Great location on Longboat Key, LOVE that they have beach chairs and umbrellas available. Space was clean and comfortable except for the beds, which is a personal preference, we prefer hard beds these were on the softer side. Otherwise awesome place!

Property was nice and close to the beach. Quiet community. Check in instructions were a little confusing but once we figured out which side of the road we needed to be on it was an easy process. Rooms were great, beds were comfy. Would definitely stay again.

The bed linen meaning pillows bedspread was not good took one out of closet it looked like pea stan on it in the middle so could not use it., took too long to exchange, no pool or hot tub, no tv's in bedrooms, had cable issues The place was located in good area, had blinds fall down in master bedroom.

The location of the condo is excellent—just yards from the Gulf beaches. Walking distance of several terrific restaurants and an easy drive to Sarasota. The unit is well equipped, spacious and comfortable. The owner supplied towels and linens were in abundance. Free laundry in the 8 unit complex is handy.
The TV is a smart TV that is not connected to cable. It does have Netflix, Prime, ESPM and other streaming services (you need your own account info to login) and it has many channels. It does not have a cable input so it uses a streaming service with which we were unfamiliar and found it difficult to navigate to watch several events. Luckily we had our Fire Stick with us and used that to navigate the system. Our only suggestion for the owner is add cable service to the TV.

Nice condo with terrific beach access. It should be added to the listing that Beach Castle resort provides beach lounge chairs and umbrellas for all guests. Overall a nice rental. Not generous enough in towel supplies and beach towels would have been nice to have provided. Kitchen supplies very underwhelming especially compared with other beach rentals we have done. Not even salt and pepper provided. Poor quality paper towels/one kitchen towel to use/should note coffee brewer is full pot, not Keurig. Coffee filters provided but no coffee. No dishwasher detergent provided at all. Small amenities that would go a long way to enhance the rental.

This condo is in the perfect spot for beachwalking! Miles of firm, white sand both north and south of the property. Nice view of the gulf from the lanai, and we kept the doors open all night and listened to the waves. Several nice restaurants within walking distance, too. Loved that Longboat Key is so quiet compared to other nearby islands, but be prepared for occasional slow traffic getting back to the mainland. Would definitely consider renting this property again!

The property is a great location. There was a couple of items that need attention. The Patio Door Blinds need some attention. 4 individual blinds are missing. The blinds operate okay, they just have gaps where the blinds are missing. The Master bathroom the Shower faucet needs repair. It is loose. We also found the shower curtain was badly stained and rusted at the bottom. We purchased a new curtain. I would also suggest adding a Television in the master bedroom. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nice two bedroom condo on property that is beachside and bayside. Have stayed at several units and all are very nice. Had an issue with beachside community washing machine not working and due to holiday repair would not happen until we left but no big deal just walked across street and used bayside facility. Beautiful quiet beach just steps away with chairs and umbrellas provided. Would recommend.

Quiet, nice beachfront spot
Came for a few beach days with our teenage kids. Location was great for us: laid back, walk right to the beach out the back door, and a few nearby restaurants. Beach chairs & umbrellas were provided & appreciated. Free laundry was also a plus. Be aware that only minimal paper goods (toilet paper, paper towels) were provided, so buy accordingly when you get groceries.
Quiet location worked well for us, but if you want more "action", stay further north near AMI.

Great beachside condo!
We are beach people. We came from up north in February for warmth and sun at the beach. We like a quiet, uncrowded, chill beach. This place was great and we would love to come back!
This is a nice quiet small building on the west/beach side of the main drag with 8 units - 4 up 4 down. It is as close to the beach as you can get - less than a minute walk - so convenient.
Probably built around the 70’s(?) the complex/building/unit has unassuming charm, updated decor, and everything we needed. The other 13 units in the complex (and office, pool, and bayside dock) are across the street on the east/ bay side. On each floor of this building, there are two units on the front/beach side and two on the back/ parking lot side. This one is upstairs, back, south side - great privacy. The lanai sticks out to the south so you get a great ocean view, nice morning sun though mid day (early March), and we could hear the waves 24/7. Lanais are stacked so there is one directly below this one so you will hear people out on their lanai. Layout is perfect for two couples/4 people. There is plenty of privacy between the two bedrooms/ bathrooms and plenty of room in the rest of the unit to hang out. Kitchen is good sized and very well equipped. We cooked every meal at home (used the community gas grill one night) except out to dinner one night (Swordfish Grill - great atmosphere and seafood.) Publix grocery store 4 miles/6 minutes away and tons of restaurants and shops everywhere. Harry’s convenience store short walk. Everything we needed was close by.

For beach, condo complex provides plenty of:
-upright and lounger chairs at the beach
-Bin of beach umbrellas near laundry room
We came to lay on lounge chairs, soak up the sun, and walk the beach. Perfect.

Beautiful Beach Facing Property
The Pros: the location is excellent. Despite hearing otherwise from the property manager, there were plenty of chairs and lounge chairs at the beach directly in front of the building. Also, plenty of beach umbrellas - at 10AM (in late Feb) I would set up 4 chairs and 4 umbrellas, and I was the first on the beach. Perfect. The kitchen was very functional, and there is a Publix down the road to stock the fridge (they close at 9PM - beware if coming in later). We stayed with a family of 4 and were very comfortable. The room was adequately described online, and our impressions upon entering was generally impressed (the outside of the building is older, so don't let that get you down). Overall it was clean and comfortable, and for relaxing on the beach - a perfect destination. We could have easily stayed more than the 3 nights we stayed, and would happily return.
The cons: The outside of this building is older, but the inside was nicely renovated - mostly. There were some broken light fixtures (the patio light didn't work so I tried to use one of a few lamps from the closet - each also broken), and the master bath/shower is a bit dated. Also, the AC was not super powerful, but it wasn't terribly hot while we were there. Not sure if the ice maker works or not - we didn't realize that there was an ice maker because we saw ice trays and used those the whole time.

This rental was perfect for our family of 6. The condo was exceptionally clean and had plenty of room for all of us. The beach is only steps away down a path. It was as if we had our own private beach. We will definitely be back in the future!!

Beautiful Beach Weekend
My family and I visited this property for a weekend getaway. We enjoyed the beach access and the shopping plaza across the road with a few restaurants and ice cream shop. We had a delicious dinners out at the Lazy Lobster and Ugly Grouper. The property was just what we needed. We had friends staying at the Sea Grape Inn and easily walked to meet up with them too. The beach was beautiful!!!

Broken items in unit
Unit does not seem to be checked very well between guests, light on night stand on left was broken and not plugged in, so we did not dare to plug in, broken toilet seat master bath will pinch your ass, sliding door in living room right side door does not lock so does not make you feel very comfortable when leaving unit with your items in it and at night when sleeping, other wise nice place great location nice beach.

Absolutely beautiful location!
This will be a comprehensive review since there were no reviews for this property when I booked it. Check in was pretty easy, we were given the door code and told we could go directly to the property, which was very nice and convenient. However, there was supposed to be a parking pass left in the condo for us to use. We couldn't find it. When I called the property manager, we were told we had to go pick it up at their office or risk being towed. The office is located on Anna Maria Island, so this was a 20 min. ride one way to get the parking pass. The condo is very nice. The location is excellent! The view from the screened lanai is just as pictured. The condo was very clean upon our arrival, except, in the morning when I went to make a pot of coffee I found the previous tenants never emptied the coffee grounds. I feel this is something that should have been caught by the cleaning crew. A couple items that need to be addressed by the owner.... the master bathroom toilet seat was cracked in half on one side. This made for a painful “visit”, therefore I mostly used the second bathroom toilet. The shower in the master bathroom's temperature handle needs to be fixed. We could only take a hot or scalding shower. There were no other options since the handle would turn all the way around. During our stay I found/killed approximately 6 ants in the master shower. Being from Florida, this did not cause me any concern because it is near impossible to keep a place completely insect free. This was my first VRBO, having previously used only hotels and other websites, I had a little sticker shock with some of the fees, that I have not encountered elsewhere. I'm not sure if these are VRBO specific or this property specific. We were required to purchase a damage waiver, which I have never had to do before. Also, there was a reservation fee on my receipt and yet VRBO hit my credit card for an additional fee. Again, not sure if this is normal for VRBO. The managing company charged my credit card for about 1/3 of the cost, then they told me I needed to send the remainder in the form of a check/money order or if they charged the remainder on my cc I would have to pay an additional fee. In all the listing said it was estimated at one cost per night, but when all the fees were added in, we paid much more. I'm running out of room, I will say we WILL stay here again, loved location and the condo really met our needs, but our eyes will be open to additional costs.
