The location in the village was really great. We could easily get where we wanted to go. The whole condo is very nice but may need some upgrades.

This is one of those properties that could be 5 stars with a bit of TLC. Several inexpensive things like missing shower door gasket, standard sized pillow cases on king sized pillows and lowering shower curtain rod are easy fixes. Taking a little more influx of $ are the need for new carpets and end tables. The unit has good bones and is perfectly usable "as is." But difficult to give a while gearted endorsement. The facilities including the Recreation center are very nice. Spotless. Staff is friendly. Given some love this would be perfect.

Unit is attractive and in beauthiful Northstar Village. But, it is tired. Carpet is long past needing replacment, some of the kitchen & bath cabinets are chipped and scuffed. Showers desperately need new shower heads.
We'd stay here again, it's just that the unit and location deserves better.

This lovely 2-bedroom condo located in the Northstar base area was just perfect--lovely view, convenient parking, great fitness club and hot tub access--and three days of great winter of 2022-23 conditions!

The furniture and home appliances are dilapidated, more than four storage spaces are locked, and the carpet is dilapidated

This was our 2nd time to stay in this unit. We love the layout, view and amenities. We visit Northstar in the shoulder season to enjoy the peace and quiet. We recharge there.

Management company Vacasa and owners clearly don't give a fig about cleanliness, condition of unit. Dirty, broken blinds stained and dirty furniture , crumbs on counter tops. Dust everywhere. Icemaker water dispenser broken so we had to go buy ice and water. stovetop half broken and caked on gunge burned on top. Insufficient glassware. Dirty dishes no kleenex or extra linens provided. The ac/ heater system so full of dust it set off the smoke detector. There was no internet despite it beng advertised. This place was probably great 20 years ago and now is mismanaged and a huge disappointment. Wouldn't rent anything managed by Vacasa again. They were not responsive at all and clearly just looking to make a quick buck by renting stuff cheap to keep steady inflow of customers.

Hello,
Cleaning could have been much better. Toilets, floors not cleaned well. Multiple lights were out in the unit which was frustrating when trying to get out the door early without waking everyone. Primary shower was backed up within seconds and so you had to shower in few inches of water at feet. Wifi Never worked after n umtippe attempts to connect, unplug/plug router.
Overall, great location, amenities, very comfortable beds!, But due to above issues, would stay in a previously renters property over this one next year.

This is a great location if you are wanting to be away from the summertime crowds of Lake Tahoe 24/7. We visited in July, on a Monday-Thursday, and the location was very peaceful. It's just a short drive to Lake Tahoe and to Truckee.
This condo was clean and well furnished. The king beds were super comfy, and my son says that even the sofa bed was comfortable. The kitchen appliances all worked well, as did the clothes washer/dryer combo. Dishwashing tabs, laundry detergent, and toiletries were supplied.
There were just a few items that looked worn/damaged and could be updated (the wood blinds and the screen door), but otherwise everything was very nice.
My sons enjoyed the pool at the rec center! My 11-year old especially enjoyed Euro Snack, a crepe/gelato restaurant. We went everyday. The staff was super friendly! We also ate some very tasty pizza at Rubicon pizza.
All staff at this resort were very friendly and helpful. A representative from Vacasa remained in touch with me over our stay to make sure that we were happy with everything. I couldn't figure out how to work the TVs, and the Vacasa rep provided an excellent suggestion. (I'm not tech-saavy and didn't realize I had to use one of the HDMI settings.)
If we come back to the area, we will stay here again!

Northstar is very pleasant and convenient to the greater Tahoe area.

Terrific ski in out in spring
Perfect location for boarding and skiing with two small kids. Accessible to northstar village with very little crowds. The condo itself had all the basic amenities so we could enjoy quiet and intimate dinners at home as well as take advantage of the small number of restaurants that were open. Great spring skiing and fun for everyone. There are also hiking trails, heated pool and hot tub as part of the experience.

Great Property
Perfect location in the village, just a 2 min walk to everything. The unit was perfect for our family. Spacious bedrooms, updated bathrooms, lots of storage, fully stocked kitchen and all-around comfortable. Highly recommend. (Everything was in proper working condition for our stay).

Great home and location!
Would give 4.5 stars if possible. Only small complaints are no locker is provided for skis and WiFi instructions provided were totally wrong requiring us to call property manager for assistance.

Great location.
Nice view of the skating rink and overlook deck. Great afternoon sun. Small but pleasant balcony. Perfect parking in the garage. Unit is quiet and clean. Very comfortable with two separate bedroom/bathroom units. Perfect for two couples or for parents and kids. Gas fireplace very easy to use and elegant. Minor quibbles about light on top of the dining room table flickering and not being usable, dishwasher out of order, tv too high to be watchable without a pain in the neck. Overall, a most enjoyable stay. We would rent it again with pleasure and hope we will get to do it.

Great location
This condo is ideally located for a ski getaway. Very comfortable for 3 of us. It’s well-used (and the dishwasher was broken) but the ease of the location made it just right for our short stay.

IN the village at Northstar, but broken dishwasher
We stayed at this property a couple of weekends ago for three nights. It is in a great location and was in okay condition. It was more spacious than other 2 bedroom / 2 bath units we have rented in the past. On the down side, two issues arose, and it took me 35 minutes waiting on hold, AFTER texting and sending emails, to get a customer service rep. The dishwasher was broken, which is NOT how I want to spend my vacation, and the guest safe for securing personal items was not available to us. We had no where to lock our laptops, mobile devices, jewelry and other personal property while we were skiing all day. When I asked if the dishwasher could be fixed, the customer service person said a repair or replacement was scheduled for a few weeks out and that "the previous renters had just destroyed the dishwasher" and that "someone was supposed to notify me before I arrived." I thought it was tasteless to quickly blame the previous renters and claim it had just happened on the day of our arrival. By the looks of it, the dishwasher had not been in working order for a while. They did give us a small refund for the inconvenience. I don't think I will rent through Vacasa again.

Perfect location in Northstar
This condo is perfectly located in the village with view of the ice skating rink. The underground parking and elevator was a real plus. The unit is in good condition other than the broken dishwasher. Would definitely stay again!

Beware-who are you renting from
I made my reservations through VRBO. Without knowing, it was managed by Vacasa of which I had 0 familiarity with. My selection of the unit was based on location and timing. It was in the village so after skiing and wanting to change and get ready for dinner, we were told our unit would not be ready till 4:30. 4:30 comes and i get to my unit and the cleaning team has just arrived. Would could not get access and basically had to sit in the freezing temperatures waiting for our unit to be cleaned. Communicaiton was minimal, no local number or contact. Team at East West that manages other properties did an excellent job trying to help.

The property was great - truthfully advertised and great for skiing, just walk out the door and walk to the lift line. The property manager was terrible - called in a broken dishwasher, and they never did anything about it, although they said they would. We had to wash dishes the entire time, which you don't want to do while on vacation...and this is just not sanitary during Covid times...

VACASA MANAGEMENT
The location is wonderful but the actual unit needs some maintenance. The dishwasher wasn't' working before we arrived, but we were not made aware of this until we tried to use it. I was told parts were ordered and hopefully it would be repaired before we left - didn't happen. With the current The master bath shower needs better cleaning. There is obvious mold in the grout which makes it smell musty. The mattress are very comfortable but the sheets OMG are so scratchy and the pillows almost all flat. The leather couch is in need of retirement as well because the cushions are flat like the bed pillows.
