Great Accommodations in a Lush Tropical Location 🏝️

Yes Papa is an adorable hotel in a tropical paradise! Located within walking distance of the main street and a gorgeous beach, our room was two stories with a kitchen/sitting area on the main floor and an open sleeping area upstairs. An oscillating fan is provided. Caleb and Jacquelyn are gracious and accommodating hosts, helping us with questions and travel woes such as a forgotten towel and ice. You can enjoy a cozy bar in Yes Papa, walk to a number of local restaurants, or easily access incredible excursions. If you’re looking for a peaceful spot with enjoyable hosts, Yes Papa is a great experience! Highly recommend! If you’re a fussy traveler, choose a place with a less rustic touch. Yes Papa es un hotel adorable en un paraíso tropical! Ubicado a poca distancia de la calle principal y una hermosa playa, nuestra habitación tenía dos pisos con una cocina/sala de estar en la planta principal y un área abierta para dormir arriba. Dispone de un ventilador oscilante. Caleb y Jacquelyn son unos anfitriones amables y serviciales, ayudándonos con preguntas y problemas de viaje como una toalla olvidada y hielo. Puedes disfrutar de un acogedor bar en Yes Papa, caminar a varios restaurantes locales o acceder fácilmente a increíbles excursiones. Si estás buscando un lugar tranquilo con anfitriones agradables, ¡Yes Papa es una gran experiencia! ¡Muy recomendado! Si eres un viajero quisquilloso, elige un lugar con un toque menos rústico.

Very nice and sweet hosts, made us feel welcome and helped in any question we had, thank you😊 and its just by the beach!

We got the economic double room, unfortunately it can be very hot, although just like everywhere else. The wifi does not reach the room, but the common areas yes.

Not worth the money

Good location, close to the beach and restaurants. The staff was accommodating my request for reimbursement when the water stopped working and I had to leave.

Even though the water outage was not their fault (street was being demolished) other places had emergency sources from tanks as it is apparently common. This hostel had only one emergency tank outside the room and the water was infested with parasites (visible inside, swirling around like tiny black looking hairs). Also, there was a construction going on next to my room. They were hammering walls so much that a wall paint flakes fell on my pillow from the ceiling. So overall, coming back from a whole day hike to no shower, water with parasites and workers pounding the wall next to you, it was a very bad experience overall.

The two owners are incredibly nice and helpful, they could answer any and all questions and had great recommendations. The room was spacious and clean, the bed comfortable.

It is similar to a lodge experience, very close to the natural beach and forest but at the same time few steps from the restaurants, markets and bus station. The golden sunset light goes straight into the room through the panoramic window. The enviroment is relaxing, calm and partially exclusive. The managers are very kind people too and really help you to feel like at home. The location is perfect, and Las Galeras has still a lot of nature to explore compared to similar locations. From the hotel you can walk to Rincon beach trough the hill and the farms that luckily have not closed the path. Another nice destination is Boca del Diablo from where you can hike to Fronton beach through a very cool forest sourranded by palms exotic vegetation and ocean. The place is never overcrowded (for now) and merchants are not aggressive. You'll be able to get your space and relax with nature. Absolutely raccomended.

We loved the location and loved the views from the room out across Las Galeras. The room was well located within walking distance of the town centre, restaurants and places to hire bikes, snorkels and everything else.

We had some trouble getting accurate information about how to get to our next destination via bus. We managed in the end however the hosts weren't quite sure how to do this.

the property was basic but very clean and in a great location. The owners are very personable and helpful.

The mattress was hard and not very comfortable to sleep in. It would be great if they can invest in comfortable mattresses in the near future.

careful with the day trips hired at the beach

La ubicación, la tranquilidad y alejado del ruido. Está a 5 minutos de la playa.

The house is great but keep in mind that if you want to hire an excursion to Fronton, Madama o Rincón, DO NOT DO IT with TWO BOYS that are at the beach, they are called Louis (nickname: Rambo) or Georglin. Their specialty is to convince you to do the trip with them for certain amount of money that in the end changes. In my situation the police (politur)had to handle the situation because it was not fair, and they most of the time support the tourists, so don’t be afraid to ask for help. DO NOT PAY MORE THAN 2000 pesos for the three beaches. Talk to Juan or Alejandro at the beach next to the boats and they will for sure give you a good deal. I paid 1500 pesos for two beaches and we were only 3 in the boat. Don’t let them rip you off. Apart from that, nothing bad to say about my stay in Yes Papa!

A wonderful, affordable stay in Las Galeras

I love this place! Lovely French owners that would do anything for you. I stayed in the 'panoramica' room with a 360 degree view of the town. There is a pretty garden to sit and there is good wifi if you have to do some work. Very close to the beach and a good value overall. I would definitely stay again the next time I am in Las Galeras. We felt like coming home

This beautiful Hostel is in the cutest village with really nice people, we always felt safe here. The beach is only 5 minutes walking away and there are a lot of good options to go out to eat only a few feet away! 😊We stayed here over a big hurricane and were really scared because we're not used to tropical storms. The really lovely owners always made us feel safe and helped us with everything we needed, after some time it really felt like coming home which made it so hard to leave. This was our favorite spot all over the Dominican Republic and we would always come back here!🌸🤍

Amazing place run by a very nice couple, who were really helpful and kind. Both the room and common area very really nice and comfy. Delicious breakfast. Very close to Playa Grande and a short walk to La Playita. Staying here was one of the highlights of our trip.

No proper door to the bathroom. You can't have the ceiling light and fan on at the same time, however since you got 2 table lamps this was mostly not a problem.

Nice stay at Yes Papa

Veronique was very friendly and helped where ever she could. She gave advice for the best beaches and how to reach them and offered to do the laundry.

The street is quite loud. You can hear some bars until late at night and the motorbikes as well. But this is basically in every hotel in the town.

The hostess is amazing: thoughtful, understanding, and very friendly. I really felt like at home. The hospitality was just beyond words. We had a light room with big windows and a lot of natural light. It's a spacious room so really comfortable even if you're staying with someone. The vibe of the hotel is really chilled. You can enjoy a delicious breakfast, listen to relaxing musing, and converse with the hosts.

The hotel lacks a nicer view from the room. We saw only the road and a neighbour's yard.

The room was very hot! Small old room. The bed was extremely hard and Uncomfortable. We found 3 Cockroaches in the bathroom on several days. It all old and poor maintenance. No parking, parking on the street.

Amazing owners, great value for money.

Amazing owners, very nice and always ready to meet you needs and make the stay good. Cozy house and room. Spacious room and confortable bed. Very close to the beach and restaurants. For the price, it's very very good.

Noise and sound cancellation are not the best. If the room doesn't have a/c (mine didn't), beware of hot nights if you have trouble coping with heat.

Lovely owners , close to the beach

The distance to the beach is very short , the owners are super super friendly . They treat you like family ! The breakfast is amazing and the rooms are very spacious and clean !
