About this bed and breakfast
Spacious and private Palm Cottage (520 sf) is in historic downtown Tarpon Springs, walking distance to the world famous sponge docks, located just blocks away from breweries, restaurants, and the Pinellas Trail. And the beach is only 3 mi away! The cottage offers king and twin beds, Wi-Fi, Fire TV, kitchen w/ full stove and fridge, coffee maker, toaster, pots, pans, dinette, and shared use of the back yard of our 120-year-old Victorian home.
The cottage is private, and the yard was designed to feel like a tropical paradise. Palm Cottage has a private bistro set, great for having a cup of tea or coffee and enjoying the outdoors.
Palm Cottage offers Florida beach town life at its finest. You can rent bikes nearby at Neptune's or Tarpon Tom's. You can rent kayaks or water bikes at Fred Howard. There are dolphin tours, museums, restaurants and so much more within walking distance. Or just hang out in the back yard with a beverage and unwind.
Tarpon Springs was founded in 1876 and thrived for decades on the industry of sponge diving. Now, the town has so much more to offer than sponge diving, but the rich history remains. Palm Cottage is located downtown in a residential historical neighborhood just a few blocks from Tarpon Ave (our "Main Street"). The main home is 121 years old, and the surrounding homes are historic as well.
We chose Tarpon Springs for its walkability. If you need rides to or from the airport or anywhere else, we have a driver we would be happy to refer you to. The Jolly Trolley is a great public transportation option. There's also a 46-mi bike trail one block away, with rental bikes close by as well. The beaches are a short bike or drive away.
If you need a ride to or from the airport (or anywhere else), we have a driver we can refer you to.
*Complementary mid-stay cleans with linen change are available for 2-4 week stays. Just schedule 3 days prior.*

Cute little place, in an amazing neighborhood. Able to walk to alot of places. If you want to go somewhere that not close. Take the jolly trolley!! Had a wonderful time at the Sponge Docks!! Alot of different little shops, awesome restaurants, and leave the best for last amazing bakery Hellas Bakery!!

Very cute antique type decor but that resulted in no comfortable seating for watching the tv. The king bed was way too soft. Shower was great. The courtyard area was beautifully landscaped but was way too hot to enjoy. It was very quiet. Lots of rules and warnings that made us nervous we would do something wrong and be fined.

This was a perfect place to stay for its convenience to everything. The room was clean in a quiet neighborhood and super cute. Planning on renting this space again when I return to Tarpon.

Our stay at Palm Cottage was a perfect 5 day vacation. The cottage was equipped with everything you could want. It was spotlessly clean as well. Hosts were not around but responded immediately to a few requests like more coffee and beach chairs. I am looking forward to staying here again as the location is perfect for sponge docks, beaches, and restaurant. I recommend this property with no reservations.

Very clean and comfortable. For some reason, probably my own, we did not get an address of where we were going until an hour before we arrived. I did reach out for the address several times, so the start was a little stressful for us. No fault of the owner but the smoke alarm went off in the middle of the night, indicating battery needed replacement.

Was a nice little spot, could easily walk into the old town area.

Visiting with son and grandson. First time in area … visited sponge docks and had full day at honeymoon beach , kayaking & swimming . Had a great time . Much too short. Location was ideal and accommodation cozy.

The location was perfect for our purposes, within walking distance of the conference we attended. There were a few minor things which we noted with the owners (no dish towel or sponge, facial tissues, or convenient surfaces in the bathroom). Overall it was a great stay.

We always look for places that provide a sense of restoration. Palm Cottage met that requirement fully. An oasis in the midst of a city. So close to the shops and restaurants that you can walk yet the court yard allows you too listen to the birds along with your morning coffee. This is a “go too” place.

This is a charmer. I loved the proximity to downtown Tarpon Springs, the sweet and safe neighborhood and the walkability of it all. Lauren, the property manager was very responsive and helpful. It was all that I wanted in a home away from home. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay at Palm Cottage. Exactly what my small family needed.

Highly recommend! Walking distance to a lot of restaurants. It was nice to park the car and not have to worry about having a few drinks. It was a bit of a hike to the sponge docks (around a mile), but really no big deal. If we would have been super ambitious we could have walked 2 miles to the beach but we opted to drive. Well worth it. I hope to come back again!

Palm cottage in Tarpon Springs was the perfect place for us. We came to visit family in the area, spring training baseball, and the beach. We know the area well, and the cottage was centrally located to everything we came to do. Our favorite part was the peaceful, tropical, shared outdoor patio area. We had our coffee (provided) on the patio every morning. We sat out there after returning from Honeymoon Island and after walking around the sponge docks. We saw other travelers that were staying in the other cottages. Everyone was friendly, but we still felt like it was our own private space, because Lauren and Aric provided little areas for each cottage. The cottage itself, was very clean, air conditioner worked well, the bathroom shower was great, and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was completely stocked with anything you might need. We would love to return next year to your peaceful paradise. Thank you, Nancy and Owen

This was our second trip to Florida and our second stay with this host. I had made a miscalculation on our travel time and did not account for our flight arriving at 6am. After checking the sites availability, and a quick message to the hosts, we were able to add on an extra day. They were awesome to work with.
The property was clean and comfortable. It was exactly as advertised. We would definitely stay here again.

This place was perfect for two people who wanted to eat and drink too much in Tarpon Springs. You can walk downtown. There is an Oyster Bar restaurant with quality live entertainment two blocks away as well. The unit was perfectly clean and supplied. I am also an owner so I know how to judge a good vacation rental. I would recommend it.

Quite cute cottage, clean, well appointed, had everything I could possibly need, even sun screen. Comfortable bed. Walking distance to shops and restaurants downtown and not far from sponge docks. Beaches 10 min drive, sunset and Fred Howard park. Challenging to find in dark but directions given very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Great weekend getaway.
Would recommend this property to a couple or a couple with one child. It's close to everything happening in Tarpon Springs and very quiet. My only complaint would be that if you want to watch tv at night, there are no comfortable chairs.

Superb Location. Wonderful Studio
You can't beat this location. Clean. Very easy to check in. Hosts on site when I was there and very very nice and friendly. They don't get in your business at all yet it was nice to meet them I thought. Pros: location - so close to so much-great restaurants nearby and coffee and nearby trails .Sponge docks very close and Howard's and Sunset beach a very easy drive. You seriously can't beat this location. Just some nitty gritty details: I would recommend a cutting board (maybe I missed it) and a small sauce pan. I was there for work so I did use the kitchen each night but you seriously could eat out each day you are here cuz so many nearby yummy restaurants. Very comfy bed, excellent ac, ceiling fan a bonus. plenty of storage for you clothes. Cute bathroom and wonderful shower! I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!

The Palm Cottage was quaint and had what we needed.
We had a bit of a hard time with directions locating it as we arrived late and it was pretty dark. We were told to look for a purple house ti turn for parking but you couldn't see the color at 1:00 a.m. the back yard was dark to figure out the house lock. It just took us a bit of time. Never had used a lock with a code. Otherwise everything was fine.

Excellent. Met our needs very well for a months stay. Clean and comfortable. Great access to Pinellas trail for biking, etc. Number of brew pubs very close by; high on our importance list. Number of parks in vicinity for biking/hiking. Fred Howard park for beach and plenty of golf courses nearby.
