A lovely property that has been recently renovated to provide a modern, but cosy base for exploring Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales. The fire and excellent heating system ensured the property was warm and welcoming even with very cold days. Only single drawback is the busy road on the doorstep, but we were aware of this before arriving and the noise was not as bad as some had commented.

Stayed for two nights lovely cosy cottage

The property was as advertised. It probably suited parents with kids rather than 4 adults as the second bedroom was small. The bathroom was a little odd. Despite it size most of it was taken up with a fibreglass slipper bath and the shower was downstairs in the dining room. Kitchen was good but details all wrong, no bread knife and the other knives wouldn't cut butter. No coat rack on the ground floor, no welcome pack. However, the general layout was fine, very good value and despite the over engineering of the front door we had a good time. Skipton has much to offer and Dales Edge is very close to the city centre.

Well presented house in a great location as it is only a short walk along the canal to the centre of Skipton. Small park nearby, great for early walk with the dog Good provision of items needed for a short stay. The road noise can be intrusive at night but we brought earplugs!

Easy to find. Plenty of parking on side street or opposite the property. Good sized rooms. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of hot water and a nice bath. Easy walking distance along the canal to the town centre.
Overall, a very enjoyable mini break.

So lots of the reviews complain about the road-yes it is a busy road but not as bad as the other reviews make it sound. It was quiet ant night and really just cars in the day. Also the house is double glazed and has a hedge at the front so it’s not a big deal.
A couple of things, no cloths/washing up sponges/tea towels which surprised me. Also no where to hang coats or put muddy boots which could have been an issue if we had had bad weather
On the whole really nice house in a good location for a Dales holiday

Beautiful property. Very well equipped. Easy walk to Skipton town centre even for us two geriatrics. The traffic outside was a bit noisy at times. Overall enjoyed our stay very much,

This was a real gem of a place, spotlessly clean and well furnished, a real home from home. Lovely little touches throughout. Good communication with the host who was very helpful, quick to respond and provide information. The only negative for us was that whilst it is very conveniently located for Skipton, it is on a busy road - so despite the very comfortable beds the noise of passing traffic didnt allow for an early night! Also, having stayed in several similar properties of the same standard, it was disappointing that no welcome pack was provided. Otherwise, you cannot fault this lovely place. We enjoyed the little garden in the sunshine with a nice cuppa.

Excellent location for touring around the Dales and surrounding areas. Cottage is finished to a really high standard. Unfortunately, we did have an issue with the hot water. We contacted Nick the host who answered within 5 minutes and came to try and help within 15 minutes. As it was clearly a plumbing issue he offered us a full refund on the spot or the option of staying and having a 50% discount - which is what we settled on. These things happen, was through no fault of Nick’s and he really couldn’t have been more helpful. We made sure it didn’t detract from our stay in a beautiful area.

The cottage is modern and clean and has everything you need on the whole bath and showers are good. Note it’s on a main busy road which was busy all day. A welcome pack would have been nice to start you off but that’s a minor thing

We loved our stay. The house was perfect in every way for us and our two children (age 9 & 10). Very well equipped and the beds were amazingly comfy evens the kids said so! We would be very interested to know where you bought your mattresses and bedding as we own a guest house! Would definitely recommend.

3 day pit stop to see family
Wonderful house. Been modernised clean lovely attention to detail. Beds were very comfy as was sofa! Could of moved in and not left! Walkable to town, always found a parking space. Nothing negative at all re house. It is positioned on a busy main road traffic noise early morning with window open. But I’m not used to it… partner slept thorough. Would go back. Thank you.
