About this apartment rental

A cozy cabin on a stocked freshwater lake that is part of the Gulf Coast Aquifer system. Unique, beautiful, and private. Fully furnished kitchen, full bath, full sized fridge, queen sized bed, and all the amenities to boot. The back patio overlooks the water and incorporates living cypress trees into the construction. Comes with private parking, private dock, an outdoor gas grill, and fast Wi-Fi. Kayaks available.

While we are pet-friendly, we do charge a $40 fee per stay for the option of allowing your pets to stay with us. VRBO does not allow the incorporation of pet fees directly into the booking charges. If you are traveling with pets, you will be charged an additional $40 per stay to compensate for the additional time, money and effort required to maintain our facility in order to be pet-friendly. We take great care to clean meticulously to accommodate travelers who are not pet-friendly. Thank you!

This cabin is small but packed full with everything we needed. Even a full size washer and dryer! The location is convenient to the Boardwalk, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. The lake is peaceful and quiet. We had to drive into Houston one morning very early and the drive was not nearly as bad as I expected. We enjoyed our short stay!

we stayed here to help celebrate my partner's birthday, and it was everything we could've hoped for. In particular, we enjoyed the deck--being able to sit out and enjoy the view over the water (watching the turtles & fish)...and jump in ourselves! We used the grill to cookout--and the bed was very comfortable as well. Thanks!!

My husband and I were looking for a quiet getaway. This was the place. It was extremely clean and organized. Close to shopping. The place is definitely small so for the two of us it was perfect. Not a fan of the " stove". We prefer to cook our own meals and I would have preferred a regular oven or bigger stove area. We wished the back door would have had some sort of screen door so that we could enjoy the view and fresh air and leave the bugs outside. Would we stay here again? Oh yeah! Most definitely

You will need nothing at this cozy cottage. We THOROUGHLY enjoyed our time here. The host was super responsive and every detail was on point. We will return.

My Husband and I stayed here for his birthday weekend! Everything about this property fit our needs. The place was clean and had all of the amenities that we would need. We would defiantly stay here again. One thing we would say is that the grill that is featured in the ad pics is a gas grill and the one at the house is a charcoal grill. We already had charcoal with us so it was not an issue at all… The place was extremely peaceful and the back patio deck bannister lighting added a great night time outside decorum…The water view was gorgeous day and night…

What a great place to get away! This may not technically be a "tiny house" but it is tiny, in a good way. Everything you need is right there, cleverly arranged and at hand. It took us some trial and error to figure out how to extend the chairs for sleeping (maybe print out instructions?) but it was comfortable enough. And the outside porch and decks and little area with an outdoor shower are the icing on the cake. We spent most of our time at the beach or museums, but the house is comfortable enough for some chill down time. I loved my mornings on the deck overlooking the pond with coffee and my dog. The only thing I would mention are that there is no dishwasher and I felt like I needed to wash dishes before I used them. And maybe the owner could consider trimming just a few of the banana tree fronds so people can walk in the walkways. I would stay here again!

Full disclosure. At first we had our apprehensions… it’s located near a dog resort and it’s small. However we were pleasantly surprised on many levels! It was quiet, the dog spa was not a problem. It was so well organized and so much thought put into your stay. We came in the heat of the summer and it remained cool despite the blistering heat. So many wonderful amenities!! The VIEW!! Sitting out with your coffee or an evening night cap, perfection. Side note we did not explore the other side of the cabin with a private shower and intimate tropical garden. All in all an excellent experience and we are open to returning.

Great location, literally minutes from the boardwalk and half an hour to Galveston. On a little lake surrounded by trees but also somehow 5 minutes from food and groceries if you need anything. It feels secluded even though there are houses right there. You can tell a lot of care goes into the property and amenities. Definitely coming back.

The tiny home was clean, organized and comfortable. It took a little bit getting use to. Management respected our rental space. We had no problems and enjoyed being on the water and fishing. We bought our own fishing and grilling equipment, but later on discovered there was both available. The neighborhood was very quiet. Forgot about the bugs and how they can be near and on water. Once we got control of them using spray and tiki we had no other issues. Great Stay!

A small waterfront home w/ outdoor seating & kayaks to enjoy on the small lake. Very relaxing ! We were very surprised that this place was so nice & we didn’t even know it was there although we both live only 20 minutes away. Who knew, lol ! Although we only kayaked, some people did swim in the lake with the many birds, perches & turtles there. Love this place & hope to go again. And again :)

The property was not clean! The floor was extremly dirty. Because there is a major road construction project it was very difficult to drive in the area. On a positive side, the cabin was small but had a very nice deck on a lake. Looking in the water was like looking in an aquarium.

This little cottage is very charming and well stocked for anything you would need (except your own food, of course). Streaming channels (one example: Roku) were available for free. Lovely, pleasant surprise! I loved having washing machine/dryer available. It was fabulous to pack CLEAN clothes back into the suitcase! I would definately stay here again!

We ere just in town for a couple of days and this spot was perfect for me and my wife. Enjoyed the view from the back patio. Very close to the Kemah boardwalk and many conveniences. Would defiantly recommend. Host was great!

The cabin was very cute and efficient. The back porch is where it is at - over looking the lake at sunset is pretty perfect. Just have to be prepared for mosquitoes and large water bugs from the water and trees on the property. Which not complaining the trees and water are some of this properties best features.

We enjoyed a peaceful stay on your property. Things were clean and in order. We were looking forward to fishing off the back porch but the tree branches kept us from casting out into the lake. We could see that others had tried before us as fishing line was stuck in the tree limbs. However, there were many things to do in Kemah and the surrounding area that we still enjoyed ourselves. We had a great anniversary celebration together.

We enjoyed our stay. It was small and cozy. We spent some time fishing out back, but the turtles seemed to keep all the fish away! Haha! We enjoyed watching the turtles though and listening to the rain. Conveniently located to all the things! We highly recommend a short drive to Viola and Agnes’ restaurant, best food we’ve had in ages!

This cozy little cottage on the lake is everything I'd imagined and more. Just a little noise from the doggie daycare next door, but completely silent at night. Birds, frogs, moonlight on the deck. Really close to everything you need, but like being out in the country.
