The maiden tower is beautiful, right next to the castle. We stayed at the Catherine, which was a very large room with a great bathroom, huge bath tub. The heating was great and the view of the castle was perfect. The 3 course dinner was amazing, definitely worth booking.
The only issue was the weather was really bad and the maiden tower is abit of a walk to the restaurant, were as the stable rooms are right next to it.

Incredible historic building with a stunning interior, amazing features like the window bay seat & the table & chairs in the middle of the room, not to mention the beautiful bath too.
The only thing i didn’t like was the walk too & from the carpark.

The castle is stunning and the grounds fabulous

Proximity to the castle, room was spacious with an old world charm
Underwhelmed by the atmosphere of the Castle View Restaurant but the food was really good and staff really attentive. Attached café still using paper cups for hot drinks. Hated restaurant background music.

Unique, historic building with classic features, it felt very luxurious to stay in a beautiful place with a view of the castle!
Nothing!

My stay at the Maiden tower was amazing, could not fault it, didn't want to come home. Can't wait to return

The location. The relaxed atmosphere. The bedroom and bathroom with free standing shower. The history.

We were contacted about the potential to upgrade to the stateroom. The Walnut room was stunning and it really made for a special stay.

Beautiful place to stay
No separate bar to enjoy an evening drink, appreciate as a guest I could order & collect drinks from the restaurant but I didn’t want to sit in my room

Everything about our stay was fantastic, loved the quietness of the room & all the staff were very friendly.

Beautiful maintained castle and grounds
Lovely dinner but poor buffet selection at breakfast

We knocked a point off for not being able to order drink or food to our room.

Delicious breakfast with my all time favourite ‘eggs Benedict’.
Wonderful view from the restaurant of the castle sparkling in the early morning sunshine with the banks of daffodils all around. I took some great photos of it from the terrace.
Very friendly staff.
The coffee was too strong for me - or maybe it was skimmed milk that didn’t make it weaker. But this is really nit picking and a very minor point.

this was our one night away honeymoon as we have 3 kids. it was beautiful, although the weather was terrible (rainy and overcast) the property is just so beautiful.
I couldn’t take the shower gel home as complimentary lol it was lovely

All the staff were friendly Especially those around the grounds. Extra little touches in room. The special location.
You could hear the other guests talking very loudly in their room.

incredible experience to stay at the maiden’s towel which in right next to the castle inside the island. we basically have full access of the ground after hours and because there are only 5 rooms there, it is a very intimate setting. The rooms are great, clean and big. absolutely lovely our family stay!

Beautifully presented luxury room & en-suite in the Maiden’s Tower. Everything is extremely comfortable, cosy & warm with the very best linens, finest white towels, bathrobes & glorious selection of Noble Isle bath & body shampoo, conditioner, hand & body wash & body cream. All available in the shop!
not a thing!

Staying within Maiden’s Tower is wonderful, the grounds are beautiful.
The service in the restaurant could be a higher standard (to match the price point of the stay and the beautiful location).

The Castle is stunning
we stayed in The Maidens Tower within the castle walls in late Dec very cold and dark. The check was fine but we were told it was a short walk to the Tower along a dimly lit path, carrying our own luggage in rain and wind. In reality it is a long walk in bad lighting across a causeway to approach the Castle, you can imagine wind howling, driving rain, really cold no assistance with luggage no transportation offered. we arrived eventually in our accommodation soaking and annoyed

The Restaurant service was not as we expected …. Shame cause it’s the most amazing setting ! Stay was lovely in the Maidens Tower - which was an experience - but it rains and we had to get wet threw to walk all that way ! Golf buggy or umbrella wd have helped ! Drinks rushed , table to small - cold luke warm . Shame because the Chef was good - Service does not live up to him . hopefully this will help improve the team - tge place is stunning ! The lady in Reception is fantastic !!!!

Amazing view in the restaurant overlooking the castle was a bonus. There was a decent choice of food options and it was all good quality and beautifully presented.
Coupled with the history and uniqueness of the property we were bowled over. We were pleased to have access to the grounds during our stay
I did however wish that the plates in the restaurant had been heated as the food at both breakfast and dinner got cold quickly. It wasn't a problem for us but a member of staff did take home the only corkscrew which caused chaos in the restaurant. A bar area to sit in the evening with a bottle of wine might have been good

Magnificent setting, interesting multilayered history. Friendliness of staff
Lack of staff in the dining area lead to various issues. These included slow service, variations in quality of service on a day to day basis. Tables not being cleared until the meal was complete, thus juggling with space in which to eat as well as the unhappy situation of being surrounded by used plates and cutlery. The staff were courteous and did the best job possible, bearing in mind that the shortages ranged across the disciplines.

knowing we are walking in the foot steps of Tudor royalty is are thing
chefs and waitresses and waiters need more training as sitting waiting to be served for an hour not expectable to be given cold and under cooked food shame one department lets the side down!!

Great room within the moat
Everything was great
