This cabin did not disappoint at all. The pictures do not do the cabin any justice. It’s very big and spacious. Jamie was awesome with communication and the cabin was not hard to find and is in the center of everything. I would definitely book again and look forward to booking it.

The cabin was amazing! It’s just what we were looking for, close but not in the core Pigeon Forge area. Easy to getaway from the craziness. The hosts were fantastic with communication and got back to you on anything very quickly. This was the perfect place for a nice getaway!

Our family loved this cabin! Between the indoor pool and the movie theater we didn’t leave at all our first full day. The kids loved the area too. We took a walk one day and the surrounding woods were just beautiful. The location was ideal too. We were close enough to go to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge for some attractions but not so close that we had to deal with crazy traffic and crowds. The hosts were also super kind and dry responsive. We will definitely be back!

My family and I enjoyed such a relaxing and enjoyable thanksgiving at this home. From the moment of booking up until after checkout, communication with the homeowners was so quick and clear. The home was in a quiet and safe area. It was only about 35 minutes from the gatlinburg area which allowed for plenty of entertainment when our family wanted to get out. Honestly, the home was so stocked with games, movies, fast internet, pool, and lounging areas, spending time in the home was the most enjoyable part of our vacation. The home was stocked with plenty of starter packs of cleaning items, kitchen pans, towels, it was a smooth transition. We could not recommend this home more!

Overall everything about this place is amazing it is so relaxing and plenty to do around the cabin it’s close to gatlinburg as well the games and theater and pool were awesome my kids loved every minute of it they didn’t want to leave they were already begging me to plan another trip the day we left we will definitely be coming back it was very clean just over all amazing if I could give it more then five stars I would thank you so much for an amazing weekend.

The property was fantastic. The decor and cleanliness were exactly what we hoped for and the owners were amazing with communication! Hopefully will be staying again in the future!!

Great cabin with lots to keep you busy when not out and about.

We had the best time while visiting this beautiful home! Very clean, lots of things to do to keep the kids busy, the owners really did think of everything to have to make the stay comfortable! We even extended our stay we loved it so much. Not too far from things to do, and not too close, so still peaceful and quiet at the same time. The owner was very helpful and kind and always responsive to any questions we had. We will definitely be visiting again!! Thanks for having us!

We had a fantastic stay at Big Dipper Lodge. The home was very clean and setup beautifully as soon as we walked in. The kids loved the pool and movie theatre and the adults loved the pool table and hot tub. Can’t wait to book our next trip!!

Loved the Big Dipper Lodge. Wonderful house with tons of amenities. The first floor bedroom was a perfect for my older parents. Tons of room to spread out.

The house is breathtaking. Very clean, comfortable, and so much fun stuff to do. There were days we just wanted to stay in and enjoy the pool, hot tub, pool table, foosball table and theater room instead of going into town. Communication with the owners was prompt and professional. I highly recommend staying here.

We enjoyed the off the beaten path cabin and quietness. The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. We were initially disappointed that there wasn’t any Mountain View because of the tree growth, but quickly lost that once we got settled. We were just 2 minutes from a Dollar General for the quick trip for thing forgotten. The private pool was an added bonus.

Good place to stay

I rarely give 5 star ratings, but everything about this vacation was perfect! The beautiful cabin, the indoor pool, very efficient communication with the owner, the quiet solitude when we needed it, the reasonable drive to area attractions, etc. Most rewarding of all- each family member said they had fun and want to stay here again!

This house was everything we wanted and more! The owners were thoughtful with every amenity you could imagine. Not to mention it was the cleanest house we’ve ever stayed in. The pool and hot tub were the perfect temperature. The beds comfortable. And the owners very responsive and nice. When we stay in the area again, their cabin will be at the top of our list!

We liked the theater room for movies, and relaxing. Cabin was clean, and felt like home.

The house was in a great place for our family- close to some awesome hiking trails but not too close to the crowds. The pool and hot tub were fun and my kids now want a theater room at home. Great vacation spot!

This house is great. It has plenty of space. Our kids loved the pool and theater room. The hot tub was great as well. We enjoyed the pool table. The location is perfect for going over to the National park for hiking and not too far from Gatlinburg. We did find a wonderful breakfast place near by, Janice’s Diner. Best biscuit I ever had. Cash only but they have an ATM. We would definitely return to this cabin!

Loved the cabin, had everything and more !!!!

We really enjoyed the stay. But we were only allowed 8 people as they had cameras and strongly made sure we knew they would evict anyone over 8 people. There was at least room for 10 people. If they increased their number we would probably stay there again but we were unable to bring our whole family as our kids are getting older and some have significant others that would come but see were told no. Even though there was plenty of room. We also felt like They constant watched on their cameras. My husband was looking at the fire bit and suddenly I get a text that there was a burn ban and we were not allowed to have a fire or use grill. Even though at least 4-5 cabins around us had fires going with the perfect weather we had. So not sure there was truly a burn ban but we went with it. This place could be a great place if the owners ease up a little. We found a cabin around the exact same size (actually a little less room) but allowed 12 people just down the street once we got there. Last suggestion, I would add a rail to the side of the movie theatre steps near the door. It’s easy to miss that step on the second row of chairs. It could have peen a perfect place for our family with those few changes.

Our family stayed for a Thanksgiving getaway. Everything about the property was great! The pictures don’t do it justice. The kids used the indoor heated pool daily, the adults used the hot tub nightly, and the family celebrated lots of football together in the great movie room. We did venture out away from the property a couple times. Great hiking trails just minutes away, and Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge a pleasant 30-45 minute drive as well. Booking and communication was a breeze and the property was spotless. Well thought out and plentiful furnishings, so much we were able to cook a full Thanksgiving meal by only having to supply the groceries. 5 Star property any family should be able to enjoy without regret!

Our stay at this beautiful cabin was absolutely perfect! It had all the amnesties we could ask for and more. The communication with the property manager was excellent, the cabin had EVERYTHING you can imagine, and it was located in the perfect location. There are so many positive aspects about this wonderful cabin that I could list, but to name a few: *The beds are SO comfortable! Each bedroom has its own bathroom, too, which made it super nice and private for each person. My husband and I stayed on the first level and our kids stayed on the second level, which they enjoyed since it contained the media room. *The MEDIA ROOM.. this was our favorite place to hang out, watch movies, watch Sports Center (football games), and have a quiet place to do our devotion in the morning. I want one of these in my own home now! ;) *The location of the cabin is perfect… No steep hills to climb and although it was located in a neighborhood setting, it felt as if you were by yourself because of the space between the cabins and the trees surrounding each cabin that offered privacy. *Although we didn’t use the pool or the hot tub during our stay, it was so nice to have these extras amenities available. We used the room upstairs (hot tub location) as another space to have quiet time (coffee and reading) and a place to enjoy the view. The trees are changing colors this time of year and it was absolutely beautiful! *The pool table is located on the first floor and it was something we enjoyed as a family. The great thing about it’s location is it provides the opportunity for everyone to hang out. It’s not located in a separate game room which kept us together as a family rather than having the kids in a game room while we were in the kitchen or den. *The decor, seating areas, and everything about this cabin has been well thought out and perfect for a vacation getaway in the mountains. There are so many more things I could list, but overall we give this great cabin a 5 star rating from start to finish. It will definitely be a place we will revisit when we travel to TN again for a vacation. Thank you, Jaime, for the great communication and for allowing us to stay in your beautiful cabin. I absolutely loved this cabin. The rooms were amazing. Hot tub was great and so was the pool. We had a little bit of an emergency and Jamie was great to work with. He allowed us to have two co-workers come stay after their flight was canceled at no extra charge. We will be booking this cabin again.

The lodge was beautiful, had a great time in the pool, the pool table was awesome. The only thing I wish was different was the hot tub the room had a musty smell and I had to shower immediately after because I smelled like mildew. The owners provided everything we needed, soap, dishwasher liquid, laundry detergent etc. I can't possibly say enough about how wonderful it was.

really liked the cabin community, having other cabins around and still having privacy was nice, made the nights more comfortable rather than some other cabin stays were your all alone in the middle of nowhere

The cabin was just like the description. The owner was easy to contact via text and when we had a question about the media room he answered us immediately. There is so much to do at the cabin… media room… billiards table and swimming pool … that we did not even mind when it rained one afternoon!

The pool was bigger than it looks in the pictures. SO much fun! Clean and well-stocked with everything you need, including soaps—shampoo, laundry soap, etc. Also, you can’t tell in the pictures, but the couch in the loft folds out into another bed. The beds were super comfortable. We had 3 kids and 5 adults and everyone loved this house!!

We had a wonderful time staying here! We had ages 50 to age 4 and everyone enjoyed this cabin. From swimming, to hot tub, to the comfy seats in the movie room it was perfect. The beds all slept so good, ac and fans kept everyone cool at night even though it was July! Jamie was wonderful helping me get the surround sound (operational error) working even though they was traveling and it was after 8:00 pm he called immediately and walked me through it. When we come back to TN I will base our trip around the availability of this cabin.

We had a great stay at the Big Dipper. The cabin was very clean and the amenities were fantastic. I would describe it as better than advertised! The kids loved the indoor pool and theater room.
