The original property we rented up in the 4x4 had a problem with the well so Vacasa worked with us and put us in this property instead. We felt like it was a blessing since our daughter broke her leg the week before we came to Corolla. The location was fantastic and the house was beautiful and very comfortable. And that view!! Gorgeous! The photos aren’t updated and there is a brand new kitchen and the floors have been redone on the main living level. We really have no complaints aside from the cleanliness of the place. We feel that the cleaning service could have done a better job. Would definitely rent it again!

Our family of 15 got perfectly in this house. Every family had enough space where you didn’t feel cramped. The pool was a short walk and the views of the ocean were incredible. The kitchen was very well stocked with whatever appliance you could possibly need! We will definitely be back to this house in the future!

Beautiful views of the ocean and so convenient to be right on the beach! The house had great amenities and fully stocked kitchen for all your needs.
The downstairs A/C was broken when we arrived but Vacasa responded immediately and brought over window units so the bedrooms were very comfortable. The ice machine broke as well mid week and was not able to be fixed which was inconvenient.
Overall - wonderful house and wonderful stay!

Loved the property and all amenities! The coupon for the free bagels was SO awesome. The dishes were a little grimy all week b/c of the dishwasher, but everything else was more than we could hope for. Thank you for providing a great experience for our family.

We loved the proximity to the beach and the size of the bedrooms/layout was perfect for our group of 14 (half kids/half adults).

View cannot be beat and makes up for the parts of the house that are still dated. Photos are not up-to-date so know that the kitchen and flooring are all new. Best stocked kitchen we have ever had! Main floor bedroom will get woke up w the bright sun and no reprieve. 2nd floor bedroom by hot tub - just know it powers on about every 10 minutes all night long so light sleepers like me will r require ear plugs. Hot tub was very newish and so clean. Most bedrooms/baths are dated but again the view makes up for it. Enjoyed pickle ball courts (but bring own paddles).

great amenities. loved the pool for a different scene when we could not go to beach. When we got there one of the windows was broken and glass all over inside. There was only a vacuum cleaner to do the floors. would like to have a swifter or cloth swifter broom. the broom we had was not very effective for sand. there was not enough hot water for everyone to take a shower from day one. communication was not very good when we called about the window or hot water problem. loved the view and that it was so close to beach. plenty of room for 16 people to spread out. all in we had a great time. Not sure we would go back to this place.

The house was big enough for our family and the bedroom layout worked really well for us with plenty of space for everyone to spread out when needed and a large living space on the third floor for everyone to gather together. However, we were very disappointed with the pathway to the beach. It was overgrown with bushes which greatly restricted a section of the pathway. This made it very difficult to carry out beach items to and from the beach and help our kids down the the beach. We reached out to the Vacasa rep for our stay via text on our Forst full vacation day and was told they would send someone to address this issue. I reached out for a follow up mid week and was told the local staff received the request and someone would be out as soon as possible. They did not update us on our request and never had local staff come to the house. It wasn’t until our check out day that I messaged them with my complaint that this was not taken care of that I was told that there was no local staff to complete the request.
We also found broken glass in the master bedroom and in the kitchen that was not cleaned up prior to our arrival that my nephew found. The basement freezer was also covered in spilled beer.

The home was comfortable and had everything we needed, including easy access to the beach.
we appreciated the multiple bathroom, all couples and families had their own bathroom (10 people in total stayed).
We would stay here again.

The view was spectacular! From the main floor, you could see dolphins while enjoying a morning cup of coffee. The neighborhood was isolated just enough for privacy, but close enough to ride bicycles to the stores.

This property is all about location, location, location. The carpets are old & need some attention as do a few other things like one shower curtain hanger that was on the ground on arrival. If you want new & fancy, this isn't it, but more than adequate unless you are fussy. The title is because 3 of the toilets were clogged on day one, use one, so there were issues with water pressure there & we had to plunge one toilet or another almost daily. One toilet literally broke apart when my daughter (<100 lbs!) sat on it & we had a small flood. (Clearly it had to be cracked prior to our arrival & we are a calm family so nothing we did.) Overall though, you can't beat being a few yards from the beach & that all but made up for a little inconvenience.

You’ve heard of a million dollar view, this place has it! The decks were brand new with ample chairs and swings for everyone to enjoy, plenty of bathrooms so no lines 😉

Alot of Issues.
The upkeep on this house is horrible. Some of the furniture was dirty. There where nails sticking up from a lot of spots all over the house (decks and stairs). It took them three or four days to get us our pool pass, so we missed a lot of the warm days to use the pool. There was hardly any hot water in the house. There was windows missing screens and some of the screen doors where broke. Now the house was in a great location and over all beautiful. I would personally never rent it again. I dont usually complain like this, but it was my parents first real family vacation. I know there is a pandemic still going so thats why i didn't call a lot to complain about every little thing.

Family time!
We had a great family time. First week there was 12 of us and very busy spending time on the beach with 4 under six years old, and they had a wonderful time. Second week was the four grandparents with quiet and rest and visiting small shops on the Outer Banks. Thank you for your family friendly home.

First Experience in OBX
This property was perfect for a girl get-away. The sunrises are beautiful, the sounds of ocean waves lulled us to sleep and the beach was warm enough in April for catching rays. We enjoyed local restaurants, shops and hanging out on the decks, in the hot tub, living areas and kitchen. You just need a rental car and all of OBX is just a few miles away.

Family Vacation
The house exceeded our expectations. The house was very roomy, clean and comfortable. There was plenty of room for the entire family to gather as well as areas where you can “escape” for some alone time. The beach was a 5 minute walk(at most). There are a number of steps to climb. We spent all our time at the beach so we never went to the community pool. I would highly recommend this property.

enough living space
While there was certainly enough living space, the bathrooms were so small there was barely enough room for one person much less a couple. The house needed work on the bathrooms, many of the toilet seats were cracked or dented from the lid hitting against the seats, and the throw rugs were torn.The house needed a good cleaning and the vacumn needed run. The outside also needed cleaned, there were boxes from a sink that had recently been installed.. In general, this could be a wonderful house, but, the house was "tired" looking and again, the bathrooms were way too small and I would not rent this again.

Beautiful House
The house was clean and beautiful. Lots of steps so be prepared. We had our stay cut short due to Hurricane Florence but made the best of the days we had. Only complaint is the day before we were evacuated, called to have propane tank filled and they never showed. Made due on grill until ran out of propane and had to finish in the oven.

Awesome Beach Location albeit Shabby Outdated Home for the $$$$$$
Ok, there are AWESOME things about this property and NotSO awesome things. First off, this place is H-UGE! Plenty of space, tons of bathrooms, 4 floors to get away from your family on!!! Lots of porch with amazing views (I was hoping to be able to put pictures here to show ups and downs). Location is amazing, the beach is perfect and steps away. The neighborhood is nice, pool is nice but very boring and there is a pool Nazi there monitoring your every move! Good toddler pool, easy to get too, yadda yadda. Now, when you drop over $5000 for a week in a big house on the beach you also expect that the homeowners aren't cheapskates. Aside from there being a million glasses and dishes, expense on the homeowners part was definitely spared! Unless you are 3 years old, simply turning to wash your backside in the master shower hits the faucet and either scalds you or freezes you! TINY! All the vents in the house are rusted, wood rotting with nails popping up from deck boards, 50$ grill with no propane (at least they brought some when we asked), TV's in every bedroom and two living areas BUT... word of advice cheap homeowners... Leaving a CRT TV from 1988 in a high end beach rental (in the main living area too) is REDICULOUS! A 50inch LED flatscreen costs $400 nowadays! And how about HBO? $10 a month... Cheap Homeowner = won't be renting that house again. If you want to spend a fortune for a great location with NO FRILLS, by all means this is your house. In summary, lots of space, cheap homeowners who want you to squint at their 24inch cathode TV while they rake in the bucks!

Terrific property; looking forward to coming back
Our extended family group of 12 had a great stay at Ocean Sunrise the first week of August, 2017. The house was clean and well maintained (one of the 2 kitchen sink disposals broke down -- maintenance came right out to fix it). We loved the easy beach access and were happy to find the extra beach chairs and boogie boards on the ground level. We highly recommend this house and would definitely come back.
Some random observations for first-time tenants:
- VRBO listings do not include their fee and the NC state tax, which will add 13+% to the listed price;
- rent direct from Corolla Classic Vacations (the property manager) and save the hefty VRBO fee;
-- be warned -- traffic in/out of Corolla is terrible on Saturdays -- count on 1-2 hours of bumper-bumper driving;
-- the gas grill is great, but it's on the ground level (I guess to mitigate fire danger) and the dining room is on the 3rd floor. You will get plenty of exercise if you cook out.

great views, privacy and beautifully laid out home
a perfect place to get away from city life for a while, and enjoy the natural beauty of the outer banks. the house is very well stocked for home cooking, and with the many outdoor spaces, a great place to relax and enjoy being outside. on top of that, you are only 50 steps away from the beach - and a quieter part of the beach at that - which you can also see from the 3rd floor outdoor deck. this house seemed to be the best one in the neighborhood! we'd love to stay here again and are already thinking of when we might do just that.

Need new cleaning crew
The view was great. The house was dirty. The room with the green bed had cobwebs in the top of lamp shade. The microwave had splatters of some kind of food. The windows looked like they hadn't been clean in months. The tables were dusty.The toilets had were dirty. The tubs were not clean. Would not recommend this house to anyone. House needs some updates. We rented the house from Saturday to Saturday and we left on Thursday morning.
