Blue Ridge Heaven, located atop Devils Knob – the highest point at Wintergreen Resort. Enjoy the best views in central Virginia from one of three decks or many picture windows. Blue Ridge Heaven is located at 3,800ft elevation, offering mountain, valley, and long-range southern views from the highest location for any Wintergreen home on the rental market, yet just minutes from the ski slopes, hiking trails, Appalachian Trail, Blue Ridge Parkway, and breweries/wineries/cideries on Route 151.

Your 3,200sqft, 5-bedroom home has been extensively renovated, anchored by a totally updated kitchen, with new heating & air conditioning, appliances, furnishings, flooring, paint and lighting throughout. Enjoy cathedral ceilings throughout the upper level, including a large family room with a stone fireplace and new 65-inch Samsung smart TV, kitchen, and master bedroom. The lower level includes another master bedroom, 3 other bedrooms (including a bunk room), and a second family room with stone fireplace and 55-inch Samsung smart TV. Renovations were made to maximize energy efficiency, use of sustainable materials, and purchase of locally produced products where practical.

The new, well-stocked kitchen features quartz countertops, a large quartzite island with four bar stools, LG and Bosch appliances, and an adjacent dining area with a new custom dining table with seating for eight. There is a propane gas grill on the deck by the kitchen. The laundry room includes a new LG washer and dryer, iron, and ironing board.

Wintergreen Resort is a four-season destination located on 11,000 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Appalachian Trail. Washingtonian Magazine named Wintergreen Resort the top ski resort in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Within the Wintergreen property you will have access to over 30 miles of hiking trails, skiing, and other activities, including golf at the Stoney Creek valley course. During the summer, you will have access to two outdoor pools and Lake Monocan (except on Saturdays). Note that some activities are open only to Wintergreen Club members only, including the Devils Knob golf course, the Spa, and fitness center.

Blue Ridge Heaven makes a convenient home base for exploring central Virginia, including nearby Sherando Lake, Crabtree Falls, Monticello and the University of Virginia campus in Charlottesville, and of course the variety of breweries (www.brewridgetrail.com), wineries, cideries, and distilleries clustered along Route 151 in the Rockfish Valley. Our family had a wonderful stay at Blue Ridge Heaven. Communication with the hosts was seamless, and the home was ready ahead of schedule. The home itself and the view were breathtaking. Honestly, some of the listing photos didn’t do it justice. We loved cooking in the beautiful kitchen where we found everything we needed for family dinners. We enjoyed coffee and afternoon beverages every day on the deck and were mesmerized by the beautiful surroundings. This home was fantastic and we will definitely be back.

We enjoyed the views and quality time we spent in the cabin! Tucked away in wintergreen but a quick 20 min drive to breweries, distilleries and wineries. The cabin was clean and big enough for us to all gather and play games in the living room. The hosts were very welcoming and had a helpful guest binder with helpful tips and things to do around the mountain. We will definitely be back!

This is a terrific home, well appointed, well maintained, and very clean. The house has two separate living areas with comfortable furniture, wood burning fireplaces, and big screen TV's; a very well-equipped kitchen with lots of working space; very nice bedrooms with comfortable mattresses and pillows; 3 and a half bathrooms with new towels and wash cloths; and several large open decks with plenty of chairs and cushions. When we arrived, the house was clean and fresh, everything was exactly as described in the listing. We had the opportunity to email with the owners and they responded quickly to our questions. I highly recommend this home and we will definitely stay here again.

The house (Blue Ridge Heaven) was an amazing accommodation for our family which included my adult children, their spouses and my grandchildren. There was plenty room for all of us and the house was very comfortable, nice and the views of the mountains from the house (all levels) was amazing. The house was equipped with everything we needed. I highly recommend this house and hope it's available to us when we return next year.

Our family has been coming to Wintergreen for 5+ years now for an annual ski trip and we’ve finally found a house we all agreed has it all! The views, the room layout and additional living space downstairs, the upgraded kitchen, the details down to makeup towels in each bathroom. Communication with the hosts was great and they were very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions. So glad we found this place!

My wife and I have been visiting Wintegreen in the shoulder seasons for the last decade with family and friends and so have a pretty good feel for the resort and mountain and the neighborhoods at the top of Wintergreen. Devils Knob Loop is the most coveted street with the best views on the mountain in my opinion, and Lisa & Vestal's property may be in one of the best spots on Devils Knob Loop. We absolutely loved the sun soaked living areas, kitchen and decks during our stay. Vestal & Lisa were very responsive and helpful. The house had everything we could have possibly needed with 6 adult friends and their respective families of little kids ages 7 months to 7 years. There is even a little club house down the hill from the house (quite nicely built I should add) for the kids. We absolutely will be saving this home for future visits and we very much hope to be back!

We have been traveling to Wintergreen for 6 years now, sometimes multiple times a year. We got married up in the area last year and wanted to come back to celebrate our anniversary. Invited some family and friends to celebrate with us. What a perfect time of year to experience this beautiful home. They have thought of everything when it comes to guests comfort level. Beds are comfortable, kitchen has all the necessary amenities, the views from both levels are stunning! Even the interior views are amazing! Sitting on the deck with the fire pit and nice music, the trees rustling...it was just magical. We will be back. Thank you ☺️

Our family really enjoyed our weekend stay at this beautiful home in Wintergreen Resort. The amenities were endless. We found everything we needed in the home to make our stay seem like we were at HOME. The home itself is beautiful and the views of the mountains were breathtaking. Our third time here! Wonderful break from the heat as the high temperatures were in the 60's and 70's! Beautiful spacious house with terrific decks and views. The owners do a great job of maintaining the property and keeping everything looking new. We'll be back next August if not sooner.

The name of the property says it all. Our family, including two children who are three years old had a wonderful visit. We took advantage of all Wintergreen has to offer. We went to the Chestnut Springs pool, we enjoyed Lake Monacan, Stony Creek golf course, the Wintergreen Spa, Devils Backbone Brewery, hiking, Discovery Ridge, and so many other activities. You will never run out of things to do! Our hosts were fantastic and the property was outstanding!

The house was wonderful, very comfortable and well appointed, spotlessly clean inside and out. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen which made family dinners work well. The porches were fabulous with incredible views during the day and lovely stars at night. We had 8 adults and 3 infants in our party and it accommodated us extremely well. Nice and quiet inside and out. Would definitely rent again.

We stayed at this location for our youngest sisyers graduation from Liberty University. Although it was approx 1 hour away from LU, it was a great find for our entire family to stay at. This property has an amazing view, cozy atmosphere, CLEAN and everything you could need or want for a home away from home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and are already chatting about a return visit for another getaway. The owners have done an amazing job with making their guests feel welcome.

My family of 10 enjoyed a wonderful stay at this property from Friday, February 10th to Sunday, February 12th, 2023. We stayed in this home under the old ownership several times. The new owners did a fantastic job renovating the home and bringing it up to the current trends both interior and exterior. The wood burning fireplace created the perfect setting for our Après ski time + the outdoor propane firepit allowed us to expand the footprint of the home to the outdoors where we took in the mountain views. We would stay at this home again.

We enjoyed our stay @ the property. It had everything we needed in the kitchen. The fireplace was nice and easy to use. We appreciated finding the ice melting because on our last night the weather was freezing rain and we needed to get out to head home. I would recommend this property and will most definitely book again.

This house was phenomenal! The large and spacious floor plan was perfect for our family! The newly renovated kitchen was beautiful and well stocked with many extra amenities not found in other properties. The views were absolutely beautiful from sunrise to sunset! The owners added personal touches that welcomed us, and quickly responded to any questions or concerns. We have rented many properties throughout the years at Wintergreen, and each member of our family agrees that this is a favorite! We would definitely rent again and hope to be back next year!

The view from the house cannot be beat. Unfortunately we only saw it for 2 hours on arrival and on the day of departure. The other days we were shrouded in fog, like living in a cocoon! Terrible weather, but obviously not the house's fault! We loved all the decks and the children were looking forward to the tree house, The kitchen is wonderful - even having a wine cooler! The house could have been cleaner and my son found a stink bug on his pillow but if we hadn't been stuck inside the whole time, we might not have noticed! We would definitely recommend this house - it's gorgeous!

I am a negative person by nature, but I am unable to find anything negative about this house. It's beautiful, very clean, well stocked and very roomy with awesome decks and phenomenal views. We were there for my daughter's wedding and this house helped ease the disappointment of having to cancel the planned outdoor wedding ceremony at the Overlook due to Hurricane Ian. If we weren't staying at such a beautiful house that was able to provide us with great backdrops for pictures, I really think my daughter would have had a major meltdown! We will without a doubt stay at this property if we ever visit Wintergreen again!!!
