the room and location were good, helpful staff

wasn’t the best place at all.

The location was good.

The rooms were dirty, floors were sticky and brown. staff laughed at me when i told them we were locked out as the door wouldn’t open, took 3 other guests in the hotel to open the door.

Extremely mediocre

Location.

Couldn’t park at the door of a ground floor unit due to staff parking there. Overflowing outside bins. Dirty carpark with cigarette butts mixed with leaves. Side gate to street left open. Unmaintained hedges. Sticky taped blinds. Screws missing from wooden hanging rack. Kitchen handles screwed in crooked. Sign in kitchen of threats of a $100 fine if you don’t take your own rubbish out of the bins. Filthy smoking rusty tin overflowing in the carpark.

Not as advertised

The view of the lake out the back, shower was nice&hot, kitchen was lovely but vent needed attention.

The photo's on booking.com are VERY misleading, loungeroom in the unit we ended up with was so small, not at all what I thought I was getting. Bathroom was ridiculously small and needs updating as the metal pieces are rusting and the toilet was leaking, rubbish bin lid was broken&Air-conditioning also needs cleaning and rattled all night. I think if the management were smiling and friendly and gave the place a good clean up the price would be ok, but as it is right now it is definitely not worth the high price they are charging.

Very disappointing!

The bed was comfortable

The email said we look forward to welcoming you as our guest. There was no one at reception. I waited in the wind for awhile then I rang. I was told my room number and that the key is in the door end of. so much for a welcome in fact the reception was vacant and locked from 2 o’clock onwards and probably before. There was a noisy sewer pipe outside my door sticking out of the ceiling of the car park. The air-conditioner was so clogged with the dust. The air was only coming out slowly from the end of the vent. The bathroom ceiling was quite mouldy. I have stayed in many motels and have never seen a notice in the room that says if I don’t empty the rubbish bin before I go, I will get fined an extra $100. This is absurd. Empty the bin is part of cleaning. Am I to assume that they don’t actually do cleaning? I should’ve read all the bad reviews online before booking this dump all the furniture and fittings are outdated and worn. The TV did not work at all.

Disgusting and waste of money

The lady at reception was nice, I felt sorry for her working there.

1. Very small. 2. Noisy due to traffic. 3. Kettle cord was melted to wires. 4. Blind to small on door, glass panel anyone could straight into room and bathroom. We had to hang something on door. On bottom floor also which had sight of carpark. 5. 3 pillows for 2 people that were old and very thin, blankets very thin. 6. Bulk head hangs very low that you hit your shoulder room size didn’t help. 7. BUGS in the bed. Offered another room but was told that the big problem had been an issue due to rain so that was a big NO. 8. We were there maybe 30 mins and decided to leave. No refund was offered. Took up with manager and booking.com. No apologies, no refund, nothing. Had to find another motel at 5 in the afternoon and pay again. Very disappointed!

Great Hotel with lovely surroundings

The check-in was super efficient and rooms were ready for us inspite of booking this accomodation at the last min. The rooms in the picture matched with the real place. The apartments were clean, bed were really comfy, enough linen and toiletries. Kitchen, Fridge, TV, central aircon everything worked and had basic amenities as needed for a short stay. The place has a small swimming pool and jacuzzi, which worked fine and the kids loved it. The lawns opened straight into the lake where the sunset was amazing to watch. Inspite of the small-ish building, there were sufficient car parking spot for all hotel rooms. The Manager was very accommodative of our requests and allowed us an extra check-out hour as we had small kids with us. Very happy and definitely a great place to stay overnight at Toukley.

Given that the rooms are super big to maximise comfort, the bathroom of the ensuite was very small and was difficult for ease of use, though the second toilet was pretty spacious.

Wont be staying again

Location was good, Close to supermarkets etc

Not very friendly, No engagement from reception - Keys were just handed over & room number provided. Couple staying in the next room had a massive domestic, Male guest in the same room next door decided to have a chat on his mobile with the other party on speaker in the early hours of the morning & I am sure he woke everyone else up not just us........Reception was closed during all of this ruccus

The receptionist's big lay was not helpful at all. I'm not sure maybe I was black screen.

Thankfully we only stayed the one night, felt very uncomfortable and unclean. Facilities dirty, even ran out of towels.

Definitely recommend a room on a higher floor as rooms near the carpark are very noisy.

The staff was great. Location was great.

The noise at night time was very excessive. Groups of people were outside our room until after midnight, nothing was said to them. Also the windows were disgusting, you could hardly see out of them.

The location is good. Nice lake view. The staffs are nice and friendly. 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom option worked well for large families.

The apartment is old, but nice, however the furniture, window blinds and fly screen doors are very old, in poor condition and needing replacement.

Not a resort!

Amazing Location that Really Feels like a Resort!

This place was amazing, right-on the waterfront with amazing views. Baz greeted us & showed us to our room. He was great to deal with, and ensured we were happy. The Saturday we arrived was a very hot day, so we enjoyed having the aircon in our room and we spent the day lazing by the pool.

There was nothing to dislike, we really enjoyed everything.

Great lake view, comfortable stay.

My friends and I really enjoyed the view from the garden, it was stunning and perfect to catch the sunset! The beds and pillows were very comfortable, aircon in the room was excellent, and we also had a nice view from the bedroom window. The kitchen, bathroom, and all areas were clean. We didn't cook but the kitchen looked like it had enough utensils to make a small/light meal. Overall, it was a decent stay.

There was a sign in the kitchen asking to "ensure" we take the rubbish out to the parking lot. We found it really strange that a hotel would ask for that, but we did anyway as we didn't want to be fined $100 for not doing it. Yikes! The size of the pool was a bit dissapointing. Long, but very narrow.

Studio is very cute, and perfect how set up. Backyard is our favourite - to view in morning and afternoon. Plus pool and sauna was bonus

The accommodation served us well for a one night stopover.

Had a large bed and was clean. Also the location suited us.

TV was on a low table that meant it was partially below the bed level, and therefore difficult to see when in bed. It could easily have been wall mounted. The bathroom was tiny, although there was plenty of room in the rest of the unit.

probably would not stay there again. On a positive it was a short walk to the RSL so that was nice

Staff were lovely we booked on the photos of lake views did not get this. Room was neat and clean outside had a bit going on.

When we arrived there was a lot of furniture outside looked like middle of renovations. Could smell smoke. disappointed that we didn't get room facing the lake. We did ask there was nobody in there but they said no as it was a much bigger room. He was nice about it and did suggest we had the best of the smaller rooms.

A surprising mix of disappoint ment and satisfaction.

The view was lovely from the garden, and everything was clean. Staff were friendly and respectful. The upper floors looked like they would have no complaints. The Breakfast Room, although we didn't use it, looked nice, and the chairs set out to enjoy the view was good.

This property has some excellent points, but also some bad points which makes an over all rating hard. The lower level room we were in needed some repairs eg broken bathroom cabinet door and rusty hinges/shower caddy, which looks unsightly next to the updated decor. The rooms big windows face the carpark/reception area which provides no privacy, and with the blinds closed it feels a little like a prison cell. The small window could be bigger to let in sunlight or sheer curtains would also work for privacy on the big windows. The architecture of the lower levels leaves a lot to be desired but that is very hard to change. The level is like a concrete wind tunnel, with every sound echoing. Some sound absorbing items would be very useful. Perhaps carpet throughout would help.

Exceptional

One of the best hotels we have stayed ever, warm welcome, friendly and very helpful manager. We have never seen rooms so clean everything was just perfect. Pool ,Spa and sauna was so relaxing, the free continental breakfast was lovely simple and located at a beautiful spot facing the lake. We will recommend this Resort to our friends and family and will be coming back soon.

The only negative was the toilets they are super clean but a bit small compare to the room.
