We booked on short notice so we could participate in the Rice Moon freighter canoe tour that night at Point Pelee. Communication with the owner went smoothly and the place was sweet: simple and nice furnishings, clean and very spacious. It needed a bit of an air out when we got there but all else was very good. :)

Decent little space. We stayed here on our way home. Owners are friendly and accommodating. Would reccomend for 1 night stay. Golf course across the street.

The location is excellent. The rental was clean. The host is very responsive and polite. The water views are spectacular, we enjoyed watching the sun set each night after our days activities.
This location is minutes from Point Pelee National Park and also the ferry to Pelee Island.
If you like to golf, the course right across the road is very well kept. We really enjoyed it,
Know that you are renting a renovated garage, and that’s totally fine, just know that for your expectations. We might suggest bringing an extension cord, the outlets are in odd places. If you are fussy, bring your own towels and bedding, it’s basic, but it works.
To summarize, it’s a No Frills, affordable place to stay with good, friendly hosts. We would stay again.

This property was a great location for the Point Pelee Birding Festival. It was clean and comfortable. The only things missing were a dish cloth, dish drying towel and paper towel.
It worked well for our needs.

This was a great location for a round of golf right across the road. Would book again next year;)

Although the building appeared clean, there is an issue with ants, specifically on the kitchen counter. The outdoor sitting area is overgrown with weeds and the Muskoka chairs were not at the property. The wifi wasn't working.(my partner needed this for work) Conor responded promptly to my message regarding this however it was late in the evening before he got the issue solved & returned the chairs. There were a number of staples missing from the kitchen. (cutting board, bottle opener). The sheets didn't fit the bed, they were "bally" and the mattress protector was ripped, preventing the sheets from staying on the mattress! This building is located very close to a busy street, quite noisy in the morning and afternoon. This area is spectacular with loads of beaches, Pelee Island and Point Pelee National Park. We spent very little time at the VRBO.

The main house is a separate rental, when we were there people were having a party before some local festival. You very little to no privacy.

Nice cottage for two. Clean. Nice hosts. Great location. A little rustic, but very pleasant.

This is our 2nd time at this rustic bunkie on Lake Erie for our Birding getaway at Point Pelee. The accommodations are in a great location and just what we need for 2 people for a few days. We take our own pillows & towels and essentials. We enjoy recapping our day sitting by the lake with a glass of wine.
Connor the host is accommodating & friendly.
We have already booked for 2024

Please note: Conor (owner) advised me that the "bunkie" would be cleaned before our arrival. It wasn't clean. My husband and I spent 2 hours cleaning it upon our arrival. We hate to complain so we didn't mention this to Conor. However, we did contact Conor about the air-conditioning not working as it was unbearable. My husband and I both suffer from allergies and asthma. We tried troubleshooting the ac. It still didn't work. Conor advised us to open windows. This doesn't help someone that suffers from seasonal allergies. Plus the screen was missing from the window above the bed. We told Conor we might have to leave as we were having a hard time with the warm temp in the "bunkie". Our dogs were also suffering because of this. Conor didn't respond until check-out. He sent us a text saying he assumed everything was ok as he didn't hear back from us. He also said the ac worked fine for him. It doesn't work. Unfortunately, when we booked there hadn't been a review since May. It's so important to leave a review. We go on vacation to relax and enjoy ourselves. Conor doesn't care about customer satisfaction. He did zero to make this situation better. VRBO needs to be aware of situations like this. It isn't fair to the client to pay these fees and not be able to obtain a refund if the renter is not following the proper guidelines. A hotel/motel would've been a much better option in our opinion. Don't stay here.

Don't stay here
Well... I did wait 48hours before completing this review.
We were very disappointed, did not feel comfortable staying there and when we got off the ferry at 10pm, we actually decided to drive 2.5 hours home instead of staying for the second night. There was no shower head in the shower.... it was like a garden hose with water coming out of it like a fire hydrant. The floor in the whole 'bunkie' was slanted and it makes me wonder what they put the laminate flooring over. There seemed to be a hole around the toliet that the laminate was placed over. There was thick layers of dust on the wobbly ceiling fan and on the coffee table, magazines, books and games. We know it was 'pet-friendly', but we didn't expect the couch to have so much dog hair on it. The blinds were broken and they didn't even cover the entire window....so when we were in bed, someone could have easily been peeking in (as you are very close to main road). It made us feel very uneasy. There were holes in the corners/cupboards where foam insulation is visible. The patio was full of weeds. We were very shocked when we got there and contacted Conor (thought we would contact him first) and he said he would talk to cleaning lady and asked how could he make it better. We said it was no where worth what they listed it as, gave him most the details above and we were not happy with the conditions. Needless to say, we didn't hear from him again. This was a very negative experience and in our opinion, goes to show how people who rent places like this, at what they charge, seem only to be interested in collecting the money and not about client satisfaction. We wish we stayed in a hotel/motel.... would have been a lot cheaper.... especially with the housekeeping and administration fees through Vbro. :(

Cute Bunkie on the lake
Excellent location and in close proximity to Point Pelee National Park. We stayed 3 nights with our border collie to enjoy the bird migration. The Bunkie was great for us although it did have a few of issues. The open ceiling in the shower stall and bathroom floor were a little concerning. I highly recommend that your bring your own pillows. We loved its cozy rustic cabin charm and wood ceilings. The property is right on the lake with lots of room for the dog to run. We sat by the lake in the Muskoka chairs every afternoon and recapped our day in the park sipping a beer. We would definitely go back.
Conor the host was very accommodating with an early check in.

Cozy Cottage right on Lake Erie
The cottage was super clean and well stocked, including dried spices (a welcome surprise). The property backs onto Lake Erie, not a beach but many large rocks that you can clamber over when they are not wet, to reach the water. Unfortunately all lakefront properties appear to be privately-owned so my dog n I could not walk along the lake except for on this property. However, very close by is Point Pelee, which did have sandy beaches for us to walk along. The town of Leamington is about the same distance going the other way (north), and we enjoyed the Lakeside Bakery and a few thrift/second-hand stores. Kingsville was further and also fun for poking around stories.

Weekend Getaway
It was exactly what we needed! A small and cozy space for us to rest up and enjoy after our days of adventure. Really loved how close everything was to us! We didn’t spend time outside on the property, there was a cute sitting area but we enjoyed heading to the beach and enjoying our morning coffee there! Leamington is definitely a gem ❤️

Fantastic Getaway!!!
I was just looking for a little get away for my Son (who is 10) and myself and this place was perfect! You couldn't ask for a better location, and the cottage was so cute. Couldn't be more happy with the whole experience, and our host was great, very friendly, and had some awesome recommendations! Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet place with some of the nicest sunsets I have ever seen!!!

Small but cozy
The property is small but cozy. It had everything we needed. There were a few items missing but the owner was good about getting those to us quickly and was very responsive.
This property is right by the road. We did not find traffic to be too loud, but a light sleeper may have an issue. We did have some concerns around the floor in the bathroom and the ceiling of the shower being open to the electrical above. That said, the water pressure is great!
We mostly used this place as somewhere to sleep at night as it is very small. We knew that going in, so it was not a surprise and we planned for it.

Just for short-term stay
Guest house is a place just for couple of nights if you want to bring some food with you. There is a little refrigerator. Also it is only for 2 people/1person, not 4 (no place to sleep). Would be nice for owner to add outside umbrella and bbq. Air-conditioner is working perfectly 62 degree and not going up (very refreshing). Location is very convenient - 5 mins drive to your option of beaches, 2 mins to the marina. I would recommend this for young people with no kids.

Small and cozy
We like old places and the wood in this place is beautiful. It's certainly not luxury accommodations, but very clean, comfortable, everything that was needed and a great strong shower! We stayed four nights in cold weather (1st week of March) and it was just the relaxing get-a-way we needed. Very close and convenient to Leamington. Conor was great to deal with.
