We loved this condo!! The view was amazing and we could see the sunset from the lanai! Our first night there was the best sunset then entire trip and we got some amazing pictures! The location was convenient close enough to town to find great food and shopping. It was a 2 hour drive to VNP and about 1 1/2 drive to Hilo. Loved that we could go down to the water and even found some turtles on a few days. Only 1 minor complaint - the ceiling fans/light all operated on the same remotes so if my kids went to bed early and we didn't turn off the light in the master then we would turn on their light and master light would go off. Never figured that one out and it was a game to get all the lights off each night. Not a deal breaker for us!

Great condo, stocked with everything we needed!

We just came back from a 5 night stay at this beautiful, oceanfront condo celebrating my mom's 80th birthday. You will wake up and sleep to the sound of waves. Everything you need is at this condo- fully equipped kitchen, all the beach gear in the patio, extra linens and blankets in the bedrooms. The washer and dryer is very convenient to have. There is one elevator but we never had any issues with waiting or crowds. The beach is right below so my kids didn't want to go anywhere else. Super clean, easy access, and a million dollar view!

If you love to watch surfing this is your condo complex. Loved relaxing on lanai. Kitchen was stocked great for me with everything I could have ever needed, beds all comfortable, great pillows, even some beach chairs, snorkel gear, coolers, boogie boards etc. Vacasa was great to reach out and make sure we had all we needed, they asked if everything was in good repair at check in. This is where I'll stay when I come again.

The condo has a beautiful view and it is quite spacious. Being so close to the ocean, it’s quite humid inside and there is AC only in the living room. Some AC can reach the master bedroom if the doors are kept open. The small bedroom instead gets pretty hot. The condo was well equipped but the kitchen tools were not spotless and there is a strange smell a bit everywhere (probably because of the proximity to the ocean). The lanai could have been cleaner, especially the pillows on the sun beds

The condo is beautiful. The view off the lanai is more spectacular that even imaginable. There is a small semi-private beach just south of the building - perfect for relaxing and letting the little ones play safely in the water.

Nice property. Great views of the ocean and sunsets. Good location near Kona, but without the crowds. Loved our stay

Terrific experience. Clean property, strong Wi-Fi, awesome top floor views. Had everything for a family of four to enjoy a week-long stay. Would have loved a firmer bed, beach chairs, and more comfortable living room furniture, but all in all a very positive experience.

Within 1 hour of arriving to our condo we lost electricity. It was only our unit. The property manager was not reachable so we ended up contacting Vacasa. When the Vacasa rep arrived, he told us the breaker was corroded and we would have to contact the property manager in the morning to have it fixed. He did flip the breaker on but we were told not to use our air conditioner, fans or or anything that would trip it? The next day we ended up sitting around and wasting half the morning waiting to see if we would have working electricity. Again, we went through the same thing and they had to reset the breaker THREE times in one day. This was a huge inconvenience as we had no AC, no refrigerator, and could not do laundry (which was the whole reason we booked a condo unit with a full kitchen and laundry facilities, while traveling with a family ) Finally on day three we were told the Hawaiian electric company wouldn’t even touch the job and they had to call in a private electric company. It was eventually fixed toward the end of day three and we checked out on day four. We booked this trip one year in advance and over half our trip was sitting around, waiting for someone to fix the electricity so we could enjoy the condo. Terrible experience. We have been in contact with Vacasa many times to file a complaint with them telling us they will call us back and over a week later, after several more phone calls, we keep getting the runaround that someone will call us back and we’ve heard nothing! Terrible experience, and we will never booked through Vrbo/Vacasa again.

We booked this location in large part because of the promised views -- the pictures do not even begin to do it justice! We watched gorgeous sunsets nightly, drank coffee watching the morning surfers. There were 3 sea turtles in the tide pools right down the steps from the condo. My vision of being able to watch the surf hit the rocks from our bed was fulfilled. We could not say enough about the location!
It is close enough to town to only be a 10 minute drive from shopping and eating -- never had a problem finding parking in town. It's also just far enough out of town to be away from the noise and hustle & bustle -- the sounds of the ocean were overwhelming -- we even recorded it one night to play back at home.
The condo is well appointed -- great water pressure in the main shower. It looks as pictured.
Did not use the other shower or the front bedroom (twin beds).
The kitchen is really clean and has the basics -- we were able to find everything we needed to make breakfast each morning.
The only feedback I'd offer is that the towels & sheets are basic hotel quality (as it is managed by VACASA) -- so maybe not as nice as at other rentals. And the ocean is hard on outdoor stuff -- next time we might go to Costco to grab new beach chairs.
We will be back & are planning our next trip.

This place was perfect for our family get away. We could watch the surfers and the sunset right off the balcony. Would recommend to any friend.

Condo was as advertised, easy to get to and parking was very convenient. Only complaint is it was very difficult to get ahold of anyone ahead of the rental, I emailed almost a week before the trip asking what beach amenities were there and the only response I got was someone asking me what condo I was talking about, after replying I received no answer to my initial question. Other than that it was pleasant and a great experience.

Great location on island. Beautiful view from balcony. Enjoyed watching surfers directly in front of room. Futon doesn't sleep 2 people due to size. Front bedroom stays hot all the time. Kitchen has updated appliances. We enjoyed our Hawaiian experience!

Overall, this property is okay. The location is pretty good and it’s on, in my opinion, the prettier side of the island. I think the pictures make it look a little nicer than it is though. The building itself is kind of run down looking. The apartment has been somewhat updated. The biggest complaint I have is the air conditioning. I specifically rented a place that had air conditioning, as I know that there are quite a few places on the islands that do not. This unit has one wall air conditioner in the living room. This was sufficient in cooling the main area and one of the bedrooms, but the second bedroom was sweltering hot. My kids had a hard time sleeping in that room. One cool thing about this place is that you can watch people surfing all times of the day and night. It wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t great.

Kona Bali Kai Stay
Beautiful location, clean accommodations, although I have to say - our unit was entered multiple times without any communication to us about it. Seemed to be for maintenance type things but still left us feeling really uncomfortable and like it was invasive.

Beautiful ocean front condo
Condo is on the ocean with breath taking ocean views and we loved listening to the peaceful sound of the waves at night. The condo provided everything that we needed to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Location with Amenities
This unit is nicely located towards the south end of the property providing some great beach views from lanai. We also loved the hill view especially at night. The beach chairs and umbrellas were provided but they were pretty much worn out. There’s also a boogie board available which we didn’t use but its a must do activity if going to Manini’owali Beach. We are hopping 3 islands and this is by far the best unit we’ve rented.

Beautiful home and views
Very clean, enough space for family of 4. Had a/c as it was quite warm. Views from private lanai are phenomenal. Very comfortable- would recommend! It’s about 2 miles from downtown Kona so we drove around just about everywhere. Beach is about 1 mile, walkable
