Loved the house and location. Minor issues with the house that needs to be repaired. Ice maker still doesn’t work upstairs. Hot tub would have styrofoam floating in it due to how old the cover is. The pool was fabulous and well maintained. The house is beautiful and has a wonderful layout for guest. All bedrooms have a bathroom. Kids loved the theater room and pool table. Had an issue with flying ants in one of the bedrooms at the end of the stay and pest control was supposed to take care of it but this never happened. Nice neighborhood to walk and has several sound accesses. Do bring your bug spray they are relentless !

Our 4th stay at this home. Everything wonderful (only problem was a broken mixer, but we grabbed one at ACE Hardware). Couldn’t have been happier.

House was the perfect place for our group. We enjoyed the many decks, large kitchen and movie theater room (bring your own blue ray movies). Everything including the elevator was in good working order. Double dishwashers, ovens and refrigerators came in handier than we would have thought! Was so nice to walk in and have beds made, towels in each room, paper products, starter cleaning supplies and a good assortment of pans and dishes. We laughed about the number of wine, champagne and margarita glasses stocked! Enjoyed our stay and will be back next year!

Lots of room and clean. Nice secluded home. We will definitely be back, maybe stay for 2 weeks next year

Very well stocked kitchen and dining area. Unfortunately there are no blinds in the dining room thus morning and afternoon suns cause issues with games played on the table. The stand alone ice maker didn’t work after defrosting it 😔 but not to worry the game room has a full refrigerator with ice maker same as in the kitchen. Unfortunately the yard is full of sand spurs and our shepherd had constant issues with them while out doing her business.

Well equipped kitchen. Couple issues in kitchen addressed while there. Stand alone ice maker not working and refrigerator ice maker not working. Some things showing age. TV's in bed rooms could be up dated to smart TV's inexpensively. Vacasa was very responsive to our concerns. Was a great week family.

Honestly, the house was ok 2 years ago when we first booked it. This year, it doesn’t seem like the home has been maintained at all. There are multiple light bulbs out, the basketball hoop is on the ground, the handle ok the top floor exterior floor is barely handing on by a stripped screw and falls apart, there is still a roach issue and there was pee and dust caked on the toilet. I opened a ticket with their text service on the second day of arrival and never heard back to get anything addressed. The night stands in the master bedroom could really use a replacement between the water bloating and spilled paint. I didn’t thoroughly inspect all bedrooms but based on the overall upkeep, it’s in sad shape. The the carpets could also really use a shampoo based on the gross smell and dog pee stains. Vacasa really leaves something to be desired as a management company.

Elevator was broken the entire week. Had to carry all the things we brought up the stairs. One oven broken. Not fixed when we left.

This beautiful home well surpassed our expectations resulting in the most relaxing vacation we've had to date! We simply loved our stay & made us want to come back. From the creatively, themed bedrooms to the comfortable beds/linens, kitchen hand towels, sample bar soap, shampoo & dishwashing soap to the fully stocked kitchen, every detail was well thought out.
The outdoor shower, pool and hot tub was the best way to end a long day at the beach, sound or after a bike ride. We enjoyed the pool table, movie theater, played puzzles and even painted with the arts and crafts supplies available for use. Beyond terrific!
The only downside was the pokie cling-ons in the grass & mosquitoes. If you wear flip clips, you're fine, but dogs got covered which was humbug requiring us to walk a distance to find grass then pick the pokies off after every walk. Not much you can do about either of these "downsides", but pack bug spray & itchy cream.
Lastly, Vacasa made checkin/out very easy. House was clean, we received prompt responses and they were a pleasure to work with. We would highly recommend this home to another renter. This home looks like it's for sale so hoping the new owners will continue to rent in the future!

Had a great week at OBX, the house was a great find. The pool/hot tub - both were very clean, the pool area was a nice sized area, lots of seating. Media room seating does need some attention, couple of the chairs need replaced, but overall, a good room, media worked easily. Bedrooms-very nice oversized king beds. Bathrooms were clean & decent supply of towels. Kitchen was well supplied with dishes/glasses, pots/pans...we had everything we needed/wanted. Nice views from the balconies with seating on all. The elevator worked !!! - which was a very big asset. Only a couple minute drive to the beach, we used ramp #38 where you can drive on the beach (to the right). Definitely need to air down, and AWD/4X4.

Our Dad rents a house for us yearly (been doing this for over 20yrs when my Mom started the tradition). My Sister and her family, Brother and his family and Me and my family all enjoyed spending a lot of quality time with each other in this spacious house. Large kitchen and dining area allowed for eating together every night and playing games there as well. The pool was an added bonus for many. Overall, we really enjoyed this house. Great 4th level main living space allowed for ~300 degree water views of beach, lighthouse, and sound with awesome sunrises and sunsets.

Plenty of space for 8 adults and 5 kids. Unobstructed views of the sunset over the sound. Short drive to the beach and the grocery store. Pool and movie theater were huge hits with the kids. Avon is a nice town a little further down the island for a quieter, less busy week.

From the various family members:
The kayaks, the theater room, the pool and the lounge chairs, the well-appointed kitchen, the laundry facilities, the en suites, the comfy sectional sofa, the location (water views from every window, and the elevator (because there are LOTS of stairs in that 4-story house!)

Beautiful home and location.
While the house was beautiful and kitchen well stocked, we were extremely disappointed in Vacasa not following up on the leaking hot tub. The hot tub was not holding water and controls not working and Vacasa never sent a rep like they said they would at the beginning of the week.

Awsome
We go to the Outer Banks as a family every spring break. This was by far the best ever trip. And the house was the reason. Everyone loved it and are going to try and book it again for next year.

Great house for disabled people
This is the best handicap accessible home we’ve ever stayed in! The elevator goes all the way to the ground & the accessible bedroom has bars in the shower & by the toilet as well as a sink you can roll under. The house is beautiful with wonderful views and all of the bedrooms were very nice. I am the primary renters daughter T *******.

A little disappointed
Some of the amenities were not functioning upon arrival but the situation was remedied as best as possible by management in a timely manner. Overall condition of the home was decent, situated nicely on the lake and in eyeshot of the ocean and sound, and adequate for our needs but showed a lack of attention to detail in the area of maintenance. Would probably rent this unit again.

Beautiful home
This is one of the best homes for a large gathering in Avon. At my age the elevator really helped us all. Very well stocked and clean. Great location.

Beautiful home
We LOVE this house! We have stayed here 2 years in a row and we were looking to book a 3rd year but the weeks are already taken. I miss the days when you had priority to book before the house was available to the public. Those days seem to be long gone. The house has everything you need and more. Wonderful house and owner.

We arrived to a water main break in the town of Avon. And a 24 hour boil advisory. So we started our vacation off with a bang.
This house has 2 ovens but they will not heat past 350 before they both turn off. And won’t turn back on. With 14 people in our party and covid. We were planning on eating at the house. They offered us a $50 credit to feed us. No repair person ever showed up. But they brought us convection ovens to use.
The hot tub has something wrong with it. Because it kept shutting off. After 2 days of calling they showed us where the breaker was. All 4 trash cans were full and very stinky. With the covid cleaning fee we were charged you would think that they would not have left other people’s trash for us to take care of.
The elevator is great for handicapped and elderly. Or to take groceries up to the 5th floor. The pool, media room and pool table were a hit. This house is laid out really nice. And we had a good vacation. After we adjusted to the issues. Thank god they have a gas grill you can use.

Amazing place!
Every vacation home has some nits, but this place exceeded our expectations overall with great home flow, supplies, amenities and overall quality. Home is large and private. The large pond - views were beautiful from upper decks and great for paddle boarding. Struck out fishing the pond on paddleboard but was fun trying. Community sound access close by. Nice loop hike using sound beach, access points and boardwalk over marsh on this end of neighborhood. Theatre room was incredible. Pool table, pool and hot tub great too. Elevator worked well and really was a must for some in our family. For some, the distance to ocean will be an issue, but I was surprised how well you can hear the ocean so far over...amplified by winds and large pond. And sunsets right from top floor of home. Huge window looking out on sound in kitchen with large granite ledge above sink....among best kitchens ever on vacation.

Check Reviews!
The house is a great rental, the company that rents it not so great. Was charged a hot tub fee and an outrageous cleaning fee to only fine the hot tub dirty, the carpets dirty, one of the dish washers not working, they showed up and cut grass during my stay and blew sand and grass all over my cars. Not Vacasa who rents it will not respond to any of the issues.

Beach Heaven
Loved the elevator, handicap shower on 3rd floor and easy access to pool. I use a cane & could not do all those stairs. It is a beautiful place with good water views morning noon and night!

Wonderful views but...
The house itself is wonderful. Great views all the way around the house. Plenty of room for our whole family and 2 dogs. However, the hot tub was empty of water, the pool that was paid to be heated was not heated nor cleaned and the elevator did not work which meant my parents in their 70s had to go up and down 4 flights of stairs every time they needed something. It was too late to change places after travelling so far for a vacation.
