** New for 2024 - newly updated master suite and new HVAC unit!** Cypress Sunrise Vacation Rental is located in one of the most beautiful and desirable locations in Pawleys Island, SC.

Built in 1983, with all cypress siding, Cypress Sunrise is located on the Pawleys Island creek. It offers stunning views of the sunrise (and moonrise) over the island and tidal creek. This three bedroom, two and a half bathroom single-family home will provide your family with plenty of room for that perfect getaway. The master bedroom is downstairs with two additional bedrooms upstairs. Add a pull-out couch (with memory foam mattress) and you can easily sleep 10 people. The wrap around, screened porch offers beautiful views of the creek and a cool ocean breeze.

Cypress Sunrise vacation rental boasts a private dock in the back yard and plenty of outdoor space. Your family can enjoy the peaceful and unique landscape to enjoy a day in the creek or cool summer evenings. Additionally, kayaks are included, which makes the beach just a quick paddle away. Bring your bikes so you can enjoy leisurely rides along the two-mile wooded road leading into the neighborhood. Another favorite way to spend the day is fishing or crabbing in the creek so don’t forget your fishing gear. Fishing licenses are available at Pawleys Island Outdoors. There is a boat landing just across the creek on the island. Please note that the beach is close but you will have to walk across the creek, kayak or drive to the beach. You will have to utilize Highway 17 if you drive so taking a golf cart to the beach is not an option. Either way you choose to travel, plan on about 10 minutes to get to the closest beach access.

We absolutely loved our stay at Cypress Sunrise! The kayaks were a huge hit and we used them every day, paddled to the different little islands and looked for shells, and paddled back. We loved that we were able to fish from the dock! We took our skiff and put in at Murrells Inlet public ramp as we were afraid it would get too shallow in the creek, but we were hit by storms within an hour. The weather was off-and-on-showers, but overall it was a beautiful week for July. The breeze was nice coming off the creek and we couldn’t see the beach but we could hear the crashing of the waves. It was a short drive to Pawleys Island beach area, not too crowded, and dogs were welcome. We were close to Murrells Inlet for our favorite dining spots of Graham’s Landing, River City Cafe, and Hog Heaven, and we also went to Pawleys Raw Bar and The Islander for meals. Both local places were excellent. We shopped at the hammock shops and The General Store, and ended the weekend with my daughter getting engaged right on the dock at Cypress Sunrise!!! We are so excited and this place will have a special place in our hearts because of it! Loved the ease of check in and check out, loved the space under the house, the grills, and the cornhole set. We had a lovely week! Thank you!!!

This house was great for the busy July 4th week. We had beautiful views on the creek but weren't overwhelmed by the crowds. We watched July 4th fireworks and Salute from the Shore on our dock with great views. We read, slept, ate on the porch and kept beach trips to early morning and evening. Great place if you want to avoid the crowds of summer and just relax.

We loved every second spent here. Cypress Sunrise was not only comfortable but well equipped for all kinds of winter fun. The host was so helpful in answering questions leading up to our stay and even put up a Christmas tree because we were celebrating the holiday while we were here. We can't wait to book again.

Beautiful, spotless, and peaceful. Magical spot. Beautifully appointed, lovely home. Well stocked with cooking supplies. Brand new beautiful dock with benches, kayaks, and crab traps. Unfortunately the creek was too low(even with high tide☹️ for the traps and too cold to take them out and drop them from the kayak. We did do some kayaking and it was beautiful. Short drive to the beach. Fireplace was beautiful and was a wonderful touch. The views from every room are amazing. Just overall the best rental we have had.

Great location on the marsh which we really enjoyed as we love to kayak. Not far from the beach and really liked the Pawley's Island Beach. It would be an upgrade to remove the carpeting and even though I understood we needed to bring our own linens - more than 1 dishtowel would have been appreciated. Great place overall.

We so enjoyed our stay, the house was well equipped. The sunrise from the dock was spectacular. The area was very quiet and made for a peaceful vacation. The beach was a very short drive and we found it was never crowded. Kids enjoyed the waves. It was very nice that the owners allowed the use of kayaks as the kids now have added them to their Christmas list. We will keep this location on our favorite list.

Carpet upstairs could use replacing. Water damage in walls upstairs makes me wonder if any mold issues. It had about everything one could ask for in amities. Great outdoor toys. The kids loved the kayaks. Overall an enjoyable week.

We loved, loved, loved the property. Unfortunately Hurricane Ian had other ideas for us and we had to evacuate our first 24 hours. Kristy and Dave could not have been nicer and communicated with us throughout the process...including when we had to return to retrieve the clothes we needed to wear to a wedding that happened in spite of the rising water and loss of power. We will definitely return for a stay but probably not during Hurricane season. This is one of the coolest houses we've ever stayed in for the shortest amount of time!......love at first sight and the hosts are top notch!

We chose this house because of its setting on the marsh/ creeks and because it takes pets. It was actually better cared for and more well appointed than I expected (and a good price). While I do wonder if the owners will eventually replace the stained carpets with a water hardy laminate floor, I didn't stress about the stains because the carpets felt clean (they take pets!) and everything else was so great. We spent so much time on the screened in porch just enjoying the beautiful view, tried out the kayaks and crab cages, fell in love with the outdoor shower which has the best water pressure in the world and enjoyed the proximity to restaurants and the beach. Would definitely go back!

With warm and responsive hosts, our stay at Cypress Sunrise was pretty much perfect. We watched the sun come up over the creek and marsh full of interesting birds and other coastal life. The house has porches galore for visiting and watching the coastal show of birds and tides. Clearly these hosts work to insure the comfort of their guests. We will certainly be back!

Very comfortable. We enjoyed the screened porch and grill/picnic area under the house. It was nice to have beach toys available for the children. Only negative was having to travel with sheets and towels for everyone. There are blankets available.

Cypress Sunrise was amazing. The rental was spotless and extraordinarily equipped - not just with items like coffee, sugar, paper towels, toilet paper (I could go on and on), but also with binoculars next to a book on birds of South Carolina and a telescope. The chairs were all comfortable, the beds perfect, the screen porch ideal for morning coffee and bird watching. It was one of the top two VBRO's we've ever rented and we look forward to returning soon.

We loved Cypress Sunrise! It had something for everybody. Close access to restaurants, shops, grocery stores, 10 minutes to beach by car but felt very remote and isolated from the world. It felt like your own family generational SC beach home. Loved the house / dock setup for kayaking, fishing, crabbing. I kayaked every day, a lot with my kids. We had fun swimming in the creek and exploring it at low tide. The outdoor oyster roast / grill area was perfect for a family gathering in the evening. House was set amongst the shade & beauty of oak trees and in a location of similar homes. Neighbors were friendly and it felt very safe. Owners were responsive to communication and accommodating of any request. We are grateful for them and the time we had at their place !

We had a wonderful long weekend! What a treat. The location is just beautiful. The house is spacious and clean. The beds were so comfortable too! We loved taking the kayaks out, hanging out on the deck with a book, riding our bikes around the area. I highly recommend it! We hope to come back!
