Pros - - Easy access parking, not many steps to get into home - Good interior layout - Well equipped for guests with children Cons - - Downstairs carpet was heavily stained - Downstairs toilet was broken after owner assured it was fixed (see previous reviews). Thankfully there are two other bathrooms!

Overall the property is just as it is listed. It was quiet and had a pretty view. It is 1.8 miles from the resort but it was an easy and quick drive. It is spacious and the games and foosball table was nice for the kids. We struggled with getting the hot water to be consistent, especially if more than one person at a time took a shower. In my opinion the cleaners could do a better job getting under the beds and couches and shower curtains. The host was super quick to respond when we couldn’t find the welcome book with all the instructions in it for turning on the water. (Someone has taken it apart and put it elsewhere). I would stay there again as the extras, location and spaciousness make up for what is lacking.

We had a terrific visit over Thanksgiving weekend. The home fit our family (6 adults) perfectly...there would have been room for more. A couple of small hiccups. Internet connection wasn't working, but a quick call to our host fixed that. One of the toilets didn't work properly, but we were able to make do. Thanks for a wonderful holiday weekend!

Toilet broken in one bathroom. Dining chair broken. Was not informed that water heater was shut off, so we awoke on Saturday to cold showers. House sleeps 10, we had 7 but only enough dishes for 8. A bit problematic. Despite these problems we enjoyed our stay

Our family traveled from Michigan to Virginia for our son's wedding. The home tucked away in the woods was the perfect location for our stay. The drive through the mountains was beautiful. The house is easy to find and close to All the Resort activities. Though we had no time to enjoy the resort, we thoroughly enjoyed the house. The big kitchen accommodated our group for meals. Kim was a great host. She got right back with me if I had a question. I highly recommend staying here if you are coming to the area. BTW October is an absolutely beautiful time of the year to be here.

We enjoyed our stay! It took a long time to get off the mountain to any of your sites/stores, locations you wanted to go adventure out to. It was quiet! The views were awesome! Even saw a bear on a walk.

We liked the property but had some issues. Specifically, there were 2 TVs and neither of them worked. This was unfortunate since we had rain all 5 days we were there and being able to use the TVs would have made things better when we were rained in.

We had a wonderful location for skiing at wintergreen. Plenty of space with the basement for adults and kids. The kid toys were an added bonus!

We loved our stay here. It was a winter wonderland for our Christmas vacation. Cabin is amazing. It is perfect for a family reunion. Kitchen is well stocked. Everything we needed was there, super easy check in amd check out and great owners!!!!

The property was clean, but needed some amenities such as a coffeepot and a working toaster. If you go, take hangers, as there were very few in the closets. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The lamps needed bulbs that worked. There were very few places to put your clothes, such as a chest of drawers, so we had to live out of our suitcases on the floor before one of us bought hangers. There were no baking dishes or dish clothes and towels. The kitchen needs to be better stocked.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had plenty of space for 8 women. However, I gave the property a 4 out of 5 for cleanliness because there was a very strong musky smell in the basement and everyone that stayed in the basement had allergy symptoms throughout the weekend. This may have been because we were the first to use the property since the winter and the air was off. I would recommend an air purifier for the basement to help with the airflow. Other than that, the property was beautiful!

It was a smooth process. Key was hanging on front door and no waisting time to go to check in and that was great since we got in late. Only thing I suggest for improvement is to have a garbage tote at the property. We didn't have a good way to take it to the dumpster.

We loved this house. It was so comfortable for our extended family group. The layout was just perfect - a big family room, comfortable bedrooms and a nice kitchen. It was extremely clean too. We also love the hiking trails in Wintergreen. We’ll definitely be back.

We enjoyed our family reunion in this quiet, natural setting! The bedrooms were comfortable and let us work out sleeping arrangements for one grandparent, three parents, and four grandkids. We had a good time swimming at the nearby pool; the pool passes weren't there when we arrived, but our email and text got a quick reply and we easily sorted it out. The internet and cable went down on the last night of our stay and without cell service on the Verizon network we couldn't call or email about it, but the time away from screens wasn't unwelcome and meant the house's board games and puzzles got more attention.

The location and set up of the house was perfect for my extended family. Lots of room in the basement for the teens. Table was awesome for family game night. Pool and golf amenities are there but no real directions at the home to access them. Internet went out due to storm and owner was quick and very helpful to call the company.
