being in a goldfish bowl, everyone looking in when walking past . A blind would offer little more privacy
4.1
The location was perfect, with a view across the harbour.
Parking was a long way from the property.

First, obviously, the location, right amongst the harbour buildings, stepping straight out to that divine village view. All facilities excellent, esp the washing machine since I stayed 9 days (though as always, bring your own sharp knife). World’s smallest shower room actually works well! It’s on the ground floor where you spend most of your time. Once I got a potty organised for nights, it was clear sailing (I did NOT fancy those steps at night). Spacious very comfy double bedroom upstairs; the bunk room next to it was pretty small. Good heating. Doc Martin DVDs for great binge watching (note there’s no free-to-air). I’d recommend Golden Lion pub for a friendly fire, and Chapel Cafe for sensational cream teas. Only 45 mins to the Eden Project.
You need to be prepared for the parking situation, ie cars must be parked up a bloody steep hill once you’ve unloaded.

very close to lovely restaurants, pubs, beach and nice walks
not overly comfortable in the lounge and bed was too small and too soft for us
4.1
Clean comfortable recently updated fisherman's cottage. Loved the views and how cozy it felt at the start of the winter. Coffee shop next door sells the best coffee in the village. Plenty of towels. Bunk beds comfy too. Would come back.
Little toilet paper and being on the main street entrance to the heart of the village had to keep curtains drawn downstairs for privacy, although that was understandable given the location.

Loved how quaint the cottage was. In a perfect location to visit the Doc Martin locations. The tiny, downstairs shower room got a bit of getting used to, but the shower was hot and powerful. Could do with a hook or two in the shower room to hang your dressing gown. The bed was really comfy. :)
We had meals in the Old School, which was virtually opposite and also good value.
We were also greeted by a welcome bottle of wine, teabags, milk and coffee and biscuits. Very much appreciated. Thank you so much, and yes, we would highly recommend a stay here.
There was nothing to dislike.

clean comfortable great location
toilet little tight but okay otherwise

Unique location
Access to car parking long steep walk not suitable for elderly

Location was the reason I booked it
The welcome pack could have included breakfast items, particularly bread and eggs.
The bed was too small. Needs to be a least a king-size.
