Things to do in Manasota Key...
Hit the Beach
Get ready for fun in the sun. Each of Manasota Key's four beaches along the 7-mile stretch has a unique personality.
• Manasota Beach on the key's north end is the only beach where a lifeguard is on duty. It's also a great place to watch the sunset or the reflection of the moon and stars in the water because the park is open until midnight.
• Blind Pass Beach, just south of Manasota Beach, has a secret, "away-from-it-all" ambiance. There are no lifeguards and only a few amenities, including a beach house with restrooms and a handful of picnic tables. You'll also find plenty of free parking, but don't miss the not-so-obvious entrance to it. Wind your way to a prime spot on the 3,000-foot beach through dunes and waving sea oats or explore the nature trail. Locals also call this beach "Middle Beach" to differentiate it from the Blind Pass Beach 35 miles south on Sanibel Island.
• Englewood Beach benefits by being in Englewood's city park system, so amenities are plentiful.
• Stump Pass Beach State Park, farthest south on the key, is flanked by two uninhabited islands to the east. The beach is ideal for sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling or surfcasting. The park has full amenities including picnic pavilions.
Hike the Preserve
• Meander along a shady boardwalk at the Manasota Scrub Preserve tucked behind Manasota Key in the town of Manasota. The 154-acre preserve will acquaint you with the natural plant and animal life in the area. Keep in mind that mosquitoes and other annoying buzzy things are part of the ecosystem and wear repellent to keep them at bay. Traverse a 1-mile marked trail that's accessible to all, or venture along reasonably flat dirt paths leading through scrub pine forest. After rainfall, check at the visitor center to see which trails are open as some flood or get muddy.
Eat Up at Manasota Key Restaurants
• Dine waterside on fresh seafood and barbeque under a big tiki hut at the SandBar Tiki and Grille. Refresh yourself with a hand-crafted cocktail that uses fresh-squeezed citrus juice or opt for spirit-free lemonades, teas and smoothies with a punch of fresh tropical flavors.
• Look out over Englewood Beach from the second-floor dining area at The Waverly, which is complete with white tablecloths, a fine dining menu and fresh-cut flowers on the table. Sit out on the open-air deck to breathe in the sea breeze off the Gulf. If you want something more casual, Waves Beachside Cafe downstairs serves up appetizers, cocktails and lighter fare
• Take the kids to dinner at White Elephant Pub on Englewood Beach. Once a 1930s resort, the pub is renowned for its fried chicken. You can also enjoy sirloin steak, barbecue ribs, chicken fingers and fried seafood baskets.
Restaurants on the Key are all located within walking distance of each other near the round-about (south bridge) across from Englewood Beach parking. Dining options include The Waverly (outside dining called The Wave), Lock N Key, Geraldi’s, White Elephant Pub, Sandbar Tiki. The Circle K offers a few grab N go items. A short drive over the bridge to Beach Road Wine Bar and Bistro, McDonald’s, and Farlows. Several restaurants offer live music and night life (near the around-about). If you have the stamina, head aross the street for late night at the dive bar Calico Jack’s. Boat rentals/tours and water sports. Near the South bridge there are several places to rent boats, charter boats, and rent jet skis and equipment for other water activities. A few places are listed here. Lemon Bay Tours 941-475-3169, Gulf Island Tours 941-505-8687, and Allure Boat Rentals 941-475-2628.
There are no grocery stores on the Key; however, both Publix and Winn Dixie are both close to the South bridge. If you only need a few items, The Circle K is located at the round-about and open 24 hours.

We absolutely loved our time here! The house was perfection and exactly like the listing. I was also impressed by the little things, there was nothing we needed that wasn’t provided. 10/10 recommend and we will rebook and stay here again. My husband who is NOT a vacation person even enjoyed the location and is ready to go back!

I’ve stay a few places in the area previously, this one is hands down the best!!! Everything you need. Was very grateful for the black out shades! Everything you need for a beach trip is here, cooler, ice packs, cups with lids, chairs. Plenty of towels and wash cloths!!

This place was perfect. It was close to everything, clean and cozy. We caught a few fish off the dock out back. I would highly recommend.

This is an excellent property. Very clean, spacious condo with two bedrooms. Exactly like the pictures in the listing. Great owner to communicate with and work with. We enjoyed our stay and were so impressed by all the extras offered in the garage - bikes and more! We loved this location, had an excellent experience, and will be back again!

This is our second time staying at Bohemian Sunrise. Everything is as described. There are plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, beach toys, bikes and kayaks to use. It was easy to access the beach and we loved sitting at the gazebo on the bay. You can pedal the bikes to the local restaurants or take Stumpy's free golf cart ride. Everything was very clean and the kitchen fit our needs. Gas grill in excellent working condition. Comfy beds with plenty of pillows. We sat on the screened in lani every morning and night with no disturbances from neighbors or bugs. This is an awesome place, thanks for sharing.

A fantastic location, with great amenities. Our time here was much too short. Looking forward to returning again someday.

We loved our stay 2 years ago, we decided to stay again this year! ❤️. Its location is prime and you have access to the bay and the beaches ⛱️! Stump pass is a hidden gem 💎 and we love everything from shark tooth hunting to dining out. We ❤️ Manasota Keys!

This property was in a great location. It was clean and well equipped. My only suggestions : better pans in the kitchen and , while aesthetically pleasing, the black shower curtains make the showers totally dark inside.

Nicely updated, Lania was very nice for outdoor sitting out of the sun. Close to many beaches. King size bed was way too soft, and may need to be replaced. The long stairs leading up to main level was tough to navigate with plants sticking through the flimsy railing.

2nd time we have stayed here. So convenient to beach and bay (walking distance). Owners supplied everything.

Very comfortable & clean. Chatted with the owner and recieved prompt response. The deeded beach rules, posed an issue for the beach access across the street that is not available to the renters in this unit. We easily took the ride with Stumpy and had access to several public beaches, which were not crowded at all.

We has a very lovely time at Bohemian Sunrise and we will surely return again. The unit was super clean with everything you could possibly need for your stay. We brought our own beach chairs and paddle boards. The garage was a great place to store them. Laura was a pleasure to deal with.

We were scheduled for a 6-night stay, thanks to hurricane Idalia we had to evacuate less than 24 hours after arrival.
Laura the property manager was amazing to work with
Property was very clean and super cute I will defiantly rent this property again!

Great communication with Laura, appreciated all of her additional info for the area and navigating channel for boat. Wonderful condo, there were many recreational things we could use if needed….just a great little place, close enough to everything but yet not too close. 😃

We loved our stay in Englewood. Your property is like a hidden gem. The property was better than expected. We will definitely be back again. The property was exactly as pictured and described. Communication was seamless and easy. Several beaches are close by. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai of the evenings. Thanks for sharing your home with our family.

We had a great time, clean, kids enjoyed the dock, beach close. The town has some great restaurants and bars. We loved the beaches and Stump pass was great. The only problem is a week isn’t enough time to visit here. We are ready to go back!

Drove to FL from North GA to attend my son's high school graduation from Charlotte High School. The accommodations were A+! Had a great time & very relaxing.
The attention to detail, comfort, cleanliness & ease of travel to and from were huge to me!
When in the area, this will be my go to spot!

We enjoyed our stay this weekend! Bohemian Sunrise is just as beautiful as in the pictures. Very clean and everything you would need. Having the beach gear was the biggest hit for our family. Spent a day at Englewood beach and then the next day explored Stump Pass nature trail and beach area. Went to Walmart and bought a goggle set and my daughter and myself found 10 shark teeth. Stump pass beach seemed so private and the water was crystal clear. Took the hosts advice and ate at Farlow’s 10 out of 10 would recommend. Went fishing at the local bridge, didn’t catch anything put seen plenty on dolphin’s and even a small shark.

The inside was very clean and well organized but the pictures were misleading as to the size of the space and the outside didn't look the same either. The entrance had stairs with a railing that was overgrown with flowers/vines. Didn't know we had to climb stairs to enter. I must have overlooked that when I booked the place. The beds were way too soft. The coffee pot didn't work very well..lid was broke and had to fix the basket upon brewing or it would overflow with grounds. The shower pressure was not very good and really needed a safety bar for older people. The kitchen and dining were great and well stocked. Lanai was comfortable and spacious. Not a convenient location. Guys doing work in another place. Started at 7:30 a.m...way to loud. Dogs barking. Overall was O.K for a few days. Wouldn't recommend for older people.

This Vrbo rental was beautiful. Property was very clean and well stocked. The screened in lanai was our favorite spot in the house. Easy walk to the beach, and the bay. Enjoyed the sun and sand every day, and beautiful sunsets every night. Looking forward to future stays.

This was a great property for a few girls to get together for several days. The owner has everything you’d need to go to the beach and enjoy yourself. The rest of our family staying down the street was extremely jealous. The condo is nicely furnished and cozy. Loved that the upstairs bedroom had its own bathroom. The kitchen has everything you’d need to make meals. The lanai is perfect for morning coffee. It’s close to the beaches and restaurants/bars. We’d definitely stay here again.

Condo is perfect for a couple and pet. Location is a short walk to the beach as well as the bay. Viewing sunsets on the uncrowded beach was a daily event! Multiple good restaurants are nearby. The unit is clean and well equipped including bikes, kayaks and fishing gear. We appreciated the quiet street and the nice neighbors.

We were fortunate enough to stay at Bohemian Sunrise for the month of January. Laura was a wonderful host and attentive to our questions. We enjoyed the lanai, spending the afternoons hanging out and reading. The view of the sunrise on the bay and crossing the street to see the sunset on the beach with a beverage was a daily ritual.
We frequented the Englewood's farmer's market every Thursday. The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy the local produce and seafood.
After a day of exploring, the beds were comfortable for a good night's rest and the neighborhood was quiet.
My wife joined two of the local bicycling clubs and enjoyed rides on the key and the surrounding areas. The community is very bike friendly. Also, check out the drum circle at Englewood Beach on Sundays before sunset.
We will be coming back next January!

It's refreshing to stay at a place that looks just like the pictures. (We've been burned a couple times.) It's well organized. Individual shelves are labelled with whatever is supposed to be on them. Lots of extras inside and out. I looked in the garage and noted lots of things like 5 or 6 bikes, kayaks, coolers, a cart to pull things to the beach, fishing poles, etc. etc. I even took a few casts off their dock on the bayside. I also enjoyed sitting on the enclosed porch and just chilling. And it's pet friendly. Our dog seemed right at home. If you are vegan or dairy sensitive, be sure to check out Mango Bistro in Englewood. Also check out the farmer's market on Thursday mornings....awesome. Easy access to the beach on the Gulfside. Just ask Laura for the easement sites....they are not easy to find if you don't know where they are. Overall, I would have no problem recommending a stay at Bohemian Sunrise.

Laura and Dale are amazing people! We loved staying at the property. Unfortunately, we were there when Hurricane Ian hit. They were in touch with us and were genuinely concerned for our safety. It's hard to find that nowadays. The condo is beautiful and very comfortable with access to three different beaches on Beach Road. We will definitely be returning to stay again. I highly recommend a stay at Bohemian Sunrise!

Fantastic Beach Home!
The owners have done a fabulous job of decorating this home with a minimalist-modern style! A very peaceful atmosphere.
The pictures in the listing are very representative of the house, which is appreciated! VERY easy access to the ocean!
We’ve never stayed in a VRBO with so many extras - trash bags, dish washer pods, clothes detergent, coffee filters... I could go on! The storage area was stocked with every piece of beach gear you could want!
Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

Great spot
This place was perfect for two adults and two teens(who didn't mind sharing a bed.)
Clean, comfortable, well furnished and well located.
We loved all the extras....beach chairs and towels, kayaks and bikes. This made our stay even more comfortable.
Sunrise from the screened in porch and sunsets from the beach across the street.
