Room was spacious, shared bathroom facilities were clean
A lot of old photos on the walls were a perfect match to the atmosphere
You have to consider that this is an old building (more then 100 years), so it is not a modern fancy location
It was a little hard to find after hours. But after finding the way, everything was good for one night stay on the way to Melbourne
Wi-Fi also did not work
3.5
This was a road trip stop for us. The historic look of the hotel caught the eye. The food was impressive-with good selection, huge portions and a range of vegetarian options. The shared toilets and showers were clean- but without gender specification- which was a bit disconcerting. The staff were really helpful and friendly.
The showers could do with an area to get changed in private. We found it hilarious and made sure we didn’t meet each other but it could be a very traumatic situation for someone else.

Nice and clean
Nothing to complain

Quiet and very friendly staff. Extra blankets provided were helpful.
It would have been great to have a kitchen sink available in common area and a heater in the room. Powerpoints also need checking as one didn't work.

Great location, great price, staff really friendly, the meals are great and not expensive, shared facilities were clean, I had no issues with the hot water. I like the heritage touches to the hotel, the old pictures on the walls and the period furniture. Thanks for a worthwhile stay in a nice little friendly town. I'm sure to be back.
Lighting could be a bit brighter in the room, but that's not major

Really good price for an affordable roadtrip, drink prices really cheap too. Interesting old hotel with old photos and stuck in time vibe, ladies in the bar were very nice
The room had a slight smell like you might expect, but it didn't bother us.

Ventilation in the room was poor and when I opened the window there were no insect screens

Beautiful heritage building.
Musty old smell in the room.

it was basic, but clean.
the sinks took ages to drain & being shared facilities it was not nice to have to wait for other peoples water to drain & have to clean it before you could use it
4.5
Balcony, bed, pillows and nachos
Old wooden stairs outside but I’m afraid of heights.

The location was excellent in the centre of Millicent.
The facilities were commensurate with the cost of the accommodation.
The pub food was good.
The verandah area was a nice touch.
Lounge area was of a high quality.
The single bed was unexceptional.
Staff didn't top up the tea and sugar in the lounge on the first night of my stay but did so when I mentioned it to them.
Accommodation was on the top floor which meant a lot of stair climbing.
