Celebrated my 50th birthday with family. 9 adults 7 kids. Plenty of room. The house and property were beautiful. Everyone loved it there and loved the views. The coffee bar was a big hit. Hope to stay again.

We booked Apple Valley Chateau for our extended family of 14. The property was clean and exactly as pictured. There was plenty of space for eveyone. The extra amenities such as soap, toilet paper, shampoo, and such was very much appreciated. We had plenty of dishes and cooking utensils so we ate all our meals at the house. Sarah was quick to respond to my calls/texts and checked in to be sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area.

We found a very lovely home that had a view of the mountains which was what we wanted. I was very happy about the condition of the property. I was afraid it would be worn looking because it was rented to families which hard on property. We loved our stay. My only recommendation would be to add a hand rail right under the mirror on the downstairs. It would have made an old lady feel more comfortable entering the stairs because there is not much of a landing.

The house is located on a picturesque hillside in Apple Valley and was extremely easy to locate. With amazing views for miles and plenty of spacious rooms, our family enjoyed our first reunion ever with everyone present. The 5, 6, and 9 year olds loved the playroom in the loft while everyone else took advantage of the front porch, back decks and relaxing living spaces. Our first morning there we spotted a black bear in the front yard. What a treat! We had some rain during our stay, but the result was a stunning double rainbow over the mountains directly in front of the house. Our family played golf, gem mined, had a epic ping pong tournament and hula hoop contest, did a Lake Lure boat tour, visited the Flowering Bridge, picnicked and hiked at Chimney Rock. Grandma, Grandpa and the little ones visited the colorful bears in Hendersonville, had lunch at Hotdog World and ice cream at Harry and Piggy’s while the rest of our group were horseback riding in Pisgah Forest. Our youngest ones were thrilled by the Fairy Garden at Burlington Gardens which was very close by. Sarah answered all my questions both before and during our stay and was easy to contact. We will definitely refer friends and family to this stunning and comfortable home and hope to return again ourselves. Thank you, Sarah.

We had 2 grandparents and 3/3 children/spouses for a total of 8 adults; 13 yo teenager, 4 from 4–11 and 3 under 2. House had a great playroom in the loft. Fun room for adults to older kids in basement. Kitchen well stocked on a beautiful piece of land.

This house was amazing for our family. The owners are nice and very responsive.

This house is beautiful , pictures don't do justice. Big enough for a large family like ours or up to two or three small families. Location is perfect , only 15 mins drive to Hendersonville and 35/40 mins to Asheville, close enough to restaurants and supermarkets and far enough to enjoy mountain life. Three vineyards at 10/15 mins away , all with nice views and of course good wines that I was surprised. 30 mins from Red Stag Grill , the best restaurant in town. 40 mins from Biltmore Estates. We had so much fun that we are thinking to go back , hope soon. Absolutely recommended !

Our family had a wonderful time at the Maxwell Mill property. We had 3 families and had so much space to spread out! My boys enjoyed the video games in the basement and the swings outside. I could sit on the front porch and take in the view for days. At night we really enjoyed the fireplace on the screened in porch. Thanks for a delightful trip!

Incredible experience! The house is just perfect and works absolutely perfect for a larger group. The fact that the upstairs bedrooms have their own En Suite is a game changer. The master bedroom is gorgeous and well equipped. The view is beautiful and makes for a great place to have your morning coffee. Sarah is great to work with. We communicated well and I appreciate the fact that she was so accommodating! Our daughter got married nearby and the house just made things so much easier Thank you Sarah. ❤️

Graduation celebration weekend for daughter who went to UNC Asheville. This house was a perfect fit for folks of all ages. Was nice to stay and not go anywhere!!

From check-in to check-out, we had a great stay! Appreciate the friendliness and responsiveness of the owner. Only hiccup we had was running out of hot water (not sure if tankless systems are an option here?!), but that's what happens when 12 ladies need to shower after running for 12 hours!

House is spacious with several amenities making the stay fun for children and adults. Screened in back porch with functional fireplace was nice for the evenings. Our children enjoyed exploring the fairly expansive property as well.

This house was amazing. It offered beautiful views and the quietness of the mountains. The house has bedrooms on three different levels, which allowed for our kids to stay upstairs, while the late night owls stayed on the bottom floor. The hostess is so very kind! She kept up with us and we felt very open to communicate with her if we needed! Definitely worth staying at this property! 10/10!
