My family and I LOVE Marathon and KCB. Because of this, have been trying a variety different style properties on KCB for a few years now, to figure out exactly how to have the perfect trip. We have done giant homes, 2 story homes, condos, single story homes, and this setup was our absolute favorite with kitchen being on same story as the pool and bedrooms in the front of the house away from the canal. I highly recommend this place and would have given it 5 stars if not for the management company.Manament co.- First, we paid extra for the pool heating, which was confirmed with management. Upon arrival at 4pm, the pool was cold. I called promptly and asked them to come turn it on knowing office hours were coming to an end. They said they would send someone out asap, but no one showed and the offices closed. The next day was easter so i knew they would be closed. I chose to send messages through the app so they were ready to help first thing Monday. No one returned my calls or messages until mid next day, and when i got someone on the phone, they said "well you will have to pay for it, and we will only move it up 5 degrees." Regardless, i wanted the pool heated for my kids so i asked them to turn it on. They came several hours later and not only didnt discount my weekly rate or pro rate for the days missed, but charged me more than the agreed upon and published rate.Second, on wednesday the internet and TVs went out. I called the management company and they told me to reset the router, which we did, and it didnt help. I informed them the TVs displayed a message about needing to call customer service to resolve a billing issue, but they insisted on coming to see the message themselves and play with the router. They said they would be over ASAP, but didnt show, didnt call to inform they werent coming, and offices closed again. They showed mid day the following day, only to tell me they in fact had to work it out with owner and took another

The only problem I have is this survey is the third time I received it and it's always come in the middle of the night two in the morning 4 in the morning 6:00 in the morning. The house was beautifully decorated. The layout is huge. Be careful coming out the sliding door because the pool is right there. Docking a boat was a breeze and loading in and out was easy as well. We plan on renting again next year. The property manager responded very fast.

House is in great location HOWEVER, when we first booked the management company told me they had the wrong rates showing on their website and the price would be more than anticipated ... ok ... we still agreed and booked. When we arrived the house was everything but clean! Hair in the showers, pan with food in the stove, past guests clothes behind couch and under bed, beer cans floating in the pool, lounge chair covers with bird ****... I can keep going! Besides that the house only has very limited cooking utensils and pots. Multiple things were broken when we arrived like faucet handle in jack and Jill bathroom shower, garden hose nozzle, outside side table glass. Overall disappointing stay for the amount of money you spent on this house! There are better management companies out there with more attention to detail for less.

Canal right off of the deck in the backyard was perfect if it was just me and my husband I would definitely rent this again but my children was looking forward to snorkeling and kayaking. Very clean, nice appliances and view of the pool from kitchen. Was a bit disappointed with the pool temperature. We had to very young children and were looking forward to getting in the "Heated Pool" as advertised. When I called realtor office to say the pool was very cold I was treated nicely and told someone would be out there to turn on the heater. I called back several hours later to say we saw a lady by the pool controls but it was still cold. At that time I was informed that the pool is not heated in "summer". I would have not rented if I knew we could not use the pool. Summer officially starts June 21 and we have had an unusually cold spring. There was a strong bleach smell in the second bedroom entrance that had some of us sneezing with other respiratory issues. But the biggest disappointment was the very cold pool.

This is our second year returning to this property for Thanksgiving vacation. Perfect location and great place to relax! The house is nicely decorated with a few recent upgrades that we did notice! Great sun at the pool until about 4pm. Kitchen is an excellent place to gather at the bar and snack or have breakfast. Beautiful dining table and additional outdoor dining. The location is in a quiet, friendly community extremely close to restaurants, etc. The only downfall we have experienced both years is some difficulty with the pool heater which can be aggravating.

We have been coming to the Keys for 20 years. This is my favorite pool and outside area. Unfortunately the inside of the house was very nice and clean but the beds are rock hard and the walls are paper thin. You could hear the dog baking next door and people coughing. Did not get much sleep do to this. Sad to say as much as I loved the pool I will not rent this house again.

Our family of 6 really loved this placeThe house is decorated beautifully. We enjoyed our stay there so much. We really enjoyed the outdoor patio and pool the most. We loved that it is close to so many things to do. We loved walking to the sunset park to watch the sunset.The locals are so warm and friendly. It's awesome that it on a canal. We watched fish swim and the Manatees come by too.

Nice Property
We had a family of 4 stay here for a week during Tropical Storm Elsa. The house itself is freshly remodeled with all new appliances and everything you would expect in a top end rental property. The canal front dock and patio was nicely done with faux grass, pavers and a large dock to park our boat. The pool was larger than anticipated and kept us cool after a long day of fishing and exploring. I have stayed in KCB many times over the years and this was the cleanest most well kept house we have rented. The only downside is it does not come with a Cabana Club pass. First pool rental I’ve stayed at in KCB that did not have a Cabana Club pass.

Property was just as described! Beautifully renovated and decorated! The area within Key Colony Beach was very nice. The only thing that needs attention was the kayak had wholes in it.
