Thank you so much for being a great place for our 30th college reunion! The kitchen was a perfect place to gather, and the outside patio and grounds were so inviting and a great place to relax, play games, and laugh around the fire pit. Our group loved every minute at your beautiful property, and hoping to be back next year! Wonderful home and hosts for sure!

We booked this home for our whole family as the home base while we were in Mystic for our daughter's wedding. While we were pretty busy with the wedding, we did not get to spend as much time on the property as we would have liked. But when we were there, it met all our expectations. It was very clean and comfortable, with a kitchen well stocked with essentials. We absolutely loved the charm and history of the home. The backyard and sitting area was a great place for the kids to run around while the adults lounged in the nice sitting area. Most importantly, there were a couple minor glitches and the owners were VERY responsive and fixed the problems immediately. It's obvious they take pride in their home. We would definitely come back!

A wonderful historic home for our family reunion and visit to Mystic. The house is charming, comfortable and updated with lots of spaces for large groups. The outdoor space is just lovely and has seating for many. The location is unbeatable-just a few minutes walk into the bustling town center. The hospitality of our hosts was superb!!

This house was perfect for our large group of 13, including lifelong college friends, their spouses and children in their 20’s. The house is gorgeous and equipped with everything you could possibly need. We loved sitting out on the large beautiful patio surrounded by flowers and a fountain. The walkability to downtown was a huge bonus. We enjoyed shopping, brunch, dinners and happy hours at many establishments (Lynn provided some great tips). Some of our group also had fun using the kayaks and paddle boards. The group was unanimous, we all loved our stay here!

The Charles Mallory was an absolute delight. We kept repeating that it was the perfect location for our annual July 4 family get-together. We were walking distance to downtown Mystic and all the shops and restaurants - nothing was more than a 10 minute walk away. One of the days, we drove 5 minutes over to the aquarium and spent the rest of the day in Mystic village. We also visited Foxwoods, took a boat ride, and went to hibachi, all less than half hour drive. The house itself was great. Even though its almost 200 years old, the owners did a spectacular job renovating much of it to keep it appealing, while maintaining that historical feel. The pictures of the kitchen don't do it justice as it was huge, and we really enjoyed cooking on the Wolf range, as well as the high-end grill outside. The patio and backyard were perfect for kids to run around. And the sleeping arrangements worked out perfectly and all 14 of us were situated very nicely. Overall, I would highly recommend this house to any large group wanting to spend time in Mystic!

This beautiful, historic home served as a perfect location for our large group reunion of 3 families of 4 and 2 singles, ranging in age from 10-49. There was plenty of room to spread out and there were also plenty of spaces to gather as one large group. The backyard deck is particularly lovely. They made check-in and check-out easy with their home guide, which also provided a fascinating history of the house, and were very responsive when we had a concern that they resolved immediately. Very friendly couple. A lovely coffee house across the street had us going every morning, but they supplied plenty of coffee for our group and even a plate of homemade cookies and 2 bottles of wine greeted us on the counter upon our arrival! Would definitely recommend to anybody looking to stay with a large group of people.

We stayed with friends and family in the Mallory house to celebrate our daughter’s wedding in Mystic. The house was the perfect backdrop to a perfect weekend.
We were able to host guests on the delightful patio and cook an end of weekend feast in the lovely kitchen that has everything a cook could ask for.
We even did a few first look pictures by the fountain and on the swing with all the beautiful roses as a background.
As a rental house we had everything we could ask for: comfortable beds, multiple bathrooms and so many fluffy towels!
Mystic is a special town and the Mallory House will have a special place in our hearts for making our daughter’s wedding weekend even more spectacular!!

We chose this spectacular property for our wedding that only included seven members of our family for it's charm and access to downtown Mystic. Lynn and Skip could not have been nicer or more helpful in their hospitality and recommendations. The kitchen was both beautiful and functional, the dining area fit us perfectly, and the expansive patio was an amazing spot for our ceremony and relaxing by the firepit on the following night surrounded by flowers and a bubbling fountain. We hope to return for an anniversary gathering in the future.

My family had the pleasure of staying at this remarkable abode over Memorial Day Weekend. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warm hospitality of our hosts. Their thoughtful welcome note, complete with homemade cookies and a bottle of wine, set the tone for a truly memorable stay.
The sheer grandeur of the home captivated us upon entry, evoking a palpable sense of history and charm. The expansive exterior was equally inviting, boasting a meticulously maintained backyard adorned with ample seating, shaded areas, a fire pit, and a grill—an ideal setting for outdoor gatherings.
Stepping inside, we found ourselves immersed in comfort and convenience. The air conditioning provided welcome respite from the summer heat, while the plush beds ensured a restful night's sleep. The spacious kitchen and dining areas were well-appointed, perfect for accommodating both children and large families alike.
Beyond its historical allure, the location proved to be equally appealing. A brief stroll led us to the enchanting Mystic Seaport Museum and downtown area, while major grocery stores were just a short drive away.
In summary, our experience at this extraordinary home was nothing short of exceptional. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable getaway.

I have been planning a trip for my American Literature class to go to New England and see examples of the places we read about and to enjoy the rich literary past. Staying at the Mallory house made this trip perfect. The students were overwhelmed at the beauty and the history of the house. We had 11 people in our group, and the space was perfect. We had plenty of room to spread out comfortably, and the dining room was perfect for getting assignments and meeting to go over the plan for the next day. Our stay could not have been more perfect. I have already recommended the house to several people!

We had a reunion of seven couples that have been boating together for many years. The house was perfect for this event. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, the dining room accommodated us nicely and the living rooms were a great place to sit and talk. Everyone had their own bedroom and there were plenty of bathrooms for us. We all enjoyed our stay, not a complaint from anyone.

Wonderful stay with family and friends in Mystic for wedding celebrations. Our guests came from different parts of the country, arriving and departing at different times. Quick walk to town for shopping and munching. Our host were most pleasant and accommodating. Always making sure that we had what we needed and making sure we were comfortable. We had 12 sleepers for a few nights and room for everyone. The beds were very comfortable! I could go on and on about this special house. So historic and beautiful! You won’t regret a stay here in Mystic Charles Mallory house!

This was our second stay at the Charles Mallory House - we love this little town and the house is the perfect size for a large group, perfectly located right near town, and so tastefully restored with real charm. The house was spotless and the beds were SO comfortable. We were so happy to come back for a second year in a row. We had great weather and were able to fully utilize the patio and firepit. We love the Charles Mallory House and can't wait to come back for a 3rd time!

I cannot begin to express how happy we were with the rental of the Charles Mallory home. Your perfectly appointed rental was an exceptional location for our son's wedding weekend. Our family felt absolutely comfortable and right at home. The house had everything I needed to entertain my son's wedding party for a "Night Before" dinner and a brunch for the groomsmen the morning of the wedding.
The beautiful patio and fountain all added a picturesque background for all our festivities. I can't wait to see all the photos and I will be sure to share them.
The location only 1 block from downtown Mystic added to the appeal and charm of the home. When there was some downtime we walked downtown enjoying many of the shops, restaurants and bars Mystic has to offer. My grandchildren loved the park and the harbor both walking distance from the house.
Communication with the hosts was easy and they were quick to respond to our questions.
We loved this property so much we are considering renting again next year around the holidays so we can spend some time together as a family.
Many thanks to Lynn and Glen. We couldn't have asked more accommodating hosts and such an absolutely beautiful home to celebrate our wedding weekend.

We (3 generations of family) came back for a repeat visit to this amazing house. Beautiful space indoors and out, with comfy areas for eating, hanging out and playing games. The location is terrific--walkable to the drawbridge and seaport museum. And communication with the hosts is great--they provided restaurant suggestions and were easy to reach with questions.

Stayed in this beautiful home for 6 nights mid-July 2023 with friends and family. It was the perfect place to come together from California, Michigan and Connecticut and spend quality time together. The location can't be beat. The size and comfort of the home allowed for everyone to have their own space.
We loved our time playing games in the backyard, grilling and dining in the side yard and sitting on the front porch with a coffee or a cocktail watching the people go by.
The added bonus of watching the mama duck and her ducklings in the yard was the cherry on top.
Hoping we will be back soon.

Our daughter got married this weekend and I wanted a perfect spot for my family to stay. This historic and beautiful home did not disappoint. As my family told me, I got an A+ on choosing a beautiful home in a perfect location. We especially enjoyed the lovely outdoor space and well-equipped kitchen. The fresh flowers and delicious chocolate chip cookies were enjoyed by all. I 100% recommend this gorgeous property! Fabulous on every level! Hats off to our hosts!

I highly recommend this amazing property for your next vacation or even as a destination for your next family reunion.
My sister and I rented this beautiful home with our families to celebrate a wedding at nearby Saltwater Vineyards. There was plenty of space, indoors and outdoors, for the two sets of parents and grown children (11 in total). The kitchen was well-stocked with many amenities that made preparing meals a pleasure and we all fit comfortably around the dining room table with ample china, glasses and silverware for all. We catered dinner one night from a local Italian restaurant and the full trays of food fit comfortably in the ovens to stay warm.
The outdoor space feels like a park with a beautiful fountain, lots of tables with umbrellas and soft weating for large groups. The porch swing suspended from a huge tree in the side yard was a perfect place for a quiet chat. The location is truly ideal and allowed everyone to explore downtown Mystic on foot on their own schedule with no cars needed.
Thank you Lynn and Skip for providing a setting and experience that exceeded our expectations.

This a great, historic house in a central location with terrific and helpful hosts. Our family group of 14 people appreciated everything about — from the great space, beautiful patio and yard to the thoughtful touches by Lynn, the host. Highly recommend it for family groups or groups of friends.

The Charles Mallory House provided us the perfect in-town Mystic location to host our large family for the 142nd USCGA Commencement Exercises. We rented the home for 5 days to provide a comfortable central gathering place, and it delivered. Our guests were amazed at what the home offered for comfort, easy visiting, photo opportunities, a home cooked meal, and walking and dining options in Mystic.
The house’s amenities were extensive. Modern renovated bathrooms, and kitchen were appreciated and used extensively. The fully stocked kitchen had every utensil, tableware, serving platter, glassware, crockpot we could make use of during our stay. We used he patio and patio fire pit a few times. The extended the size of the house for gathering comfortably.
The long driveway was a plus because it easily accommodated 6 cars, and we didn’t need to search for street parking in busy Mystic. Another example of how easy it was to stay at CM House.
Finally, the owners were an absolute pleasure to work with throughout. We communicated regularly, leading up to our stay, helping us to be completely oriented about the property upon arrival. Consequently, we were motivated to be good stewards of this fine, beautiful historic home. They offered to fly a Coast Guard flag for us, while there. Much appreciated!
I can’t say enough good things about this house.
Thank you!

Our son got married in Mystic, and we had 11 family members stay at The Charles Mallory House. The history of this home was delightful, and we felt like we really were immersed in the New England shipping world during our long weekend. The groomsmen had their photographs taken at our house the morning of the wedding. The fountain, carriage house, front porch, and tree swing were just perfect backdrops. The large kitchen was ideal for meals, and the dining room table was useful for family reminiscing and chatter. The only odd thing about the house is the bedroom configuration and the bathrooms. You need to walk through another bedroom to get to a shower. That said, since we were all family, we enjoyed the quirkiness and simply planned ahead. The steep stairway at the back of the house, although not doable for anyone elderly or a toddler, we thought was kind of fun. There are a few stairs to enter the home which were a little bit of a challenge for our elderly in-laws, but with assistance, they were able to climb them. 100% clean and tidy...you won't regret renting this amazing house. And the yummy cookies and champagne were certainly appreciated as a greeting. Thanks for a memorable weekend! We can't wait to see the professional photographs.

This was the perfect rental for a group of 10 for a mini family reunion. The location could not have been better, walking distance to everything Mystic has to offer. The house was beautiful and well maintained. We loved all of the historic details provided about this amazing and charming 200 year old house. More than enough space for our group - the patio was a highlight for sure. Everything we needed was provided in the kitchen and bathrooms. And the owners were so attentive leading up to our stay with suggestions for restaurants and activities. We look forward to coming back to mystic and staying at the Charles Mallory house again.

Perfect location for a large group visiting Mystic. Property is as described and suited our 15 family members (teens to 60+) perfectly. Everyone commented on how great it was to be able to gather in such a wonderful place…not just a house, but an old home with lots of history. Plenty of public space but also has room to retreat for more quiet time. It’s quirky, a fun. homey kind of place that makes you say “what’s behind that door?”
Features we especially liked include location (walk to everything), the huge very well equipped modern kitchen, large dining room, comfortable bedrooms with good linens, plenty of nice towels (and a good hot water supply), lots of bathrooms, a basket of blankets to ward off a chill while enjoying the amazing patio. Owner communication was also a really big plus. I felt very comfortable renting this house from the time I reserved it.
Keep in mind that it is a very old house. If you are put off by uneven floors or creaks or an interior door that maybe doesn’t close all the way, this house may not be for you. Also, even though there is a bedroom on the ground floor, you need to be able to navigate stairs to access the house.
