Main Level:
As you enter the estate, you walk into a large family living room with a wood-burning fireplace and panoramic mountain views. To your right, is an oversized Chef's kitchen stocked with cookery and cutlery for preparing meals for your group, connected to a large dining room (seating for 14 at the main table, with an optional second table on the southwest corner of the house), with views in all directions.
Also located on the western side of the main floor is a king suite, with a full bath new mattress and bedding, and a private patio door leading out to the upper-level deck. The eastern wing of the main floor has a second king suite, with a large en suite bath, private patio door, flat-screen TV, and an adjoining nursery complete with crib and changing table.
The northeast corner of the main level has the floor's 3rd bedroom, usually the choice of our younger guests. The room has two sets of lodge style, playhouse bunk beds, providing two twin beds and two full beds, as well as a secret passageway (hidden behind a bookcase) leading to a hidden playroom.
Mid-Level:
Continuing downstairs from the living room to the mezzanine level, you'll find 3 of Skyridge Villa's bedrooms as well as two additional baths. This floor also boasts a large arcade/game room area, with panoramic windows overlooking the mountains. The space is equipped with pub table seating, as well as an array of games. Choose from one of our 5 upright arcade machines, the sitting cocktail arcade (with over 1000 classic games), skeeball, foosball, dual pop-a-shot basketball.
The room in the southeast corner of the house has a queen bed, private patio doors, and sweeping mountain views. The room in the northeast corner has a king bed and flat-screen TV. Both rooms share an en suite bath, and an expansive row of closets.
At the center of the second level, just off the game room, is the atheneum suite, an oversized vintage bedroom. The room boasts a private library of classic literature, a wood-burning stove, and an en suite bath. The room is outfitted with a king bed, as well as a loveseat, to relax by the fire and enjoy a book. Also located on the mezzanine level is Skyridge Villa's private cinema, seating 20 in oversized theatre seating on 4 levels, with an 87" inch 4K TV.

To the west of the lower level, you'll find Skyridge Villa's private spa. Relax in our built-in steam room or sauna, then cool off in the oversized rainfall shower. You'll find plush spa robes and spa towels. We also supply two in-house massage tables... Schedule an appointment with one of our highly recommended area masseuses, and relax without leaving the house!
Outdoor Areas:
As spacious and entertaining as the 5000 square foot interior is, the pinnacle of the Skyridge experience is the expansive outdoor living. The two-level deck has outdoor dining for 16, a gas-burning fire table overlooking the mountains, and an abundance of seating in either the outdoor living area or the rocking chairs. You'll also find both a propane and charcoal grill, as well as a pizza oven, to use during your visit.
Skyridge Villa has an oversized, jacuzzi hot tub that can seat up to 7 and has long-range mountain views from the back deck.
Near the main entrance is our carport converted into an outdoor game room. Completely covered, and partially enclosed, you can still enjoy the mountain air. You'll find the area equipped with a pool table, darts, and ping pong.

The road leading to the house is windy and climbs up the mountain (think: best view!). Part of the road is gravel and there are many rough spots. An AWD/4WD is definitely not necessary unless there is snow on the ground. Please take your time, go slowly and exercise caution.
Snow:
For winter bookings, please be aware that there is a potential of being snowed-in as if there is significant snow on the road, it could become impassable. We do our absolute best to anticipate this and will communicate any potential changes needed for arrival and departure based on the weather. Please understand that this is out of our control and might require some flexibility in your travel arrangements. There were some little things that should be kept up with a little better but this place served our purpose and we enjoyed our stay.

Our extended family of nine stayed for a lovely week in this lovely home in Swannanoa. The bedrooms were spacious and well appointed. The kitchen is a cooks delight - we all take turns cooking for each other and the kitchen was huge with everything we needed to cook for our large family gathering.
We were visited by a family of large black bears, a very curious racoon (who appeared on the back porch and really wanted to come inside!), and some deer. We took lots of photos of the wildlife!
The sauna, steam room and massage tables were used. We highly recommend Beth Huntzinger for coming up to the house for therapeutic massage therapy!
The carport was great to play ping pong and darts in the evenings!!
The road up to the house was a little daunting at first - we did not want to meet up with any cars on the road as it is very narrow climbing up the mountain. Fortunately there are very few houses up there!
Julia is an amazing host and answered all of our questions very quickly. Its a great house for a large group with a wide variety of activities to do while you are there.

Absolutely stunning views!! The house was perfect for our party of 11 who were celebrating a 50th bday. The game room, comfy living spaces and hot tub was just what we needed for an enjoyable weekend. Spacious kitchen made meals easy to prep/serve. And loved having enough seats to all enjoy meals together at one table. Would definitely stay again!!

We had a great time - plenty of space for everyone and great response from host with any questions. The view is breathtaking. We were fascinated by the frog pond and number of frogs :)
Hot tub and game room were great and easy access to some hiking nearby. Overall - great trip!

The home was wonderful. Well stocked, fresh linens, super fun amenities and tons of room! Only change we’d make is upgrading the 1 bath tub in the house for bathing children.

Me and 11 other guys stayed here for a bachelor party and it was PERFECT! Literally the best rental home I've ever stayed at.
This place has everything. A beautiful view of the mountains, some of the best amenities (theater, sauna, arcade games, firepit, etc), comfortable beds, and enough space for everyone.
On top of that, the management team was incredible. They were quick to respond to texts, helpful when I had issues, and provided a digital guidebook that was thorough, easy to read, and very useful. And as a little cherry on top, they provided stuff for s'mores and popcorn/candy in the theater.
It is a bit off the beaten path, but it's honestly worth it.
If I'm ever looking for a place in Asheville again, I'm definitely checking to see if this property is available first.

What a great location to spend the Thanksgiving Holidays with family. The views are spectacular and the house has so much for everyone to do. I highly recommend!

This property was amazing. You are truly isolated on the mountain so it's very peaceful, quiet and private. The views are incredible and the house has everything you could want. Would strongly recommend staying here with a large group! Julia is an excellent host.

The house had ample space to accommodate a lot of people comfortably. The views were breathtaking! The leasing agent was awesome to work with! She always responded promptly and was patient with my many questions. All communication was timely and helpful!

The property was as advertised, great location for an extended family vacation.
The only downside was the condition of the road leading to the property. If you want to vacation on a mountain top (views were beautiful), one would expect a bit of a climb. Portions of the road were smooth, but significant stretches were badly potholed which made going very slow.

Had a business meeting with a group of 6. Very comfortable and great setting, overlooking the mountain.

The house was perfect for my family reunion of 10 ranging in ages from 10 to 78. It had plenty of space to comfortably accommodate all of us. The game, movie, and secret rooms were a huge hit with the kids. The view, hot tub, and sauna were great for the adults. I would definitely recommend.
The only drawback is the road towards the house. It is a private one lane mostly gravel road. We were able to traverse it with 2 minivans, but a SUV or 4 wheel drive vehicle would be more appropriate.

50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration
This property was exactly what we needed as a family of 14. Plenty of spaces to be together and apart! The arcade, ping-pong, hot tub and theater were used by children and adults. The “secret room” was a favorite of the 10 and unders. We had all our meals at the house. The spacious and generously furnished kitchen made meal preparation a team event. The local male bear even visited the driveway for us many of us to meet. He was quite alouf, and didn’t frighten anyone. But we made sure to remove all trash and snacks from the carport! Beautiful sunrises, rainbows, and clouds made it all the more magical!

Mountain resort home
This large home o the top of a mountain has everything , large bedroom suites, large kitchen large living space, game room , movie theater, spa area and more. The only minor issue is the drive up the mountain on a narrow winding road. But when you get there, the views are amazing.

Absolutely wonderful!
We went with a family of 15 ranging from 9-69. No one wanted to leave and all want to go back! I've rented several vacation homes in the past, but none have been as well furnished as Skyridge Villa. We cooked almost every night of our stay and never needed anything that wasn't already there. The beds and linens were of top quality as were the soft bathrobes available for our use. The cinema room was a huge hit with the kids and adults alike. The boutique soaps, shampoos and body wash added to the many special touches this property has to offer. We couldn't have been any more pleased!

We had a wonderful 4 days and would visit the Asheville area again.

A Week to Make Memories
We have been traveling to the mountains on the week of Thanksgiving for 15 years. We typically rent a house large enough to meet the need of our kids and grandkids. We had a great experience at Skyridge Villa. The views from the deck were grand and the house was appointed nicely. Best set of glassware and dishes that we have experienced. Made Thanksgiving dinner better than we expected.
The road to the house was a bit bumpy, but since we were that last home at the end of the road there was no other traffic, that was just fine.
Julia was our house host and she was fantastic. We had a few questions and she answered our texts without delay. She was helpful, thoughtful and more than responsive.
Thank you Julia, you made our visit better because of you.

Wonderful property but had some maintenance issues.
Incredible house for our large group of 8 adults with a great view of the fall foliage which we caught at peak. Cannot give it an overall 5 due to maintenance issues. After braving the potholes and winding road to reach the house we experienced the internet, TV, and ice maker not working. Julia the house manager was responsive by phone to help resolve most of the problems. I do think that the working order of the major home amenities should be checked prior to the arrival of all new guests.

Family Wedding retreat
The property was beautiful as advertised and we very much enjoyed staying there and the views are spectacular! Major concern is very unsafe road to residence for final 1.1 miles where there only 3 realistic spots where two vehicles can pass. this only would prevent us from renting again in future.

Gorgeous place, with some fixable issues
First, let me convey how STUNNING this house it, and in such a breathtaking setting. Photos truly can not capture the beauty of the view. The house is just lovely, and photos don't do it justice.
Other positives include management that allowed us to check in a bit early, and accommodated my (very small dog) request. There was an issue with the A.C., and this problem was addressed and fixed immediately. All advanced questions were handled swiftly and with care.
I would like to leave a 100% review but this house does have issues, which should be addressed. The grill is so dirty that it caused a small (contained) fire when we lit it. One of the couch sectionals is broken. Two of the mattresses are extremely uncomfortable and should be replaced. The film projector does not allow any playing of DVDs. Numerous exterior lights were burned out, and there were other small issues as well.
The property is rightfully billed as a luxury property, but should also be maintained as a luxury property, and all the above issues can be easily fixed, in particular the grill, which is a true safety concern.
I am hopeful that the next guests will find a spruced up property. It is a LOVELY lovely lovely home, and we enjoyed our stay.

We absolutely loved the property. Perfect for entertaining guests - we got a lot of use out of the arcade room, movie theater and spa. Also a great spot for local hikes and excursions, and a quick trip into Asheville.

Great balconies and kitchen
Good house with big potential, new owners need to give it a good dose of TLC. Kitchen, game room, balconies and theater are all outstanding. It is remote and you don’t drive down the mountain multiple times a day, if your touring, Asheville events a are 30+ minutes away.

Amazing views and lots of space
We had 15 of us staying in this large home. The views of the mountains are awesome. It is up a shell Mountain Road and takes 10 minutes to get up or down, but the view at the top is worth it. There are seven bedrooms so everyone could spread out. The kitchen is large enough to cook big meals. The tables inside and outside were large enough for us to eat together. The property manager was always quick to respond when we had a question. The two suggestions that I would like to make to the homeowners are to put more bathtubs in the home. There is currently only one bathtub. The rest of the bathrooms only have showers. Some of the bathrooms are large enough that a bathtub could be added and the hidden room in the bunk area could be changed into a full bathroom. The other suggestion I would make is to cover the balcony above the hot tub with some kind of protection so that when it rains, it would not drip into the hot tub. We had a lot of rain the first few days and the dripping into the hot tub was a ldistracting while we were in it. Overall the house is awesome and I would stay here again!

Mountain top fun house!
Loved loved the house and all of it’s amenities. We had a group that consisted of grandparents all the way down to the youngest grandchild at 4 years old. There was so much to entertain everyone and the views were spectacular. Megan our host was so easy to work with and answered all of our questions prior to arrival. There was a bad thunderstorm while we were there and the Internet/ tv stopped working. Megan had given us the number of the local support person and he was totally very responsive and we were back up in no time! Great house- hope we can return next year if it is available!

My family and I spent the week of July 4th together at the Top of The Hill! We started our days with beautiful sunrises and ended with beautiful sunsets! We have 6 kids and 6 grandkids. Each family unit had room to be together and to get away. The children loved the kid’s room and the secret room! The big kids and the little kids alike loved the game room and the theater room! The girls and I had a spa day at the house with Massage on Wheels! We enjoyed the hot tub, steam room and sauna. The kitchen was well appointed and easy to feed a large army like ours! Spent a lot of time just enjoying the views! And we saw a bear on the hill. (Thankfully, we were in the vehicle)The location was convenient for drives / hiking in the mountains and white water rafting. We enjoyed time in Asheville at the arts district, downtown and the Biltmore. There was something for everyone including our foodies. The week ended with grilling and watching the fireworks on the deck! It was a great vacation, very relaxing! Memories that will last a life time. I’m not sure this review conveys just how good this vacation was!! If I win the lottery, I’d buy the house and move in for the rest of my life and be happy. The only concern is the road going up to the house is a little rough and could use some work. But put it in 4 wheel drive and enjoy your time at the top of the world!!!

Great view, great space.
Mainly the property manager is so responsive and helpful! We loved having so much space to spread out in, and I think all of the features got used (massage tables, steam room, hot tub, movie theater, playroom, etc). You can definitely stay here without feeling crammed as there is lots of space to spread out. They also have event tables stored on site (and other amenities if you ask for things that might not be mentioned in the listing). We used their event tables, chairs, and table clothes to host a gorgeous reception dinner on the upper deck. (We provided decor- but it was so nice not to have to rent anything).

Always Something to Do
It's fun to stay in a house with its own movie theater, arcade, hot tub, fire pit and spa floor. You could live there for a month and never run out of things to do. The kitchen is great and the views are breathtaking. Have fun! Keep in mind that if you want mountaintop views, you've got to drive up a mountain!

Incredible
The house is actually even better than pictured here, and the views are even better. If you are able to catch a view of the sunrise on the balcony, I highly recommend it. As for communication, Megan and company were very quick and attentive the few times we couldn't find something or had a question about he Wi-Fi. The game room is awesome--our group got a little competitive over the NBA Jam. Amazing experience in an incredible house-- highly recommend!
