Endroit calme.

Centrally located. Good atmosphere.
Nice people.

Erg vriendelijk personeel trouwens.

Zimmer geräumig, Bad in Ordnung.
Abendessen war immer sehr gut, aber 25$/Person etwas überteuert.

Rooms were beautiful and unique. Amazing location close to the city and to most outdoor sites. Meals were ABSOLUTELY worth it. Best food on the island.
I was envious of the rooms with hammocks but honestly everything was pretty wonderful

hosts were helpful and kind. the young kittens made the ambiance even better.
prices for beakfast and dinner were quite high but comparable to the city of Roseau.

We loved the way Cocoa Cottages operates. They integrated natural elements and beautiful artwork into the rooms. Very whimsical. We also liked the communal dining and the staff was top notch. Met people from several different countries. Dining away from Cocoa Cottages at night is risky if you are unfamiliar with the roads. The food was delicious and fairly priced. I also loved the swinging bed on the patio overlooking the rainforest. So beautiful!
Our particular room (Fou Fou) was closest to the road so we heard more car noise as compared to others. However, we loved our beautiful room as it felt very private.

Wonderful location. Great balcony with swing. Friendly hosts with good recommendations on things to do.
More toiletries are always appreciated (shampoo, facial tissues).

Unique Ecco style and position with friendly helpers and the communal dining was nice with great home cooked food
The room we had was very small although others were much better. It is on the corner of road so our room in particular suffered from some road noise

We had a wonderful stay at Cocoa Cottage. The rooms and surrounding garden are beautiful, the staff are warm, friendly and professional, and the meals are delicious. Breakfast and dinner are offered in a social environment: we had some great conversations with fellow travelers and the hosts. The location is convenient - close to Roseau (but far enough that you're still in the forest), and close to several excellent hiking trails as well as hot springs. This is an ideal place for nature lovers. Rooms are luxurious and beautifully decorated in a unique style. We would definitely stay there again!

An amazing location- just in the middle of the nature. A great place to relax after some adventures in Dominica. We wish to stay longer there.

Communal dinner
Large decorative pillows with no regular pillows to use for sleeping. No cover sheet on bed. Rooms right on loud road. Only metal roof with no insulation that amplifies the rain.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Cocoa Cottage and I must say, it was a unique and memorable experience. One of the highlights of the stay was meeting other travelers and having dinner together. The atmosphere was perfect for socializing and making new friends.
While the facility is surrounded by nature, it can be a bit noisy at night with all the sounds of the jungle. However, it adds to the ambiance and makes you feel like you're sleeping in a rainbow. The bed was comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. The view from the cottage was breathtaking and truly added to the overall experience. It is the perfect place to stay for 2-3 nights and explore the surrounding natural attractions.
The breakfast food can be improved.

Location and room was lovely, cute cats provided great entertainment, lovely staff and good food.
Food was a little over priced.

Amazing location, with your own transport, that is. Some of the staff were lovely, some downright surly.
For the amount you pay, a modicum of luxury could be expected. Our room was ok but the chairs were extremely uncomfortable and the cost of the breakfast and dinner was way over the top for what you got.

Cocoa Cottages is located in a beautiful part of Dominica with easy access to the falls and trails as well as into Roseau. The rooms are beautifully apportioned and there is a real sense of being in the heart of the rain forest. The people working there are just amazing.

Lovely place in the rainforest and its noises :)
Nice food and lovely mood, a great place for meeting other travelers
My room was a little noisy because near the road, but with ears plugs it's fine

Absolutely loved Cocoa Cottage, truly integrated with the forest. The area is gorgeous, surrounded by nature, and the lodge is super well designed and decorated. I didn’t have a car and found easy to get the buses, hitchhike and just walk to some of the attractions. Very comfortable four-night stay, to the extent that I wanted to stay more but couldn’t because it was sold out. Sylvie and Shanisa were super kind and welcoming! Dinners were delicious btw, all super tasty.
The breakfast is overpriced for what is offered, and dinner is a bit expensive too

The room was very pretty. The bed and linen were very comfortable and the bed had a mosquito mesh so we slept comfortably. The view from the balcony was amazing. The cinnamon soap was a nice touch. The staff was very friendly and helpful, particularly Guy who went above and beyond!
The basic room I initially got did not have a view or a balcony but I was able to upgrade it at a little extra cost. The hot water was way too hot and it was not possible to mix cold and hot water so we went with cold showers. The food was too expensive so I ordered pizza only once.

Charming set of cottages, each with a unique style. We had lovely breakfasts thanks to Shaunisa and fantastic dinners thanks to Sylvie. The grounds are gorgeous and there are comfy swing sofas on which to enjoy the green, lush view. You are literally surrounded by the sounds and views of the rainforest. The owners, Oliver and Tanya, are charming and are working on their little river and river bank - once completed I'm sure it will be even more idyllic.
Perfectly located to reach both Roseau and the large attractions... also literally just around the corner from Extreme Dominica.
A lovely stay.
If you can, try to get the tree house or one of the cottages below it. We had a separate one that was really nice but groundlevel and not as high up as the others. Still, great stay

The dining area was cozy and the cottage’s proximity to Laudat attractions were perfect!
Can be a little noisy with road traffic.

Cocoa Cottages is a great ‘concept’ and we were really looking forward to our stay there. The location is good - surrounded by nature but also with easy access (by car) to Roseau and many popular attractions. During our stay at Cocoa Cottages we visited Trafalgar Falls, a great experience where we climbed to the foot of the falls and swam in the hot and cold pools.
We had read from other reviews that guests received a warm welcome at CC however this was sadly not our experience.
We were grateful to Guy (the chef) for making some delicious food for us - he was also very friendly and helpful. We also really appreciated him accommodating food allergies. Breakfast on our first morning was excellent and we really enjoyed trying local produce.
Our check in experience was poor despite arriving at the agreed time. We were left waiting for quite a while and when shown to our room we were given very little information about the accommodation of local area. We were presented with a handbook which was helpful but there were no staff available for us to chat to about recommendations etc. shortly after we checked in, there were no staff at all on-site - this meant that several guests who arrived after us were left waiting for up to two hours. This felt really unfair, particularly as they had arrived within the published check in window.
In terms of food, we ate at CC both nights. The food was delicious and Guy really tried to make us feel welcome - a definite positive of our stay - however the price felt excessive for the quantity of food. $25 for a vegetarian meal (main course only) or $35 for a main course containing fish. As a result, very few guests ate at CC meaning there was no real atmosphere/ambience - this was a real shame is we had heard how sociable a place CC can be.
Similarly, the website/listing on booking.com suggests that there are lots of areas for guests to relax/get together. This was not our experience as the lounge area was full of laundry and not accessible and there was no outdoor shared seating area. We hadn’t opted for a room with a terrace as we thought that there were communal spaces available to guests.
Breakfast on the first morning was excellent - a real feast of local treats! We were looking forward to this again on the second morning but we’re disappointed to have a totally different experience. The lack of consistency was a real shame.
It seems that CC are undergoing some changes in terms of staffing/structure and regrettably it looks as though this is impacting on the consistency/quality of service they can provide. For several hours a day there are no members of staff on site, meaning guests are stuck if they have a problem.

It was a perfect retreat! Annalisa helped us in getting our lost luggage and had the most soothing demeanor. We stayed in the tree house which was beautiful. Fresh homemade pizza on Sunday some of the best you will ever taste!

The bungalow in the middle of the threes is amazing. No doors, only nature and yourself.... Quiet place, all made with wood and nice materials; the place you need if you want a real break with the world.
Hour host made everything for making our stay the most pleasant as possible.
I thought I booked the bungalow in threes but we first had a bungalow in front of the kitchen (first night) which is absolutely not private and noisy. I recommand to be careful about which bungalow you book, especially if you are a couple and need privacy.
