Saw lots of elk and some deer that just walked by our front window and porch. Very nice setting at the end of dead end road.
We have stayed here several times and even get to know the neighbors. House is as described and comfy. I would suggest a shade screen on the back door/window to keep afternoon sun out. Just a suggestion.

Clean and quiet in nicely wooded location. Comfy beds and linens with all your basic amenities including shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Couldn’t figure out the sound on the TV despite attempts and no directions for the soundbar but it didn’t impact our stay. Would def stay here again.

The cabin was cute, comfy, and well appointed. It was not far from the main road, but quiet and secluded. We saw wildlife, such as elk, every day just roaming around near the house. The location was excellent between Pine and Strawberry. We could not have been more pleased, and would definitely stay here again.

Even Better Than Expected!
Easy access to the property. Although my adult daughter and I arrived at 4 pm for a 3 night stay. It was light outside and welcoming to see the exterior lights on by the garage. She backed the SUV into the garage for easy unloading of suitcases, cooler. The house is so nicely decorated, very on trend with just enough decor to feel comfortable. The huge sofa in the living room was super comfy. a great place to watch movies on the large TV. The view from the dining room to the woods beyond was beautiful. The kitchen was supplied with nice appliances, coffee/tea pots, toaster. The entire home was sparkling clean and neat. Two bedrooms had plenty of storage/closets, wonderful easy to raise/lower shades, nice linens and bedspreads. I personally prefer a very firm mattress but I'm certain many visitors would enjoy sinking into the pillow top type mattress. The only thing I did wish for was a less glaring lamp by the bed in the primary bedroom since I like to read in bed. A similar lamp by the living room sofa would be nice to have, again for reading. The owners so thoughtfully had various night lights throughout the house, ideal for late arrivals or if you need to get up in the night. This property truly is a gem and I look forward to staying there again. Oh, a bonus was to see a huge femal elk ambling up the road on Sunday morning!

Perfection for a weekend get away!!! Would 10/10 stay here again.
Very clean, very comfy beds, had everything we needed!!! Really enjoyed the back deck in the trees and the big comfy couch. (We really needed a chill weekend!) Make sure you eat at at PIEbar and Old Country Inn for pizza. If you like craft beer, don’t miss THAT Brewery.

Great location, Super cute all the amenities that you need to have a home away from home.
I had a wonderful time easy access, absolutely beautiful scenery. The only hiccup was that the microwave didn’t work, I contacted the property owner by email as suggested. They never returned a message and the microwave never worked while I was there. But other than that it was a beautiful home and everything that you could possibly imagine was included. Close to hiking trails and easily accessible. A lot of the stores and restaurants were closed however during this time of year.

Beautiful Place
Spent our thanksgiving in the pines. House was beautiful and neighborhood was quiet and surrounded by pines. Saw several elk and hand fed a young one. They were literally everywhere. Absolutely made my day to have such a beautiful encounter. Had some trouble with the internet connection and the owner tried to have it fixed but the internet provider was unable to fix it during our stay. The owner graciously refunded some of our money for the inconvenience. We would definitely rent this home again. It was probably one of the nicest VRBO’s we’ve ever stayed at.

The house was beautifully renovated inside and well-stocked. The property is located at the end of a road, and we saw elk wandering down the road every day. We were happy to escape to cooler weather and enjoyed are stay very much.

Pine Retreat
Great two bedroom home at the end of a forested road with a morning parade of elk. This property is super clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Plus all the luxuries of home. We will be back!

Elk Fest
This Cabin has top shelf appliances, including an electric wine bottle opener and double oven. There are solar lights on fence and tree on back patio. So at night the bugs gathered away from the patio and around the light below. One morning a herd of elk (around 10 including 2 babies) walked down the street to gather underneath trees at end of street.

Cool Pines
Great two bedroom home with all the right touches. They provided wonderful toiletries and coffee.
Added bonus - 10 to 15 mom elk and their 4 month old little tikes.
Wonderful quiet location and fabulous deck to have morning coffee.

Best VRBO I've stayed at in years
We travel to at least 3 VRBOs per year in Payson/Pine/Pinetop and this was by the far the best VRBO we've seen in years. These owners have thought of everything, and the decor is tasteful and uncluttered. The cleanliness was so comforting and refreshing! The beds were fantastically comfortable.

Really nice stay
Just spent the weekend with a friend and had a great time. The property was in a beautiful wooded area with a fantastic deck with awesome views. We put out peanuts for the squirrels and birds and enjoyed watching them eat and gather. everything was super comfortable , from sofa to beds and appliances are all nice and new. large tv had netflix , prime and youtube tv which was great (had to sign in with my netflix account) we walked the neighborhood which was quiet and pretty and saw lots of elk chilling in the area. the owner didn’t respond to my emails but was prompt over text and kind enough to let us checkout late. Provided toiletries and soaps were really nice too! i recommend eating at bandits and ole county inn and getting coffee and treats at pine fudge. also love the little farmers market and popcorn and fresh egg vendors on the main drag. Overall 5 star experience!

The house was perfectly uncluttered, clean, and useful. My husband and I met our adult daughter for a fantastic week. No roughing it here (my kind of camping.) Two bathrooms and very comfortable layout. Furniture was comfortable and clean. Full sized new appliances in the kitchen. It backs up to woods so we enjoyed watching the wildlife from the deck and sliding glass window. We also loved the location. The tiny neighborhood is full of trees and home to more than just humans! Everyday we enjoyed seeing elk, deer, birds, and squirrels. The small town has a grocery store and a few places to eat. It is a 20 min drive to Payson for things like Walmart, more restaurants, and even movie theaters. The best part of the location for us was the ability to do day trips. We visited Sedona, the Meteor Crater, Phoenix/Mesa area. There is plenty of hiking pretty very close also.
