Perfect for our group of friends

I really enjoyed our stay here at this rental. We got to relax and appreciate scenery out in Tahoe. This is something we look forward to every year. I would recommend this play, it was very comfortable for my dogs to get around. Unfortunately, it was very cold during our stay and some of the space heaters didn’t work. The only place where heat was felt was downstairs in the hallway. The location was very convenient and is on a busy road on the way to the market in town. TVs were in every room and the internet was working during our stay. The beds were okay but the one upstairs was very firm. I’d come back for the space and accommodation for my dogs. There wasn’t much snow this year, so maybe it would be a lot more different! Anyways, I’d recommend this place if you bring your own space heater and make sure to have socks or slippers on cuz the floor is super cold!

The cabin feeling was great however there are a lot of items that are in serious need for improvement

This place was so dark. Each room had one light and was very gloomy as the lights were not bright. The rooms lacked outlets so it was hard to charge our phones/electronic devices. Everything creaked and was very outdated. Some of the bathrooms had no locks and the doors did not fit the frame so you could see through the crack. The front door did not lock from the inside so it was dangerous for our 2 year old who wanted to open the door since there was no way to lock it from the inside. It only was locked from the outside (PIN number).
When we got there, the entire front yard was trashed and there was garbage everywhere. So gross. We took pictures. I can’t believe they would rent out the place looking so trashy.
The Wi-Fi also did not work so we spent 2 hours trying to reach customer service but the calls kept failing due to lack of Wi-Fi. It was so frustrating!
We received an email to extend check out (which was 10 am btw) and the link kept on saying error. I tried calling that same day and was on hold for over an hour. I quit trying after that and tried again the next day only to sit on hold another 30 min and finally reach someone who said they couldn’t assist and if the option was available I would get a link. I explained that I did get a link but it keeps saying error. Trying to contact them was a total nightmare. It is a company called Vacasa and they clearly do NOT care as much as a privately owned rental. I would NOT ever recommend using a rental by them.

We stayed at this home with 3 families. The house is bigger than you think but also still cozy. We have a great time. We wished the kitchen was better stocked for cooking and the restrooms had locks otherwise no complaints.

This home is great. Albeit a little strangely laid out, and very close to a main road, there's lots of space, charm, a nice fenced in yard and the hot tub is lovely.
Giving it four stars as there was a loose facet in the upstairs bathroom which rendered the shower unusable, the kitchen was sparsely stocked, and we had an issue with the fireplace. The home, though, was clean, warm, spacious and very "Tahoey". We hope to be back. Thank you!

Unacceptable issues and injuries sustained
I am requesting a full refund for my recent stay. From the moment we arrived, our trip was riddled with issues. The house was dark, and freezing. There were no instructions anywhere for operation of heaters or thermostats. There was also no firewood to attempt to heat the home. We located space heaters throughout the house that we turned on, and immediately went to the store to purchase firewood so our children were somewhat comfortable. The poor design of the chimney and flue just resulted in smoke filtering through the house which took over a day to dissipate. Within 2 hours of arriving, an upstairs toilet was flushed and water poured over the bowl, ran into the next room, and dumped through the floor to the dining room in the lower level. We used the few towels in the home to sop up the toilet water. We then proceeded to wash the towels to find there was no laundry detergent. So that resulted in a second trip to the store which would later prove to be pointless because after 3 hours of running the dryer, the towels still did not dry. We also called to ask for help and none was provided. It was not until 3pm the following day were we provided with a plumber and fresh towels so we coukdnt shower that morning. We opted to leave the house as much as possible to spare everyone the embarrassment of the home we decided to rent for our family holiday. After a solid day and a half, the heat finally started to pick up. We could not get the wall heater in the upstairs bedroom to work, but in opening it, found a dead rat. I’m certain this is not sanitary, and potentially toxic. To top all of this off, without any warnings in an apparent child-friendly home, my son burned his foot on the hallway floor vent - a severe burn that sent him screaming and left him with undeniable burn scars. This house needs significant improvements to be rentable. I am not seeking medical damages and not pursuing any type of legal action at this time, but am requesting a full refund. I have photos of some of the issues we encountered including my sons foot, the dead rat, and the toilet water on the dining room floor and bathroom. I look forward to your prompt response.

Nice house
Very nice house, loved it especially the canopy on the tree, huge as well. Only one minor thing, bathrooms don’t have locks in them. Other than that beautiful place to stay will come again!

Memorial Day
We had a great time and everything was perfect! Great location where you can walk or drive to several different activities. Having the fire at night when it got cooler was a definite plus. Only thing missing was the lock code for the hot tub in the check-in materials.

Beautiful Cozy cabin with plenty of room. The Cabin is right-on Highway 89, on west side of Lake Tahoe.
Some minor repairs like replacing the smoke alarm batteries, leaky faucet in bathroom sink, oven did not get to full set temperature , and no instructions or guide to help tennants operating the facilities amenities like WIFI took us several hours to find the router .
Nice fenced private yard, outside bench, large washer and dryer, three car parking, made it easy to use. We were able to comfortably bring our mother’s dog along for her 90th birthday celebration.

Great stay with family
Great cabin & we enjoyed our stay. I gave 4 stars due to cobwebs throughout the house. I had to use a broom to clear hanging cobwebs from the ceiling in the master bedroom over the bed. Also we booked for the private hot tub but were told a couple days before that we can’t use it. After calling VACASA they refunded us the hot tub fee plus $50 per night. Other than that we enjoyed the location & the home for our 2 night stay.

Wonderful Stay
We had an amazing time in this house. The size was perfect for the 6 of us, and there was plenty of bathrooms. It was perfectly clean and nicely set up for us when we arrived. The house was also stocked with almost everything you would need except food. My only complaints are that the boat took up almost half of the parking space so we had trouble fitting cars and the house is right on the highway so the sound was fairly constant. I would have liked for this to be disclosed on the listing but otherwise, everything was wonderful.

No Communication or Information
This is nice cabin, although a bit dark with all the knotty pine. Nice location too with a big yard for sitting out. The problem is with the management company. We were charged for a hot tub, yet it had a lock on it without a code. We couldn't get TVs to work, no instructions on cable info. It's been nearly three weeks and I still have not heard back from Vacasa or VRBO despite numerous emails and calls asking for assistance. This is the last time I will use VRBO or Vacasa since their customer service is so poor. Because they've chosen to ignore my requests, I'll have to deal with VISA to get a refund for things I was charged for yet couldn't use. Shame on you, Vacasa and VRBO.

Not a delight
I rented this house because it had a hot tub. When we checked in Friday night we were unable to use the hot tub because it was locked. After we were able to call in and get a code, the hottub would never warm up. We had to put our Saturday on hold to wait for maintenance to arrive, and lost the afternoon waiting for him to fix the hot tub, which he was unable to do. So, we are stuck in an old, dark and dingy house without a hot tub, and the credit I was offered for this BUST of a rental was $30. Don't think you will be able to sleep either. The constant sound of traffic coupled with the loudest creaking floors you could ever imagine kept our entire group up all weekend. There was also a wall mounted TV, in the upstairs bedroom being held up by the door. When I went to close the door, an antenna swung down from the top, and the TV fell toward my head. There was a crusty stained towel on the nightstand to greet us as well. Worse experience ever!!
