Welcome to Wooded Bliss!
Construction of this high-end single family home was completed in 2021 and it's now ready to receive up to 8 adults (10 guests total including children). Everything is set for your perfect getaway in Saugatuck/Douglas at any time of the year. The home is a 15 minute walk/5 minute bike ride to downtown Saugatuck's many restaurants, bars, shopping, and activities with close proximity to Oval Beach and Lake Michigan as well.
With ultra-fast high-speed internet (1 Gigabit Speed), full house wifi coverage and a desk area in the 4th bedroom, this is also the perfect getaway for remote working & learning situations. Keyless entry allows for easy access and a more flexible, no-contact, check in/check-out.
This modern farmhouse inspired home features a custom chef's kitchen with high-end black stainless steel LG appliances, an island with counter-seating, large main-floor primary bedroom with private en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet, two 2nd floor guest bedrooms with a large shared bathroom, a half bath (with full washer/dryer) on the main floor off the shared living space and an additional large guest bedroom, game room with ping-pong table, 75" TV viewing area and full bath in the garden level basement space. In total, over 3,000 sq ft of living space!
There is a dining room off the kitchen with a table for up to 8 adult guests plus 3 spaces for countertop seating on the kitchen island and plenty of comfortable seating areas for the whole family or group of friends to spend time together.
Looking to be outdoors? Just outside the kitchen/dining room there is a grilling area with Weber gas grill and a 6-person outdoor hot tub available year-round! Just off the main living room space is a generous sized outdoor deck with outdoor seating and dining space (from Memorial Day to Labor Day) for a perfect west coast of Michigan cookout! Additionally behind the house, for the kids, is a wood-mulched play area with full-size cedar wood playset.
Looking for things outside the house? Wooded Bliss is located very close to town - just a few minutes in a car. Enjoy strolling Butler Street and hitting all the restaurants and shops Saugatuck has to offer. From the famous art galleries to locally roasted coffee, jam and jelly shops. There is no shortage of fabulous places to ignite the senses.
Get outside and enjoy the nature the area has to offer! With multiple boat/kayak rental options nearby, you can get out to the boat launch and hop in the Kalamazoo River in no time. If you're looking for a nice walk or hike, there are multiple wooded foot and bike trails that lead to the beach where you can find gorgeous sunsets. Bring your own bicycles or rent one nearby for the week for easy access into town or just a 20 minute bike ride to The Saugatuck Dunes State Park. Here you can hike straight through to the most idyllic beach. So many options to enjoy inside and outside of this property.

We could not have been happier with our stay at this beautiful Saugatuck home. The home is located in a quiet cul-de-sac and had more than enough room for our family of four plus two grandparents. The home was clean, comfortable and well-stocked with everything needed for a restful stay, especially the kitchen. We loved the location and took daily trips into downtown Saugatuck (a 5-minute drive) and beaches, pick-your-own farms and other attractions nearby. Our kids loved the toys in the cozy basement, as well as the ping-pong table, games, books, puzzles and backyard play set. We wouldn't hesitate to return again!

This house is a newer construction house and is very nice. It is extremely well appointed and worked well for our party of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids). Very kid friendly which we loved. We were comfortable and had a great trip. Would love to stay here in again in the future.

A beautiful home. Lots of windows showcasing the bright green of the new spring leaves. A fantastic gathering place for our family (6 adults & 2 children) for our daughter’s wedding weekend. Kitchen has a beautiful picture frame window that shows off the sunset. Comfy beds & well equipped kitchen. The hot tub & the ping pong table were a hit. Our 6 year old grandson thought we should move here!

Thanks to The Wooden Bliss, we enjoyed a perfect, long weekend. If only the wonderful host Mindy could have controlled the weather, I would have given our stay 6 stars. However, everything she could control was done perfectly, from the minute we expressed interest in the property, to the minute we left and everything in between. This property was immaculate in absolutely every way as it was more than apparent that there was great pride taken to make certain that was the case. Knowing my better half and the couple we hosted, that added so much to their enjoyment. It was pretty much “welcome home” from the moment you walked through the front door. Now, the kicker...we tend to enjoy a little bourbon every once and again, and to our very pleasant surprise, there was a little bottle of one of our favorites, waiting on the counter with a few other goodies. If that wasn’t enough, our collective dreams came true when we opened the freezer to find it well stocked with clear ice balls. If you are a bourbon drinker, I needn’t say any more. Mindy, what a great touch!! Finally, If you want to have close access to downtown Saugatuck, but feel like your miles and miles away, stay here!

This property was great. Everything was brand new and clean. Great for a cozy fall getaway for the whole family. Everyone enjoyed it. Location was great. Close to downtown Saugatuck and Cranes Orchard. Owner had a cute gift package that included whiskey, coffee and treats. Such a nice touch! Would definitely stay here again.

This property was one of the nicest homes we’ve stayed in, and that’s not just in Saugatuck. The house was immaculate, the beds/bedding were like sleeping on clouds, and there was plenty of space for the kids to play. We were also really impressed with the quality of the appliances and amenities. Use of the hot tub was especially relaxing.
The location was very close to downtown, and there was plenty of space in the driveway for the two vehicles we had to park. It was in a quiet neighborhood and the neighbors were very friendly.
I would absolutely like to stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Wooded Bliss! Everything was beyond perfect! Cozy, modern, super clean, extra supplies, lots of towels, comfy beds, safe/beautiful/quiet neighborhood, hot water for everyone to shower, games/toys for rainy days, close to everything, and of course the hot tub! It was just what we wanted for our girl’s getaway. Mindy made it easy to communicate and I am confident if we needed anything it would have been taken care of. However, our stay was seamless from check in to check out so we didn’t need a thing. We appreciated all the small details that made our stay extra special, especially the availability to play music throughout the house from the provided iPad. This was not a problem for us but you CAN hear everything that is going on in the house (people walking upstairs, people in the kitchen, someone taking a shower, etc). If I had kids with me, I would make sure to bring a sound machine to drown out that noise. Not terribly noisy but just something to point out. Overall, an amazing all around place and you will not be disappointed if you stay here. Thank you for having us!

We were fortunate to find such a wonderful house just a couple of days before our visit. While there were crowds of people in the downtown nearby, one would never have known it as in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful landscaping. The kitchen was fully stocked with kitchenware and spices if wanting to cook. The modern home was very comfortable and not lacking anything to have a relaxing and memorable time with family. The ping pong table and hot tub were a bonus. Thanks for sharing with us!

The modern family farmhouse is beautiful and the setting lovely. A lot of care is taken to make sure their quests have everything they need.
We used the free local transportation interurban for the short ride downtown so we didn’t have to take multiple cars for our group which was vey convenient.

The house is gorgeous. There are much nice kitchen items than any home we stayed out previously. Plus having extra paper towels and toilet paper was a first. There is a great deck and the teens enjoyed the hot tub. We loved it and would definitely stay if there again if the property was available.

Loved this place! The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped and large. The whole house was very clean and well kept. I've never seen such nice children's toys and books at a rental. The play equipment outside was well loved too! We all agree this was our best "holiday house" in the 5 years our family has been coming to the area.

House was great for young kids - had a lot of toys to entertain them and gear (kitchen items, books, stools for reaching sink) that we didn’t have to bring ourselves. Very clean, comfortable place to spend a trip away from home.

Modern, new house with a lot of amenities. Great kitchen with really nice cookware. The family room is big enough to accommodate a larger guest population. Mindy was responsive and easy to communicate with, even provided a gift. About a 15min walk into downtown Saugatuck. Jacuzzi worked well. Not too many hazards for young children and with a playscape in the back for them. All in all an excellent spot from owners who care. For guests who stay up late or awaken early, bedrooms do get some sound from family area. Undoubtedly, two thumbs up!

Recently stayed at this property with a group of friends for a “Girl’s Weekend”. The house is beautiful and the location was exactly what we were looking for, close to town but quiet and serene so we could be able to sit outside and enjoy the hot tub and patio. The house itself is well stocked, clean, and tastefully decorated. The welcome gift was a nice touch and was much appreciated on the cold fall days :-) Communication and check in/out was a breeze, and the owner was very accommodating to our requests. We would highly recommend this property and hope to book another stay in the future.

My sisters, brother, and in-laws all loved the beautiful Wooded Bliss. The location was close to all that Saugatuck has to offer but away from the crowds. We enjoyed the patio and ping-pong table and appreciated the ample space and bathrooms. (While we had no little ones, the home was ready for them.) We definitely recommend it.

This property is outstanding. 4 bedrooms spread between 3 floors. Amazing media room in the basement with a ping pong table. Very clean and well stocked. 15-20 minute walk to town. Easy check in and out. Would stay again!

This property is a great house for a group. The house is brand new built in 2021 and is beautifully decorated. It feels very modern and had very comfortable beds. The hot tub is a great feature as is the ping pong table downstairs.
Mindy and the property manager were very responsive and easy to work with. I would recommend staying here and plan to again the next time I’m with a group going to Saugatuck.

Above and beyond expectations
This house was everything we dreamed of and more - I did not want to go home at the end of the week! It was perfectly sized for our group (3 couples, myself and a friend, and a young baby) and we loved having the huge kitchen and living area. Mindy was super responsive and helped us figure out how to connect our music to the Sonos system, and she went above and beyond and had the property manager install the baby swing before our stay. 10/10 would stay here again!

Absolutely perfect
Wooded bliss was perfection, the house is immaculate, completely stocked with everything and the perfect place for a family with kids. We had three generations, from the 2 year old to Grammy, everyone loved it. Communication with the owner and property manager was great. Within minutes of checking in, our 4 year old locked the door to the lower level, and Chad was there immediately to unlock it. Can’t say enough about this rental, truly one of the best we have ever stayed at. We all can’t wait to return.

Fantastic Family Getaway
Wooded Bliss was the perfect home for a family trip to Saugatuck. The first floor master was great for the grandparents and the bunk room had ample sleeping spaces for kids of all ages. The owners provided amenities pep many amenities to keep the kids entertained, including the outdoor playset, childrens books and toys. The secluded area and quiet street were perfect for wildlife sightings and safe outdoor play. Thank you for a great time away!

All of our pre-stay correspondence went seamlessly. Upon arrival, we we’re impressed with the thought that went into the prep of the house. The house was spacious and well furnished. We will probably be coming back to enjoy Saugatuck soon.
