My properties are situated on the edge of the beautiful Somerset Levels where they combine peace and tranquillity with the convenience of being easy walking distance to Langport with its pubs, restaurants and shops. Ideal for weekly, mid-week or weekend stays for families, couples on a romantic holiday or special interests such as walking, bird watching, fishing and visiting the many national trust houses and historic monuments nearby.
The ancient beauty and diverse wildlife of the area makes it one of the landscapes that have inspired many artists and photographers as well as drawing visitors from all over the world. The ancient Muchelney Abbey is less than 2 miles from Huish Episcopi and Glastonbury Tor is only 12 miles away.

I have stayed in the cottages and the house a few times now, and have never been disappointed. I would highly recommend it. Sophie and Mary are really helpful.

The cottage was charming, and the hosts made it easy to settle in.

Another lovely stay at withy cottages. Everything you could need for your stay, cottage is cosy and the owners go that extra mile to add in little extras. The location is quiet and peaceful but close enough to local amenities for everything you need, and the location is great for exploring and sight seeing beautiful villages and also the coast. This was not our first visit to withy cottages and won’t be our last - totally recommend 👍

Long awaited visit to see family after long and difficult illness, much needed rest and comfort. Very friendly welcome by owner.

Spent 4 wonderful nights at 1 Withy Cottage as we explored the region. The cottage was supplied with a full range of breakfast items including eggs from our hosts own chickens! We took advantage of the nice weather to soak up some sun on the adjoining patio. Our hosts were gracious and helpful when we needed assistance. If ever back in the same area we would absolutely book the cottage again.

Unfortunately, I only got to stay 1 night but fell in love with the quirky cottage with the flagstone floors and the fresh eggs left in the kitchen for breakfast along with 2 nice bottles of cider!

Visiting from Australia to see a seriously ill elderly relative in the local village. Having our own place to stay and the great amenities was a godsend.

We could only stay for one night, but were made to feel extremely welcome and really appreciated the breakfast items in the fridge and cupboard. Delightful cottage, lovely comfy beds and good quality linen (I'm fussy!) and is in a very accessible location. Would 100% recommend and come back again.

We stayed 8 nights for a wedding and then a rest! The cottage has all you need for a comfortable stay, the shower is fabulous, the beds are comfy. Mary stocked the cottage with lots of lovely bath and shower products, dressing gowns, hairdryer - all you could want and more. The kitchen is well stocked with jam, marmalade, bread, eggs from their hens, butter, cider! Wash up liquid, dishwasher capsules and more. Would definitely stay their again.

We were out most days visiting family but enjoyed the breakfast facilities and the cottage was warm and welcoming to come home to.

We were visiting for a family wedding nearby and we were extremely impressed with the welcome and friendliness. The cottages are lovely and a much more relaxed option than a hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and we were made to feel very comfortable. Thank you!

Lovely cottage beautifully furnished
Great halfway point for us travelling down to Cornwall. Beautifully refurbished cottage, particularly bedrooms. Unfortunately my 6 ft husband kept hitting his head on the low doorways and the pungent smell from the nearby abattoir spoilt our stay.
