YellowBird is our renovated home welcoming guests with vacation vibes on private, friendly Woodridge Lake, just minutes from Litchfield County’s most charming small towns and ski resorts. Only 2 hours from NYC, 2.5 hours from Boston and 10 min from Litchfield village green.
Savor gorgeous views and privacy with 150 ft of DIRECT LAKEFRONT with western exposures where you’ll get long afternoons followed by perfect sunset views over the water. You'll discover the lake is exceptionally well-cared for and has a great energy but without the crowds since there is no public boat launch and no jet skis allowed.
There's so much to do within minutes! You can explore Litchfield County's state parks, hiking trails, farms, fall foliage, covered bridges, vineyards, antiquing, golf, great restaurants, cultural festivities, plus skiing and snow tubing (Mohawk Mountain 10 min, Ski Sundown 20 min, and Butternut 45 min).

-Five bedrooms with new luxury mattresses and bedding allow your family a great night’s sleep.
-Enjoy access to the deck and lake views from the main floor bedroom and ensuite with sauna.
-The 5th bedroom also serves as an office.
-The fully equipped kitchen is designed for preparing fabulous meals whether you choose to dine at the long table inside near the fire or outside at sunset.
-Sun, swim and fish from YellowBird's private dock and lakefront. Plenty of beach chairs to spread out and relax.
-Seasonally and with a TWO-WEEK minimum stay (HOA rule) you can have access the community club amenities which includes access to the clubhouse, fitness center, heated pool, eight tennis courts (4 clay, 4 hard), four beaches and community planned events/concerts throughout the summer. (requires 2 week minimum and $125 fee)
-Get out on the water with our stand-up paddle board, two kayaks and canoe.
-Feel yourself relax into vacation mode and get ready for a great time.

This was one of the nicest houses I have ever stayed in. It was just beautiful and comfortable. Everything was super clean, the beds were really comfortable and the view is spectacular. I would totally recommend this house to anyone looking to get away. I wish we could’ve stayed longer. Hosts are lovely and left us chocolates and wine. I’ve already sent this house to friends of ours to book for a getaway..

The homeowner was so gracious to extend our stay for an additional day due to a change in our plans. This was tremendously helpful. The lakehouse is perfect, very clean, and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Thank you!

The house was charming and spacious for our family. The views of the lake were stunning and we really enjoyed the outdoor area. Sitting by the firepit listening to music and enjoying the scenery just chillin was something we all loved. The area is nice with plenty to do but we really didn’t need to venture out much because we had everything we needed right there. The beds were very comfortable. We loved our stay and can’t wait to go back. Also, Jen and Raj were very responsive and great to deal with.

Book it! The house is even better in person and the view and amenities are top notch. The hosts thought of everything to make this weekend trip for our family so perfect. Beautiful decor, comfortable beds, lots of space, games, firewood, a wine cooler, stocked products in the bathroom and kitchen. Even a pack n play and a baby gate - as a mom of 3 it was amazing to not have to pack these. Something for everyone of every age. The host was very accommodating and responsive. I can’t say enough about this experience!! Book it!

Wonderful property! We had a big family Thanksgiving with great sunset views, corn hole games, puzzles and card games saunas, and PacMan! The place had enough room for us to spread out, and the view never got old. Loved the luxury bedding in my room and the fact that you could either use the top sheet or just the duvet! Would love to come again.

Spent a recent weekend at Yellowbird to celebrate a family milestone. The house was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. We had no problem communicating with the owner, who always responded to us quickly. If the occasion rises, we would definitely return.

If you're looking for a quiet peaceful getaway in Connecticut, this is it. Beautiful lakefront property, on medium sized private lake. Very little boating traffic, perfect for kayaking, paddleboarding, rowing, swimming, or lounging. Water clear and warm (but not too warm). Blue herons always perched somewhere, this time saw a bald eagle, too.
House has everything you need, PLUS sauna and outdoor shower. Really great getaway - felt a million miles away. Host was terrific, everything was EASY.

The design of the house and grounds offered so many options throughout each day of our stay that it really felt more like staying at a resort than a house. We moved around the property all day, finding sun or shade and different views/seating styles as needed. It was fabulous to have so many thoughtfully designed choices! Plus, the host Jenn responded so quickly to questions both before and during our stay - honestly quicker than response times at most hotels. Loved every minute of our stay and would go back in a heartbeat.

We loved our stay at Yellowbird. The house is gorgeous and well equipped for all your needs. We had 3 families and there was plenty of space. There is even a pack and play at the house if you are traveling with a baby. We went to the house in February to ski at Mohawk Mountain. The mountain is a quick, easy drive from the house. The views of the lake from the back deck are amazing. I am sure this place would be fantastic in the summer. Thanks for a great week!

Great space for a large group. Our family loved the home and property. The deck, hammocks and the chairs by the water we so relaxing. Comfortable beds. Only a few used the sauna but they really liked it. Out door shower was very nice. Lots of wood provided and shampoos, games, puzzles, books and plenty of tvs. Pretty much every detail was thought of. We all really enjoyed our stay. We had different friends come for a day visit and everyone thought it was a great spot.

The location can’t be beat- amazing view of Woodridge Lake and so close to the towns of Litchfield, Bantam and Washington. Perfect spots indoor and outdoor for relaxing!

I can't say enough nice things about Yellowbird. First of all it's in a super beautiful wooded neighborhood, with tons of privacy. You cannot see your neighbors, however you CAN see a fantastic view of the lake. It's profoundly gorgeous, and the kayak/canoe made for some fantastic boating and fishing. We played cornhole and sat around the firepit, sipping fantastic blender drinks (they have a Ninja!) and playing guitar without worrying about bothering anyone. The house itself was clean and comfortable and very well-equipped. Great kitchen, with a wine cabinet. They also have subscriptions to all the online streaming services, and a fantastic Sonos sound system. Really comfortable bedrooms and nice bathrooms too -- and Jenn was super responsive and kind. Honestly no complaints at all; we can't wait to come back!

Our family of nine (seven adults and two kids) had a very good time at this property. The description of amenities and what the house and location have to offer are all spot on.
The owners have really through through all the various needs of a group of folks who want to relax and enjoy a vacation on a pristine and private lake.
The kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms were more than adequate for our group - it was easy to cook meals in or drive about 15 minutes to grab a bite to eat in the closest town.
All of the lake toys - kayaks, paddle board, canoe - made water fun really easy and enjoyable. Recommend you bring your own water floats and toys beyond what is listed, however. Swimming and fishing in the lake were highlights for our group.

What a great vacation house! We are an extended family of 8 adults and 7 young adults (age 16+) and this house was perfect for a week's stay. The house is super well appointed and has everything you would ever want and/or need. Great indoor and outdoor spaces, fully stocked kitchen and several different living spaces to hang out (and separate when needed)! Would recommend this property without reservation!
And I should mention that hosts were very responsive and helpful!

It is a beautiful lake house that is exceptionally clean and well maintained. We've stayed at a lot of different properties and yours definitely stand out. We've really enjoyed the space outside with the family. The lake view is breathtaking! Having private access directly to the lake is amazing. The host did a great job taking care and maintaining the property and very thoughtful on all the details and items provided in the house. It is a really nice experience for the whole family!

From booking to check out, Yellowbird does not disappoint! Jenn has truly thought of everything and set this house up with every amenity you could imagine. We have stayed in many home rentals and this house by far outshined them all! The bedrooms were spacious, comfortable, tastefully decorated. Again, if you need any amenity from antacids to spices, shampoo to board games- Yellowbird has it all!
You cannot beat the view, even though it rained our whole trip no one complained about being cooped up inside with such a stunning view and accommodation. Goshen is a bit off the beaten path, but Jenn provides you with a great guide for things to do in the area.
We traveled with two infants and were impressed by how child friendly the main floor is. There are few sharp edges and the stairwells can be closed off with a door. Not something we often think about but when you have two little ones it makes a huge difference to know they are safe outside your home.
We cannot wait to come back to Yellowbird again- BRAVA Jenn!

An added bonus, given the Winter season, was the close proximity to the ski mountain Mohawk. We would love to return either next season, or even one Summer!

Great house!
Recently stayed here for a long weekend. The property managers are extremely responsive, provide helpful resources and are very thorough. The property itself is clean, organized and very well kept. The location is quiet, peaceful and serene. There is plenty of space in each room and the bathrooms are large. Highly suggest for a family get away!

Great lake house
We enjoyed our stay. It is very close to local skiing and other hiking options. House was very nice, well stocked (even firewood!) and hosts were welcoming and provided lots of info on area, things to do, places to eat etc. would also be a great lake house for the summer season on the lake.

We loved the main living room with huge TV, perfectly sized fireplace, high ceilings and amazing view. Every space was just the right size, actually. Anything we could possibly need or have forgotten was there. Even though it was winter, we still were able to enjoy the exterior of the property. The grounds help give the house a secluded feel. Due to the low temps, we were even able to ice skate on the lake - a new experience for us all and one we won't soon forget. Finally, the homeowners were a dream to work with - offering lots of tips and advice for things to do in the area and places to eat. For once, I didn't have to do any research - it was all done for us! They were quick to respond to the few questions we had and were able to work with us to add a day to our trip. We all hope to be back to this property again one day!

Relaxing getaway
Yellowbird is a wonderful place all around. We had a lovely weekend getaway in this well maintained and updated home on a beautiful lake. Sitting by the fire, playing cards, and the comforts of the home allowed for some much needed relaxation and connection in a safe place during the pandemic.

Summer Getaway
Our family had a fabulous time at the Yellow Bird Lake House. We had all ages and there was always something to do. We kayaked, paddle boarded, fished off the dock, made s’mores and played cards into the night. It was the perfect relaxing getaway for our summer vacation. Everything we could need was stocked at the house. Plenty of towels for swimming and wood for the fire pit. We would definitely recommend this property. The owners are lovely and readily available. Great summer getaway!

What a wonderful stay!
Our 2 week stay at Yellowbird was absolutely amazing. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into this home - there are plenty of dishes, cookware, extra blankets, tons of board games, and multiple indoor and outdoor hangout spaces. It's like staying at a friend's house! We spent most days swimming in the lake, using the kayaks and stand up paddle board, grilling on the deck, and watching the gorgeous sunsets. With our extended stay we also had access to the club house which has a little beach, tennis courts, and a pool. The owners were very responsive to any questions we had, and we're already talking about going back next summer. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!
