First off the property manager, Brian, was extremely friendly and made the check in process super easy. The house was cute and the beds were comfortable. We stayed for 2 nights before we got on our cruise in New Orleans, and basically just slept there, as we were out and about during the day/evening. As others stated we did notice the floors being soft but I attributed that to the climate. We also didn't have any problems with noise from the bar next door. Our only complaint was a leak with the toilet, and because of that the bathroom had a strong odor. For us the house served it's purpose, and we would probably stay again for a quick trip.

So this was my first time ever to rent and i was a little skeptical and nervous about doing this, bit im glad i did! I walked in and the first think i noticed was that it was super clean and the home looked just as it was presented. The home was decorated adorably and when we walked in it felt welcoming. The beds were quite comfortable and had pleny of pillows the linens were all white so it was visibly clean, as was the fridge, stove and bathrooms. Contacting the host was not hard to all and he was friendly. I loved the location. It short walk or drive to the beach and close to everything. The restaurant selection was diverse
without having to drive to far.

Similar to other reviews, the floors are not stable. They bend under your feet. Also there are seven separations in the floor boards. The bathroom was not clean. The hand towel in the bathroom was filthy. There were lots of spiders and cobwebs. The beds were nice and slept well. The location was great.

The property was close to the beach, a good walking distance. We stayed with 6 kids and the fenced in backyard was a plus for our dog. The beds was super comfy ! We will book again ! 😄

This was a great place for us to stay with our family. The home is so warm and comfortable, really could not think of anything more that they could have provided. And the host didn't leave anything to chance - great communication and care that we had a wonderful stay.
We had concerns from an earlier review, but are glad that we contacted the host and he assured us that all your questions were addressed. Thanks Brian

First impressions says everything. When we arrived the house is located next to a small town bar. Wasn’t a big deal they were only loud one night out of 3. The carpet on the front porch hasn’t been cleaned and has dog poop on it, grass was overgrown. The biggest issue was the house wasn’t clean at all. Bugs, dog hair and everything it was awful. We reached out to the property manger and told him we wanted a cleaning crew to come out it was so bad. Cleaning crew came while we were out and only thing they did was mop (we swept when we got there it was so bad). We never got contact after the coming crew was finished or anything check in afterwards on how everything was afterwards. We do not recommend staying here if you have kids, the flooring in the bathroom feels like you’ll fall through at any moment. There were 4 beds all the same size and decent but we had to change the sheets on 2 of them when we arrived. We would’ve found somewhere else to stay if we had a choice but being a holiday weekend nothing was around. Please don’t do it!!!!!

We had a great time! Nice little house, but would be kinda cramped with a big party. Close to the beach and some great restaurants. If you're a golfer I would avoid Bayou Vista course, it was in really rough shape and next to the sewage plant. It was cheap though. Brian was great, he checked in on us and was responsive to a couple questions I had. We would definitely come back.

Brian is awesome! It was the perfect spot for me to chill, read, catch up on artwork, and be with my pup. Nicely decorated, in the heart of a lot, but still feels secluded. I would 100% return!

Close to the beach
Positives: you can tell someone spent a considerable amount of money to make it look nice, it is a close walk to the beach
Negatives: the house was in such poor condition when we arrived, it was not safe to stay there. The floors were so soft and breaking that we were scared someone would fall through them. The property manager moved us to another property for 2 nights. Repairs were minimal but we were told that they had nowhere else for us to stay, local hotels were pretty full, so regretfully we returned to the property. Floorboards were still coming up, floors were very soft and a huge tripping hazard. There was a 1/2” gap between the bottoms of the walls and the floor in some areas, letting in bugs from under the house. Furniture (such as beds) were obviously broken by previous guests and put back together with screws and 2x4 lumber. Kitchen had cockroaches (which they obviously knew since we found traps and spray under the sink and in cabinets), yard was unusable as it was almost knee high and was not mowed the 8 days we were there, tried to run the dishwasher and it leaked all over the floor. I took pictures of everything, I would not recommend anyone to stay in this property

Beautiful Rental House
5 adults and 4 kids stayed in this house. It was great. A home away from home! The walk to the beach was only a few blocks. It was clean when we arrived. Owner was very quick to respond to my messages. Only downfall, was there are soft spots in the floor, so we made sure to show the kids to stay away from the spots. This was WAY better than trying to stay in a hotel for a week, & much cheaper! We definitely enjoyed our stay, and will recommend this air b&b to anyone who wants to visit gulfport!

Cute cottage
House was cute, beds were comfortable. Neighborhood bar next door but no issues. Dishwasher leaked shower heads feel in tub twice and the barn door feel down almost hit me. Floors were very weak and air conditioner could not keep up. Back yard was fenced in but grass was high. Very close to beach and restaurants was a plus.

Quaint bungalow near the water
Check in was a breeze and the property was clean and comfortable. The fenced back yard was definitely a plus, as was the closeness of the beach, markets, restaurants and other recreation opportunities, such as a children's "discovery center." There's a lot to do nearby. If you are going for gaming, however, the casinos are not close. Regardless, this was a good value for a family of four with kindergarten age kids.

Retreat at the beach
I chose this property for a work retreat that took place online. My family and I truly enjoyed our stay. The walk to the beach was pleasant, and the location to other things in the area was ideal. The house itself was a cozy spot that felt like home away from him. I would highly recommend this location for families looking to getaway.

Rental
The property manager was super friendly. The house itself was a bit of a let down. We evacuated for hurricane Ida and needed a place that had electricity and plenty of space for our family. This fit the bill so I booked it. The house floors were slanted and some boards were coming up. The refrigerator was dirty and still had food inside. The blinds were all torn up in most of the rooms, the closet doors were too long to shut completely and it was not as clean as we are use to when renting a vacation home. The sheets and bedding were clean and the place served its purpose for us, but if we had rented it for a vacation get away we would be very disappointed to say the least.

Overall A Good Experience
The cottage is nice and has quick access to the beach, a very short walk. The only concern I had was the neighborhood. To be completely honest we had no issues with anyone there, however, some of the locals warned that it can get a little noisy and loud at the bar beside the home but we didn't find that as a concern. We were there through the week so I can't say about the weekend nightlife. Overall I would gladly go again even with these things in mind.

Coastal Cottage: a great little getaway
We truly enjoyed our stay. The property manager let us know that he’d kindly given the cleaning crew the day off for Mothers Day. (So kind!) The property was exactly as advertised & decorated very lovely! Everything was readily available & very comfortable. A close walk to a nearby beach too! Quiet Neighbors. We are Looking forward to staying again.
