Breakfast, staff and massage
The room was basic for the price we paid , bed uncomfortable and small bathroom.

Great location, views, pool and staff
Wi-Fi a bit patchy
3.5
Nice location with a lovely view. Restaurant and food was excellent, staff were very friendly and professional
The property is aging and could do with some renovation, especially the pool area. The beds / pillows could also be improved / upgraded
3.5
The location is superb the breakfast was out of this world top top class , the variety was insane all home made superior really !!! the pool area is stunning and the Devore of the place is mesmerizing.
The rooms were outside which was cool like little flats
My room had a customized welcome to me which was wonderful with a bottle of their own sparkling wine and flowers on the bed 🥰
They offer a free 30 min welcome massage which is amazing however I only got to know when I checked in and they were fully booked I wish someone told me upon booking and I would have booked my free massage so yeh that was disappointing
Nice shuttle service to beach and harbor
Didn’t think it should be 4 star for the simple fact that they don’t replenish body washes and lotion daily.
No tea coffee facilities in the room which was a let down as I love my tea
The room was so small that was surprising as I paid €250 a night just for one person
They don’t give you pool towels without paying a deposit of €20 euros which i think is a let down

Lovely staff
Location
Very bad Wi-Fi, especially with kids.
Restaurant food very poor considering in the town of Palau the food is fabulous, the pasta dishes are very small and very tasteless, they need an excellent chef as this is not good enough for the price.
Check is 10.30am that’s soo bad considering the price and we had to leave right after breakfast, travellers need the 12 o clock check out at least.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful 🙂 hotel is kept immaculate. We were on honeymoon so we wanted a chilled out resort and that's what we got. They even left a bottle of prosecco and chocolates for us in our room on arrival x
Nothing we loved it

Gorgeous Hotel, wonderful views, friendly staff, rooms lovely, We only ate breakfast at the restaurant which had a good selection of food and great coffee. We left very early morning and the reception staff had left us a breakfast bag for our transfer to the airport which I thought was lovely. I am fussy when it comes to hotels, but I could not recommend this hotel enough.

Nice location, accessible parking
Hotel is dated and worn, requires some serious renovation ('70s feel)
4.0
great location with impressive views of the sea and Maddalena island. Walking to the city center takes only 15 minutes, to the beach 20 minutes. Gated parking available. From the first floor there is partial sea view. Breakfast was good. Palau as a vacation location is very good, plenty of beaches available within 30 minutes drive. The staff was great and very helpful. The hotel beach part has good sunbeds and umbrellas. Good restaurants in the town center require reservation.
the hotel is older and does not meet todays more modern standards, because of small windows the rooms are a bit dark and sea view is not really visible unless you are outside, the hotel pool is not heated and à la carte dinner is not available, only buffet dinner.

Location was fantastic. It was so easy to explore La Maddalena. The staff could not have been more helpful. Thank you to Margherita and Lucky for treating us so well. We cannot wait to come back.

Great breakfast.
Spotless cleanness.
Very nice personnel.

the staff were lovely, it was quiet at night and we loved the proximity to La Maddalena
it’s a bit tired and out dated

Very efficient staff, everything clean, the free shuttle bus to beach and port was appreciated
I thought the head waiter could have been more helpful on our first morning at breakfast especially as the vast majority of guests were Italian.

We had a great time at the Palau Hotel! The hotel staff was helpful and very hospitable.
The hotel is located uphill, but the main city attractions and beaches are within reach if you are willing to walk. Otherwise hotel provides transfer to reach the Port or Spiaggia de La Sciumara which is very comfortable.
If you are staying in Palau I suggest you dedicate some time to visit Archipelago la Maddalena.

The scenery was good. A good pool is available whole day. Staffs were really kind and friendly.
The location is tad far from the city center and you have to climb to a steep hill to walk to the hotel. The shuttle bus is available to access to the city center and beach, but they run once an hour. Although the most of restaurants in the city opens after 19:00, the last shuttle pick-up was 19:30. You have to be carefully planned to get meals. Wifi signal was really weak depending on the room.

all of the staff were super friendly and helpful. the hotel was very clean and the rooms were much bigger than expected. nice rustic charm.

location location location! absolutely stunning views and the hotel itself was so charming and pretty. staff were all friendly and helpful.
Rooms were very small, air conditioning was poor and difficult to operate. room safe did not work, occasional smell of “toilet” that came and went from both of our rooms

beautiful views, quiet location, lovely rooms and excellent staff

Breakfast was ok. They were always running out of things, like milk or tomatoes or fruit. You had to ask for things to be replenished and then wait around for 10 minutes until it came. Service at reception was excellent and I can't fault their effort and attitude.
The showers were very grotty for any hotel, but for a hotel claiming 4 stars they were horrendous. When we arrived the air conditioning wasn't working which in 35 degree plus was not good. To their credit they eventually sorted it and offered us dinner as a compensation. Waiting staff served Italian guy behind me after I'd been queueing a long time. That's just rude

Great clean pool, good menu choice. Beautiful views. Great beach with reserved sun beds. Complimentary massage and bottle of Prosecco on arrival. Lovely fresh bath towels and pool/beach towels. Friendly staff. Great shuttle service to the beach/port.
Ants in the room every evening. The bathrooms were pretty tired and could do with updating although they had been freshly painted. We weren’t made aware that we couldn’t just eat in the hotel restaurant in the evening we had to book 3 days in advance!

The staff were very helpful and welcoming.
The swimming pool was what you needed after a long day in the beach. The views from the room were stunning and the breakfast was a 10!
Good location, it has a private beach that we did not use.
We will definitely stay there again!

the place was amazing, the hotel is full of charm. the view from the room was breathtaking. the stuff are superb! very helpful and ready to help you. the borrowed us an umbrella to take to the beach, they changed our room to a junior suite (we were 3 pple) and the breakfast was good, exactly what you need to start your day. I would highly recommend this hotel especially for its location.
4.0
Beautiful hotel, we really like the design and setup. Big pool and good pool facilities (towel, bed, very clean). Breakfast was good, lots or choice.
We had a big room with even an extra room with a couch (this was also a sleeping couch). Shower is amazing and spacious bathroom.
The bed is a bit poor because it was too short for me (im 1.90meter) and it was a sprung mattress. Also, the airco dashboard was new but the ventilation system old so it was not getting cold enough.
The hotel is located on the hill, therefore it takes you 10 min to walk down to the centre and 15 minutes to get back. Its a steep walk, not super though walk but you will sweat for sure.
Finally, we think the value for money is a bit out of balance as we had better facilities in other parts of Sardinia for which we paid half of the money. However, in our search for a hotel in Palau it felt like Hotel Palau was the best option in Palau though.

View from the restaurant, staff at the reception.
AC did not work properly, breakfast was not well organised, your "balcony" in front of your room is a passage way, people are constantly walking and you cannot hang out your wet stuff. It is a badly designed hotel, bathroom is not convenient, old. Deposit (EUR 20) for a towel. Unpleasant walk to the centre of town. Beach 10 mins from hotel by shuttle is not nice, in particular in Sardinia.

Lovely hotel and professional staff . I’ll be back here soon
