Set on six acres, this cabin is set up perfectly for a group retreat in the great outdoors. It's easy to make up some refreshments in the fully equipped kitchen (set with a farm sink and full size appliances), then enjoy yourself out on the deck while admiring the view of the mountains. If it's too cold outside, set up a fire in the wood stove. Better yet, spend some time in the outside sauna! Outdoorsy guests will love touches like the bunk room in the upstairs loft (that also doubles as a nice TV room) and a private washer/dryer in the unfinished basement. Guests can all relax together in this cabin, where roughin' it meets kicking back.
What's nearby:
The Rio Grande River is just 200 yards from the cabin, just a skip and a jump away for the adventurers in the group. Overall wasn’t a bad place to stay. Just need to know that it requires a level of stairs to get into the home. Spiders and bugs present throughout the home. Overall needs some updating for the price.

Super clean and, other than food of course, stocked with everything! Plenty of linens, blankets and towels. Every cookware and utensils you need. Also, we loved that it stands alone, no immediate neighbors. We totally loved it and already planning to stay again!

Nice stay

Nice place but needs some TLC. A deep cleaning would be for starters. The parking with a trailer took some careful backing as the long narrow road to the cabin didn’t allow for turning around.
It being the hottest summer in the area, it got rather warm in the late afternoon but that was of no fault of the owners .

Zero upkeep, worn out house.

It had plenty of space for our family. The upstairs loft was very roomy and great for the kids. We like all the games as well. We were mostly there in the evenings so did not get to go hiking around there but looks like a great place to hike.

Home was perfect for our family of 6. Laid out well. Great location, close to river. Enjoyed the private fire pit each night. Lots of blankets; overall well stocked. Would definitely rent again. Thank you!

The location is great! Close enough to get to anywhere conveniently, but felt far enough away from everything while cooking out on the back porch. The mountain in the backyard is so neat! The kids loved having the whole upstairs to themselves!! (Grown ups loved it too lol)
Very great experience, we will definitely be back.

My family and I loved the cabin! It was even better than the pictures that we saw of it.
We enjoyed the loft area and we enjoyed all the games and puzzles that were there. Very beautiful scenery, plenty of fun things for us to do in the area, and a nice peaceful atmosphere.
I would highly recommend any big family to stay here. There is plenty of room.

Great stay.
Did not receive final check in instructions until 15 min before check in time(3:45pm). Tried contacting host and Virbo by phone, email and chat all day on day of check in. Finally got a call back at 3:45pm and she texted me final check in insructions.

Hidden Fun Cabin
We enjoyed our stay. The wildlife was amazing! Deer and even a bear! The cabin was full of everything we needed and more. The only negative feature for us was no ground level access to the main floor. You have to take stairs to get to the main level. A member of our group has trouble with stairs. Otherwise, the stay was absolutely wonderful!

Perfect for family getaway
Perfect place for a family getaway. Loved the location. The home had everything we needed and was close to a grocery store for anything we forgot. (Though far enough away from town to still feel remote.)

Baxter Family Trip
We arrived to a beautiful secluded cabin just off the main road to Creede. The cabin home was such a great place to sit back on the deck in the back with a little camp fire and view of the mountain right out the back door . We will be returning for another stay soon ! I highly recommend getting this cabin . It’s stocked with everything I’m the kitchen , beds are comfy and plenty of space to hang out

House was clean and had plenty of room for our party of 6. Living room needs some more comfortable seating. Rocking chair have a nice rustic touch but not very comfortable.

Roomy, quiet, nice neighborhood, good bed in master. Needs work on bath by master and kitchen cabinets need a good cleaning and replacing of some things.

Close to Fun Valley
We had family staying at Fun Valley so were looking for something convenient to that. This was ideal. The house was very comfortable and felt homey. The only problem we had was the oven did not cook evenly. After learning how to adjust what we were cooking we were fine. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay.

Musty house
It served our needs well. It felt as if house had been closed up for some time and smelled musty as did bedding outer covers. Once opened up an aired out it was fine. We did get some freebreeze fabric spray for the covers. We did enjoy our stay

Cute cabin just right for our family spring break
The cabin had the right amenities for all of our family's needs on our spring break. We needed 4 rooms and with the 3 bedrooms and pull out couch in the living room it was perfect.
We went skiing at Wolf Creek Ski Resort. It was a 23 minute drive, which is closer than Pagosa Springs.
Not many restaurants in South Fork, but we stopped at a grocery store and planned meals for the week. This worked for our family, because we were all exhausted after a full day of skiing.
We saw wild turkeys, and mule deer that came right to the porch of the cabin. Very cool!
We look forward to staying again.
The owner of the cabin was very nice and accommodating in answering our questions, since this was the first time we have used this type of service.
Thank you for a great first experience!

We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy, spacious home! Our kids loved the upstairs!! The only thing it needed was a hot tub

Nice place to stay, in good location
Pros... Beautiful scenery, ATV trails are close, good fishing in river, restaurants (The Malt Shop), a lot of neat stuff to do all within 45minute drive. Cons.. Would have been little better if weeds were mowed around cabin and parking. Only TV is upstairs, not that that's what we're there for but when it's pouring down rain kinda hard to do much outside. Other than that it was Great place to stay
