Searching for the perfect vacation? Isle of Palms best kept secret! Welcome to "Carolina in my Mind" in the beautiful Isle of Palms. This is the very quiet part of the beach. We sit on a lovely street, Carolina Boulevard and are only a three-minute walk to the beach with easy, flat beach access. It's important that your vacation stay be wonderful with an exceptional experience. We have thought of everything to make the stay memorable from the quality bed linens to a commercial ice maker maintaining an equivalent of eight bags of ice.
Upon entering "Carolina in my Mind" you will realize, this house is like no other. The beautiful furnishings and design, numerous outdoor decks, unbelievable rooftop views, to enjoy the beautiful IOP sunsets, private pool and cornhole course are just a few of the amenities making this your home away from home. You will not be disappointed.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!! Carolina in my Mind is located close to the best spot on the beach. We are located on the quiet side of the island with wide beaches and away from the traffic and crowds. After a quick two minute walk to the beach you can stroll waterfront and discover a landscape of unmatched beauty along the coast. It's not unusual to encounter dolphins at play or see a sea turtle swimming. Every day you walk will be a different experience. It's the best place to collect beautiful sea shells and make great memories. The breach inlet is just a short walk from the house , where you can take in the ocean breeze, gaze at the Ravenel Bridge or go for dinner/cocktails at the Boathouse Restaurant.
A short drive to or bike ride to Isle of Palms restaurants or to Sullivan's Island. A ten minute drive will get you to Mount Pleasant that has numerous restaurants and shops. Don't forget Shem Creek where you can enjoy food and views right on the water. Last but certainly not least you are only a 20 minute drive to the "Holy City"...the best Southern city in the world!

Fully stocked kitchen with marble countertops and high end appliances. Island bar seats four people. The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen and comfortably seats ten people. Bar cart in dining area to hold bar items and drinks. Kitchen is stocked with all plates and utensils. Turkey roaster and crockpot for holiday entertaining.
Family room has two full sofas that mirror each other and two chairs that share an ottoman, gas fireplace in family room and large television with cable and can also access such channels has Netflix, Hulu, etc. The voice activated remote control makes it easy to channel search. Powder room/half bath off the kitchen.
Deck with two swivel rocking chairs and small table adjacent to family room which overlooks pool and cornhole area.
2nd Floor -
Master Bedroom - King size bed with double vanity, oversized walk-in shower featuring rain shower head and sprayer. Custom designed closet by Charleston Closet with ample drawer space. Master bedroom also opens out to fully decorated second floor deck with ocean and pool views and easy access to to the rooftop. Features a one cup coffee machine for enjoying a cup of coffee while watching the sunrise from the rooftop.

We loved our stay at Carolina on my Mind! We had several rainy days due to Topical Storm Debby but having to stay inside this beautiful and spacious home made it much easier to bear. Beautiful kitchen and comfortable beds. Marian was a great host and replied to all our questions quickly.

This was our first trip to Isle of Palms and it did not disappoint! The house was beautiful and well stocked with everything we needed, including beach towels, chairs, an umbrella and a cabana. The host was very responsive and check-in was seamless. The location of the house was spectacular and only a block from the beach. The views from our bedroom and the rooftop deck were stunning! We will definitely be staying here next year.

We have stayed at many places over the last 11 years in Isle of Palms and this was one of our favorites! The house was clean, beautifully decorated, and great location. The only improvements we would make is the shower pressure in a couple of the bathrooms and we wished the outdoor space would’ve had a larger table for us to have lunch/dinner while the kids swam in the pool. With that being said-we had a wonderful time and can’t wait to come back!

Our family of 10 loves Charleston, and we love the Isle of Palms even more. This home is in a perfect location on the island. Very quiet, and only a 3 minute walk to the beach. The house is exactly as advertised and is beautiful from bottom to top. The views from the rooftop deck are amazing. There was plenty of room for our entire family to spread out and have our own space. The pool was wonderful. The house was clean. And Marian, the owner, was always available and wonderful to work with each time we had a question. We had a fantastic family vacation and will be staying at Carolina In My Mind again in the future! I highly suggest this property for a perfect family beach getaway!

It is such an important trip to our group and this house is perfect for us - spacious, amazing location, great pool and yard, really nice design of bedroom spaces. We had a great family vacation at this house for my mom’s 70th birthday. The house is beautifully maintained, in a great location and has everything you need to hit the ground running. We took advantage of the many beach chairs, towels, coolers and wagons provided for our short walks to the beach. The backyard area and pool are also great and we enjoyed many afternoons back there. Marian is a highly responsive and accommodating host who made the check in process seamless and quickly answered any questions we had during our stay. I would highly recommend staying here if you visit Isle of Palms and we would gladly come back for a future stay.

This was one of the best rental properties we've ever stayed at in our over 25 years of renting vacation homes. Our entire family really enjoyed the large open family room and gourmet kitchen. The extra long dining room table allowed us to enjoy not only some great local takeout, but each others company as well.
The bedrooms were great with comfy beds, high-end linens and private en suites.
The heated pool, multi-level decks with seating, and beautiful neighborhood only one black from the beach were the icing on the cake.

We had an amazing stay at the Kemp beach house for a long weekend in Charleston! The house is gorgeous, very clean and extremely well stocked. It was so close to the beach and has lots of space to hang out and enjoy the ocean breeze. The host was super responsive and made everything easy. We wanted to never leave.

Couldn’t have asked for a better vacation home for our annual girls trip. The photos don’t do it justice! The house is absolutely stunning and so thoughtful stocked with everything from toiletries to kitchen supplies. We loved the outdoor area and took full advantage of the heated pool and grill. Being in walking distance to the beach was also a huge plus.

I rented this house with a group of friends for a girls weekend. The home is even more stunning in person (if that’s even possible) and beautifully located near the beach and close to downtown. Booked this property for a large friend group’s weekend away and everyone loved it. The group is mostly women and the amount of bathrooms was perfect, there’s plenty of space even with a full house. The rooftop deck at sunset is a must, and being walking distance from the beach but also having a pool available makes it so that everyone is happy. I had a very easy time getting in contact with the property manager even on a holiday weekend, if I ever come back to Charleston (hopefully we do) I would definitely book here again.

Our family of three generations, ages 5 through 71, had a fabulous time on our vacation in IOP at this beautiful home. The house was perfect for us, we loved the large, open kitchen, dining and family room and also the comfortable bedrooms, each with its own bath. The beach was two blocks away, it was beautiful and never crowded; we especially enjoyed taking early walks there at sunrise. The small pool in the backyard was also a plus.
The kitchen was well-equipped although we used it mostly for breakfast because vacation means eating out, doesn’t it? There were lots of good restaurants in the area. We loved Acme Low Country Kitchen and Home Team BBQ for the family, and Obstinate Daughter (fabulous anniversary dinner) and Leon’s in Charleston, for the adults.

I give this house 4.8 stars. This is such a great beach house. It’s very spacious with views of the ocean from the 2nd floor balcony and widows walk. The house comes very well stocked with high quality linens and towels, beach supplies, and kitchen needs. It’s a short walk to the 5th Avenue beach access. The only reasons I did not give it 5 stars was that it echoed a bit too much (nothing a few more runners in the entryway and upstairs couldn’t fix). Also we could not figure out how to get the fridge any cooler. We were not able to use the backyard area due to active landscaping on 2 days and I had to sweep off the patio the first day due to landscaping debris which shouldn’t happen when you pay this much. When I brought this to the owner’s attention she was very responsive, apologetic and gave a small refund for inconvenience. Things like this happen so it wasn’t really a big deal. None of these things would prevent us from staying again and we are already considering booking for next year! Overall I highly recommend this lovely home!

This house is an absolutely incredible find! The location and area are superb with easy beach access. The house itself is gorgeous and so well maintained. Marian had everything we could possibly need - including kitchen gadgets, bedding, towels, and beach/pool supplies. The heated pool is lovely and made for some magnificent evenings. The elevator is very convenient. The views from the top deck are superb. Marian was very accommodating when we asked for an early check-in and went out of her way to make it happen. I would absolutely come back to stay here again in the future and would recommend others to do the same!

Carolina in My Mind is a spacious, warm and welcoming home. Five friends and I stayed 3 nights and we had plenty of space. We enjoyed the pool area, cocktails on the rooftop deck and the comfy living area. One night we had a chef come in to prepare a meal for us. He was very pleased with the quality of the kitchen appliances and all the cooking tools. Location is ideal. A two minute walk to the broad beach and a quick drive to the grocery store and all the restaurants on Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island. We appreciated the comfortable beds, plush towels, the elevator and the art and decor. Marion was easy to communicate with and that made our stay even more relaxed.

We absolutely loved our stay in your house. When we first entered, we all looked at each other and commented how we didn't need to plan any excursions, we could just stay in the house. We did plan a number of outings, so we didn't have time to take advantage of all that was there.
We wish we had time to enjoy the beautiful pool. We also wanted to play corn hole but didn't have time.
We did eat on the roof top deck and enjoy the sunrise and sunset. We cooked in the wonderful kitchen and sat at the dining room table. We used the wagon and brought the beach chairs that were supplied to the beach which was just minutes away.
One thing we wish we had was more hangers. Also, the sink in the whale room has a very slow drain.
