About this house rental

This charming historical home with cozy finishes and amazing location, will be your perfect getaway to Lake Michigan! Recently renovated for our families vacation cottage, this getaway has everything you need to enjoy a home away from home. We are located one block from Kids Corner and two blocks from the blue stairs on the South Beach. The beach is only a 3 minute walk away! It is also just 6 blocks from the River Walk, shopping and dining in South Haven's Historic Downtown.
This quaint two bedroom cottage features one large bedroom with a king size bed, while the second bedroom has a double over double bunk bed with a twin trundle. The cottage has been well stocked with bikes, books, games and toys!

We loved our stay in South Haven at this property! The house is beautifully decorated & clean. It had many things to make our stay easier; a fully-stocked kitchen, beach chairs, umbrella, books, toys, etc. The location is very convenient to the playground and the beach. It is also walkable into downtown. Would recommend!

Our family enjoyed our stay in South Haven. The house was the perfect size for our family of five. The front porch was a lovely spot to sit and read and play games in the afternoons. The host was very kind and responsive. Michigan is a treat!

The cottage was exactly like the pictures. Very nicely decorated and perfect. We enjoyed relaxing and catching up with each other. We made frames out of our mom's jewelry. Can't wait till our next trip.The only things missing was handrails on the deck and to the basement.. Otherwise PERFECT

My wife and I stayed in the cute place for the weekend to get away. The house was wonderful and a great location for us. Short walk into town for entertainment and dining, slightly longer and more relaxing along the beach. Very much enjoyed our stay her, and would definitely come back.

We stayed here with our 18 month old for a quick anniversary weekend getaway and it was delightful! Perfect cozy little spot, ideally located just a few blocks from the lake and Kids Corner Park while still close to town. Very clean too and easy to check in. It was the perfect spot!

We had a fantastic stay in South Haven. We fully recommend Marion’s home. No kidding, this home is 2 blocks from South Beach and Lake Michigan. You can see the lake from the property. We drove into town, went to the grocery, and never got in our car again until we were loading up to leave. All the places we went to dinner were a short 15 min or so walk. We used Marion’s bikes and beach chairs too. We saw amazing sunsets every night at the end of the street and a blue super moon from our deck one night. We enjoyed coffee every morning from the front sun room. It’s a beautiful home with lasting memories of South Haven.

Great South Haven cottage for a beach vacation. Easy walk to the beach and the host provides beach chairs, sand toys, etc. The house was tastefully decorated and very clean. Host is very responsive. Only downside was the spotty WiFi; it kept dropping me randomly requiring me to manually reconnect. But that's minor and we spent most of our time at the beach anyway. Overall would highly recommend this place!

Great location, family friendly, bikes were the best part! Just an FYI- there is a grill but they don’t supply the propane so keep that in mind. We loved our stay here, we have stayed in A LOT of rentals, we will come back to this one. Clean, stocked, spacious.

This is an adorable small cottage in a terrific location. We pretty much parked the car on arrival and walked everywhere during our stay. The place is well equipped. Enjoyed coffee in the morning on the front porch & relaxing on the deck in the evening. Looking forward to our next trip.

Location was perfect to walk to the beach & watch the sunset every evening. Marion was a great host and very responsive. We enjoyed the use of the bicycles and relaxing in the enclosed porch. The only drawback is not having the outdoor grill ready for use. Otherwise, everything was great!

We loved and cherished our stay! The cottage was absolutely adorable and stocked with everything we needed. The “kids” room with the bunk beds were even stocked with a variety of children’s books making bedtime story time more fun with new stories! They had a cabinet full of games as well that we enjoyed as a family. The location is just blocks away from the lake, so we were able to walk and enjoy the sunset even if it was in our winter coats! Highly recommend ❤️

A really great home, great location and great owners! Home is bigger inside than you think, and it is clean and bright and worked very well for my family. We went during winter, so we didn't use the deck or porch, but they looked great and the street the home is on is quiet and well kept.

This charming little house was perfect! Cute, clean and perfect location. Just a short 1 & 1/2 block walk to the lake and a couple minutes drive to down town South Haven where there are lots of cute little shops and restaurants. There is also a large playground less than a block away. This little house had everything we needed and the property manager was very easy to work with. Beds were super comfortable & plenty of linens provided. Check in and check out was a breeze. We will definitely be staying here again.

The home was just as described and hosts were very responsive - we only reached out to let them know when we arrived and checked out. Beds were super comfy and house was stocked with books and games. This was the perfect rental in every way! The location was great - walking distance to parks, the beach, and even downtown! The house was more spacious than I expected from the photos, and was nicely renovated while still have some of its original charm. Everything in the house was well stocked - the kitchen, toys & games, books & magazines, bedding / blankets, towels, beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, life jackets, laundry machines & supplies, and even a garage full of bikes! Aside from food, there was no reason for us to have to go to the store. We had a 16 month old in our group, and the black out curtains really helped create the perfect environment for his nap and bedtime. We definitely hope to return!

My wife and I stayed for a week at the end of summer. The house is very clean and was perfect for us. It is only 2 blocks to the beach and the house is well equipped with beach equipment like chairs. We really enjoyed spending time sitting in the front of the house on the porch which has windows/screens. The hosts are great and very responsive. Our trip was great and so is this house! We highly recommend the house and are looking forward to renting it again in the future.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this gem of a cottage in South Haven. The location is three blocks from the lake which makes it ideal. The cozy cottage is nicely updated with much of the homes original charm in tact. There are places inside and out to relax, read, and recharge. The cottage comes equipped with two televisions with many viewing/streaming options provided by the owner. The kitchen comes with coffee maker/toaster/microwave/cooking equipment along with plates/glasses/utensils. There is also dining space inside and outside. The cottage definitely lives larger than its’ square footage due to the smart use of the outdoor space. The owner was excellent to work with and was highly responsive with questions and requests. I highly recommend this cottage!

This was our first time to South Haven, MI and we are wondering why we haven’t came sooner. It was absolutely amazing and the cottage was the best. We have two kids 3 & 5 and it was the best house and best location. It was loaded up with games as well. We would come back and stay here again. The house was 2 blocks from the best playground, and one more block was the beach. You could walk to town but it’s a little farther, we preferred to drive (2 min) and park near the beach. From there we could walk right on the beach, there was a little shop with ice cream that we hit up frequently, and then a little farther was the cute town. We preferred to access the beach here as the access near the playground was steep stairs…. And there was even a playground in the sand. It was super kid friendly and so much to do that we never ventured to another town. The beaches definitely felt like “Florida beaches” and the kids had a blast. Marion was an excellent host and was super accommodating and punctual. She was super easy to communicate with and made sure we were having a great vacation. We can’t wait to go back.

We absolutely loved our stay in this well kept, nicely furnished, kid friendly cottage. The location was perfect!! With 2 young kids, being close to Kids Corner and the beach was ideal for walking to and from. Marion was very responsive and helpful. Simply put - it was just a wonderful place to vacation!!
