Beautiful, period style niche hotel with very comfortable accommodations and super staff.

It was the best place. Loved the decorations and all the framed pictures and mirrors. The bed was super comfy. The breakfast area was very neat, convenient, better than any chain hotel.

All in all a good place to stay if you aren't looking for chain type hotel.

good location, restaurants and coffee shop in walking distance as well as galleries and antique mall

Two nights were reserved, but woummm

Nice clean property. Robert was a doll telling us where to eat and places to visit. The bookstore owner next door was very accommodating with information and a map.

The curtains were a mess, unable to close the first night (street lamp on main street shining in our window.) Second night a young lady came with a ladder and corrected that. Not happy a 55-gallon trash can was right in front of our door catching rainwater from a leak in the roof. Wasn't at all happy what smelled like bug spray hit us when we came into the lobby Saturday night.

like old buildings but the walls are not as insulated. but that is part of the experience

Every one should stay at the Palace once for its history.

The Palace is a great place to stay once if you want to see what hotel stays in the Old West were like 100 years ago. The Palace is a walking museum. The front desk staff is exceptionally friendly. Compared to the "take it or leave it" high price strategies of the chain hotels located on US180 my Palace Hotel room was a bargain.

My positive comments above about the Palace are a hint as to its negatives. As a historic inn located in the downtown area away from traffic flows, the number of paying customers is constrained as is management's financial ability to upgrade the hotel. I suspect that Grant County building ordinances also limit the amount of enhancement the Palace can do without bringing the building up to code--a very expensive undertaking. The Palace's management is doing the best it can with the difficult architectural hand it was dealt. Those who plan to stay at the Palace should know that it has no elevator or sprinklers. And the street noise from Little Toad Creek Brewery adjacent to some east-facing rooms can be a problem for those who go to bed early. I'm glad that I stayed at the Palace this one time for its historic significance to Silver City, but I'll probably go back to the hotel on US180 on my next visit.

Had a great time and would recommend the Palace to anyone visiting the area.

Really cool historic building in downtown Silver City. Lovely decor made me feel like I had stepped back in time, and it was beautifully kept up. Every one was very friendly, helpful and shared a lot of information about Silver City and the Palace Hotel regarding past and present. A very nice experience!

Hotel with a lot of character

The hotel is bang in the middle of town with most things within walking distance. The hotel has character, friendly, talkative staff and is clean. The rooms are adequate for the price.

The loud noise of the cleaning of the streets, woke us up very early. Breakfast is very basic, so we had breakfast on the way to our next destination.

Very late 1800's charm in lobby, stairwell, and rooms. Some minor attention needed.

The breakfast was just above continental with no hot items.

All the options were cold.

Helpful staff, good location, hotel retains some of it's original charm.

Location was close of restaurants, shops and farmers market. Staff was very helpful sharing points of interest that we might enjoy.

Near by night life was a little noise but settled down by 11ish!

This is a very special hotel. The staff was amazing. The furnishings were beautiful. It has been maintained very well.

This is a historic hotel. The floors are creaky and the stairs are steep. I would stay here again and again

Superb

I really liked the old decor of the hotel, room was nice and bed comfortable. Excellent location! Robert was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was better than I expected. Would definitely stay again!
