Friendly and helpful service. The room was comfortable, the breakfast very good - the cleanliness of the pub bar could improve for a higher rating.
Could do with a bit of maintenance and paintwork touch-up

Breakfast was excellent. Large full English breakfast.

Good location, convenient for the A1.
Friendly staff, good food available in the evening. Nice full english breakfast.
Close to the road, although there was little noise.

The property was a lovely quaint pub with attention to detail. The staff were lovely and very helpful, enjoyed a meal in the pub with some lovely ales.

We really like this place and stay there every time we visit the BMFA model flying centre.
Hate booking.com for asking for a rating every time we stay thrre. ;-)

Reasonable sized room in a pretty village setting
There was no gluten indications on the menu or any other allergies. I asked for a gluten free menu but was told they didn’t have one. This meant the waitress had to interrogate the chef on ingredients and what was available to me. The meal I choose was fine and portions more than generous. The bedside lamps were not working and the window was jammed shut . Last breakfast at 8 .20 which is a bit early when you are on holiday.

The warm and friendly welcome. The bar area is cosy, whilst our room was comfortable and perfect for 1 night. We very much enjoyed dinner, which was excellent, as indeed was the cooked breakfast. Food is recommended. We had been looking for overnight accommodation close to the A1 and the Tollemache Arms was perfect, and made a change from the more generic hotel chains. The pub is about 3 miles from the main road and located in a small village. There was ample parking in the pub car park. We look forward to staying again.
No negatives. Just be aware that The Tollemache Arms, being an old building, the bedroom window was single glazed (as you might expect) and as it faced the road, some traffic noise from occasional passing vehicles could be heard, but it was not a problem.

The restaurant and food including breakfast was fabulous.
The shower facilities was not good, very tight and the top shower dripped heavily so got my hair wet when I didn’t want to.

Well situated for local attractions. and walks.Staff very friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent and portion size very large(if you don't want your waist band to extend its not the place to stay)
A little noisy bring on the main road through Buckminster BUT we do live in a sleepy village so not used to this

The friendly welcome by the owner and his wife. The breakfast and one evening meal were excellent - with vegetarian options. Parking was spacious. Proximity to Rutland Water was the attraction, as we were attending Buirdfair. The country road to Oakham was scenic.

Lovely, double aspect room cool a d comfortable on a hot day. Quiet night. Good sleep. Good food. Friendly staff.
No hot water for a shower. Was still being fixed when we left next morning.

The location of the hotel was great.
The restaurant and bar setting amazing.
Food was lovely and made fresh to order. You might want to order some mushrooms. Cudos to the chef.
Landlady was so lovely.
Shout out to Adrian for making a bacon sandwich for my partner early morning before breakfast as was leaving before breakfast opened.
Tea and coffee facilities in the room.
The windows are single glazed and being on a busy road, not the best for a quiet get away.
Bathroom was overflowing due to a dirty and clogged up drain. Mentioned it to the landlady who said she would get it sorted on the day.
We had ordered for a King room but got a room with 2 unequal singles joined together. Would have made some noise and asked for a change but was too tired and just wanted to rest.
Room had just one socket plug next to the bed which was quite hard to plug in as we had to push the headboard out of the way. The other socket was near the shower room.

Rooms are pleasant, good location and bar area nice.
Stairs leading to rooms are dirty and smelly, door to kitchens dirty. No breakfast before 9pm on weekends but they will make up a packed lunch. I had no hot water during my stay, which was really disappointing. Service in bar a mixed bag, initial order good, but gave up on dessert as no staff to take order.

The management and staff were brilliant couldn't do enough for you.
I requested a take out breakfast this was not an issue at all
The food and service was very good
Rooms adequate.
Irons in rooms would be useful

Breakfast was good but reliance on mobile phone for old people to check in could be better and they could let me know that they had received my emails etc
It is it attractive from the road and they could have responded to let me know my dinner reservation was accepted . It would have been nice to be able to open the window as it was so hot but I guess it would have then had traffic noise ?!

lovely clean accommodation and very hospitable staff. great bar area and excellent food, will stay again, recommended!

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good food and drink.
We were charged £90 at the pub, rather than the £80 quoted by Bookings.com
I did send a message to both Bookings and the pub, through Bookings, but did not receive a reply, which was surprising and disappointing.
