We loved the area it was close to the pier and beach front and the kitchen was a nice size and the beds were comfortable.

Love the view from this house. The dunes are low here, so you can see the beach as well as the ocean. You can also see the ocean from 6 of the 7 bedrooms.

House was filthy. Hair and blood on sheets in bedroom. Called office and they said they would send housekeeping. No one came. Had to go to office and pick up sheets and towels myself the pool was not working the pump had blown did not tell us until the day we were driving there finally got the pump running on Wednesday night we left on Saturday. there was dog poop on one of the decks Dog hair all over the floors shower door in master bedroom falling off the only really good thing about this place is the location refrigerator did not work. This house really does need a lot of maintenance on the inside and the outside I would never ever go through Vacasa again save yourself, a lot of heartache and book with another company .

The views are magnificent! With a little TLC this place could be a gem! We left this cottage cleaner than we found it, that's for sure!!

This house was a really nice place to stay for my entire family. We all had a good time, there was enough space for all of us and walking to the beach was a breeze!
However, when we got to the house, it had not been cleaned. All 5 bathrooms were dirty and my family and I spent several hours straightening up the house, the outdoor shower had a razor blade and half full beer can, and in one of the bathrooms, very used towels had been stuffed in a drawer. The pool and jacuzzi were low on water and needed to be filled. We were missing towels out of the main bathroom which to their credit, Vacasa was able to get those too us very quickly and they did refund the cleaning fee.
Overall, it was a nice vacation, but the property management needs a good bit of work.

The property was fine until TS Ian came on Thursday 9/22. My niece came and told me there was water coming in from the bathroom ceiling in the 2nd floor bathroom, one that is shared with another bedroom. I emailed the office and left a message about the leak. I called the next day and spoke to a rep who said someone would call me back. Never received a call. Friday night, 9/30, the kitchen ceiling started to leak ( constant stream of water from the ceiling). Now I have a partially collapsed bathroom ceiling with black mold and a new leak in the kitchen. Still no word from anyone regarding this matter. I've included my email thread for your review. Vacasa

I never received any assistance with these issues. I called yesterday (9/30) and I was told someone would call me back. No one did, In the meantime, part of the bathroom and bedroom ceiling fell, exposing black mold. The kitchen ceiling started to peel, also.
With the storm, some siding by the kitchen sliders (which really need the tracks cleaned!) came off the house and was hanging.

This house has a perfect location right on the beach and is large enough for an extended family. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to cook. The grandkids enjoyed the waffle maker breakfast.
Check in was an issue. When we booked the property it had a 5:00 check in which we tried to move up. After we boutique they changed the check in to 6:00. We finally got in after 7:30. We were told there was a shortage of cleaners and I can understand that. But expecting to have them clean a 6 bedroom 4 bathroom house in a couple of hours unreasonable.
The house also needs to have regular maintenance done. We have two loose toilet seats, one broken one, a clogged shower and the swimming pool not working.
Management did have maintenance people come in and deal with these issues and the pool was fixed by late Tuesday afternoon. Management didn’t d give us a small credit for our troubles but a house in this price range should be be better maintained.
Overall we did have a great time on our stay here in Avon.

Nice House
House has great decks for ocean gazing, lots of space to spread out, a pool, nice TV, helpful elevator, and really comfortable living room furniture. The downside is the need for significant cosmetic repairs and a good deep cleaning..

Great location on the beach - close to Avon Pier, restaurants, and grocery. Living spaces were comfortable, and kitchen was well-equipped. FYI, the only grill is a small park-style charcoal grill, so depending on the size of the group, it make take a few rounds of grilling to cook everything.
Oceanfront properties at the OBX get hammered by the elements and need additional TLC, which this property needs more of. The outside is in pretty rough shape, and there are signs of previous water damage throughout the house.
We arrived to a leaking faucet knob on the tub in the upstairs master. The carpeted floor around the tub was soaked and water was leaking through the ceiling and onto a bed on the floor below. We spoke with the realty company who told us that maintenance would respond and fix the issue. The only response we received was a voicemail later that evening saying maintenance would call and come out the next morning. No big deal if we had some light bulbs out or needed tv remote batteries, but we had water leaking through floors and ceilings in the house. Fortunately, we knew to unscrew and remove the wooden skirt around the tub to access and shut off the water lines. We used towels and a fan to dry the carpet out over the next couple of days.
To their credit, the realty company removed the cleaning fee from our reservation and called several times during the week to make sure everything else remained in working order. We have rented through them for many years because of the good customer service experience, and they did their best to make up for the inconvenience.
