A nice, relaxing beach house
We went to Isle of Palms as a group of friends who hadn’t been able to really spend a lot of time together in the past 2 years due to the pandemic. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and bay during our walks. The pool is amazing, and it was so fun to relax by the pool 😊

Needs Improvement
Creature comforts overlooked: very dirty golf cart for which we paid x- tra, ice maker dirty, pool and pool deck not clean upon arrival, all bikes unusable( flat tires).
Number 1: every shower is an accident waiting to happen... no grab bars and slick floors except for upstairs master.
On a positive note, kitchen well-equipped, loved the deck overlooking pool, golf course.
Because weather was perfect, we had a lovely week, but felt sorry to pester property manager about problems.

Sweetgrass Stay
House was excellent, and had everything as advertised. No issues or concerns with the house/check-in process. Food and Beverage at the wild dunes restaurants was more expensive as compared to the rest of the island though the food quality was comparable. And two of the restaurants were closed or down to limited options on Saturday (still during their advertised business hours), would expect more for the money being paid.

Excellent
The house was very clean an comfortable. The neighbors were helpful and a pleasure to chat with. The only confusion was knowing if recycling was do to be out for pick up or not. I would suggest a calendar to help the renters out. Other than that, would definitely come back.

Everything was great with the house. The house on the right side alarm was going off the entire time we were there. Property Managers should look into resolving this issue.

Great house
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Yacht harbor. The marina is just a few steps away, and the beach a short spin in the provided golf cart. We had been to wild dunes before and were familiar with the area. Due to Covid we didn’t eat out and just stocked up at Harry Teethers which is a great store, as well as got take out from the Obstinate Daughter on Sullivan’s island. Their food is fabulous. Would’ve like to eat at the Boathouse.. maybe next time!
The house itself could not be faulted and very clean.. aside from the grill being very dirty but my husband wasn’t long giving it a clean to cook on. The house has everything you need .. although it would’ve been handy for them to supply a few extra trash bags and washing tablets. We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children under 10. There was initially another family of 4 to join us for a couple of days but Covid changed our plans. There was ample space for another family with the listed 4 bedrooms, and the double bunk also had a trundle, and I believe the sofa a tv/lounge room upstairs also folded out into a bed. So spacious.. beautiful balconies overlooking the pool and golf course too! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again in the future.

A nice last minute beach trip
This was a great house with private pool making it idea during Covid. A bit far from the beach, but use of the golf cart made up for this. We had a few small hiccups with the master bathroom plumbing and golf cart battery, it these were quickly addressed by the property owner.

What we loved about this property was:- Location! Right on the golf course with walking/biking paths everywhere. Paths right from the house to the marina-Plenty of space for my family of 5 adults and 1 French Bulldog.-Extras like a gas grill, a beautiful pool that we enjoyed, a golf cart, a Wild Dunes pass that allows us to golf, access to the club pool and other amenities, ability to park for free at The Beach House - gorgeous spot to hang out by the beach.- beds were comfy! What could have been better:- Golf cart broke down and stranded us for a bit. They replaced the cart within 24 hours.- The cable box didn’t work in the living room but we were able to swap it with one of the bedroom boxes until the local VRBO contact brought a new one.- there is a rug under the kitchen table that has a corner that flips over/sticks up and I believe each of us tripped at least once during our visit- not a deal breaker but disappointing was that there were 6 bikes in the garage but they wouldn’t allow renters to use them.Overall, we had a great time!

We enjoyed our stay. The house has good bones but some things are in need of attention. We understand that there are new owners and that some things, like the appliances, are being replaced. It was helpful to have the golf cart to go to the beach, but the golf cart is in pretty bad shape. It’s rusty and the step on the back is unstable. We enjoyed the pool.

Right off the bat, I can say at face value this house checks a lot of boxes for any vacationer. But for anyone reading this review, I HIGHLY encourage reaching out to the property manager to inquire if the following issues have been addressed, before putting down any deposit. For us, we had several minor issues, and 2 major issues. Just to list off the minor issues: Ice maker is slow, there is no TV in the "TV Room" upstairs, master bathroom had a bar of used soap in the shower upon our arrival, a few light bulbs were burned out across the house upon our arrival, the dishwasher was not properly mounted into the counter, and the smoke detector battery was low and woke us up at 6:30am one morning. For several of these issues (that could easily have been prevented), we had interrupt our vacation to contact the property manager to have someone come out and fix it. Mind you, this is also during the middle of a pandemic, when you'd ideally like to limit this kind of interaction. Moving on to the major issues we had, first, our use of the pool was limited to only half of our vacation, because apparently there was a "small electrical current" running through the pool, according to a repair man and the property manager. Despite the fact that the pool was the sole reason we rented this property, and couldn't use it for half the vacation, the property manager and owners gave us back a very small refund, that was not commensurate with what value that brings to the house as a rental property. Our second issue was that the downstairs A/C does not work effectively at all, and never got below 72 degrees. When we arrived, the A/C for both the upstairs and downstairs was actually locked by management, where we could not adjust it below 70 degrees. We had someone come over (again) and unlock both, and while the upstairs air did work perfectly, the downstairs A/C was just pitiful. There is clearly an issue with it, because other vacationers have posted similar reviews about it, but management has not done anything to fix it. All that being said, if all of those issues are fixed, I promise you will absolutely love this house. It's a great property, in a great area, but management need to get serious about ensuring renters get their money's worth.

Perfect and Peaceful
This house was perfect for our family! We spent our days at the beach and evenings in the pool. The location was peaceful and convenient to the beach with a short golf cart ride. We cannot wait to plan our next family vacation at IOP!

Great Stay
House is great, perfect location in wild dunes with great views of the golf course. We had a few minor issues with the pool and golf cart but were able to get those quickly resolved. Communication with the owner and Property manager was great. The only issue was the down stairs hvac - it was middle of July and we had a hard time getting the house below 72-73 degrees during the day. We would definitely go back again!

Great House Great Location!
I am going to give a 5 star review on this property knowing that it was on the market under contract. So I am unaware if this house will be available in the future. We would definitely rent this house again.
The private swimming pool and dogs allowed were the attraction to this house. It was a great benefit to have a fenced in yard with a pool. The pool was the best feature of all. We used it daily and a cleaning service came 2x during the week to clean and check Ph levels. Included excellent condition white bed linens and white towels. Great benefit as well. The house had 4 bedrooms all with private bathrooms and a half bath off the kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and dishes.
We kept 2 coolers in the kitchen packed with ice and cold drinks all week. This kept us from opening the refrigerator constantly. The house came with a golf cart which was used daily. We drove up to the Pavillion area and parked the golf cart to go to the beach. The house is situated on a quiet, beautiful neighborhood street. The back yard overlooked the golf course. If you walk across the street the houses overlook the water with beautiful boats. We enjoyed strolling the sidewalk there. The only negative is that the driveway is narrow and you can fit 2 cars under the house and 2 in the driveway. If you need to relocate a car, it was a pain to pull all cars out just to get to the front car. The guys played golf 2 days on the Ocean course and said it was beautiful. We did not eat out but did ordered food to go 2 days due to COVID. To the new owners -- only recommendation is to add a car pad area in front of the house and place a TV back in the small den upstairs. We did not use the den upstairs due to lack of a TV. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to use your house. Highly Recommend! 6 adults, 1 Toddler, 2 dogs. From Charlotte, NC

Almost felt like normal in this spacious house
We loved the backyard pool for outside safe fun with family who wanted to maintain distance. Kitchen was well equipped which was key because we didn’t want to eat out. Golf cart was so useful for getting to the beach. We found the perfect spot at the end of 49th Ave! En-suite bathrooms in every room! Loved our family vacation during trying times!

Nice Home, Short Golf Cart Ride to the Beach
We were pleased in this home.
Worked well for 2 families. Plenty of room and the house was nicely provisioned.
Pool is of a nice quality but on the small side. For kids it's fine for adults I'd call it a "float only" pool.
Beach access is not bad but not idea. You load into the car or golf cart, drive to a beach access and unload, and then park a block away from the beach.

Nice home. Good location. Plenty of room.
Good.

Great location and clean house
Everything on the VRBO description and pictures were accurate. The property manager was very quick to respond to any questions I had. She was very organized. It is a beautiful home in a wonderful neighborhood. Our stay was pleasant. Due to the weather, we unfortunately did not get to use the pool.
We did receive a welcome letter with check in information and instructions. It states in the letter to bring your own toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags. So if you are planning on staying here, make sure to bring those with you at check in, as there was no toilet paper in the house upon arrival for us and we had to make a grocery store run.
Also, while the welcome letter states the fridge is slow to cool down and not to add items too quickly to it; we are not confident it actually works as we had 1 gallon of milk in the fridge and it never got cold. Our gallon of ice cream in the fridge melted too as it did not meet the freezing temperature required.

Everything We Wanted!!!
The property more than met our expectations and is located in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. The Welcome Packet was very well done and included everything we would need to bring and how to leave the property upon departure. Our VRBO Property Manager, Beth, was very friendly, helpful, knowledgable and professional!! Highly recommended!

small issues, but great home.
We were overall super impressed with the property and location and are looking to go back. We had only 2 small issues, the golf cart quit on us when we were at the Resort, but it was quickly taken care. The pool at the house was cloudy when we arrived and we were unable to use it. We found that we used the pool at the resort instead, just a little inconvenience. The pool issue was related to the recent hurricane I am sure.
4.7
Great house!
Beautiful property with great location. Loved having the golf cart to get to the beach. The pool was great to have and it was maintained during the stay by a pool service (swept and filled when needed). Beds were comfortable. Washer and dryer was convenient. We would
Definitely stay here again.
