I wanted to stay in Maine for 3 weeks - I chose this location so I could be sometimes by myself and sometimes with friends. From this location, there is a lot to do locally as well as within 1 hour drive if desired. About 40 minutes to nearest Amtrak station in Brunswick if friends are visiting.
Locally - many preserves to walk, kayak/paddleboard at house, minutes to Boothbay Harbor - schooner and wildlife boats, restaurants.
This house was great for me as it was not too big when I was by myself and the few guests I had were comfortable in the bedrooms and other small bathroom. It had everything we needed and, although we did minimal cooking, it had everything if you wanted to cook. Nice spaces outside and inside. At night, the stars are plentiful and it was just great to sit around the fire pit, look out onto the water and stare at the beautiful sky!
The house was so comfortable for us it did not feel like we were staying in someone else's house, it felt like our home! Communication with owner was great and easy although we had no issues so it was mostly to send her thanks and a couple of pictures of the Northern Lights we were fortunate to see on our 2nd night there.
Lovely home, do not hesitate to rent if you want an easy location with very close drives to so many wonderful things in Maine.

The property was just as described. Kayaking around the cove was great with one-of-a-kind views. Location was close enough to town for easy day trips. Fantastic food and great people at the local Trevett store at island entrance. Overall, we had a wonderful time, and the host was very responsive and helpful.

Our family all enjoyed this beautiful waterfront home for the week we were there! It is so peaceful and relaxing. Every morning my husband and I sat on the back porch and enjoyed our coffee. Our adult kids loved kayaking, reading on the porch, swimming from the dock, and crabbing. This was a great location. We went to Boothbay Harbor several times and The Maine Botanical Gardens right down the road was fun! Pemaquid Point Lighthouse was really great too. We had no problems or issues. Everything was wonderful.

We all enjoyed our stay very much. The location is really beautiful and peaceful. Tried kayaking for the first time which was a fun experience. I love how the house sits on the cove. Inside it is open and full of light. We enjoyed sitting outside on both the front and back decks. We saw different birds and even a deer on the property behind the house. We already booked it for next summer!

Our family had a wonderful time, thanks to this beautiful location. Your comfortable home provided ample space for our loved ones to visit with our mother/grandmother, who was recently diagnosed with cancer. The pictures simply do no justice to the real views. The location on the cove is so wonderfully peaceful all day especially in the early morning and evening hours. We launched the kayaks from the dock. The host was amazingly responsive, we had a couple glitches but was quickly resolved. Best lobster ever at Cabbage Island Clambakes and Karen's Hideaway. Great short hike at Porter Preserve. My family loved the peaceful quietness of being on a dead end street where my grandson rode his bike for hours. Lots of toasted marshmallows on the ouside fire pit.

The house is located in a convenient location with beautiful water views. The house is well equipped with anything you might need for your stay. We really enjoyed our time spent there!

From the moment you pull up to this house, you will captivated by the view of the cove and the Back River. Had some beautiful afternoons reading and relaxing on the dock, with a cool breeze to make the humidity more bearable.
The cove is a great spot to kayak too.
The house has everything you need for your stay. The kitchen is well stocked for all of your cooking needs.
The house is very clean and well kept.
The owners, Jennifer & Seth are very quick to answer your questions or deal with any issues that you may have during your stay.
The patio on the side of the house is a great spot to have a bbq dinner, and later make a fire in the firepit and have s'mores.
The location on Barters Island is very quiet and in 10 minutes you can be in Boothbay Harbor with its many restaurants, shopping, etc..If you like craft beer and pizza the Boothbay Craft Brewery is a must! There is also a General
Store about a mile from the house which is nice to walk to for breakfast/lunch.
There are also many activities that you can do right from the Harbor. Our favorites are the ferry to Monhegan Island and the Cabbage Island.
If I ever book another trip to this area I will absolutely book this house!

We LOVED this house! The location was perfect for what we wanted!!!! And the natural light that floods the front of the house is simply the best!!!!!
I do have to say that more lighting is needed by way of lamps for reading, especially on a cloudy day or at night. And my second suggestion concerns the upstairs.....a handrail is NEEDED for the steps and a gate at the top......
I always think about safety for children and adults.
We would definitely rent this house again but would not plan to use the upstairs.

Seth and Jenifer were very accommodating prior to us coming, answering questions, and after we got there too. One minor mishap with heating unit but they were quick to offer options and repair was one in a timely manner!!
Location was beutiful and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed!!! This vrbo would also accomodate a family with 3 or 4 children.

My husband and I were very happy with everything about this rental! Everything was great, from the setting on the island, the neighborhood, and the house itself. We felt very much at home; the bed and furniture were very comfortable, the place was extremely clean and decor was lovely. The views from the deck and the dock were beautiful. Even views from the back and side of the home were gorgeous, and we saw some beautiful sunrises. Not to mention the stars in the night sky, which were amazing. The setting could not have been better. The setting was private and peaceful, yet within a 5-10 minute drive there were so many things to do and see in the Boothbay area. I highly recommend Porter's Preserve for a nice relaxing hike and beautiful vistas of the water. We also took a ride on Captain Fish's Cruises on the bay and saw the islands and some beautiful lighthouses. The weather was perfect. We could not have asked for more out of a vacation.Thank you for such a great experience!

The property is just far enough from Boothbay to experience the night sky ablaze with stars. For a small town city girl, this was quite a first time treat.
We used Tri Cove Lane as a base to explore the area.
Property is clean, well appointed with everything we needed. Grocery was close, as were Boothbay restaurants.
Acadia National Park was a day trip well worth the time.
Would highly recommend this place.
Our only comment would be a shorter stay time.
For us, most of the sightseeing could be done in 4 - 5 days.

Absolutely stunning setting.
We are a family of 8 - 6 adults, 2 children. The area has something for everybody. The house is lovely in a beautiful neighborhood. The common areas are very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. The deck, dock and firepit are terrific day and night. Our problem was with the upstairs bedrooms. There is no bathroom on the upper level, so the children and adults sleeping upstairs had to go up and down the narrow, steep stairs with no hand rail to go to the bathroom. This quickly became very inconvenient and a little dangerous at night. Also there was only one air conditioner in the room with a window, the 2nd upstairs bedroom (with no window) was very hot. Adding an upstairs bathroom would make a world of difference.

The location was very quiet and peaceful. Proximity to Botanical Gardens and Booth Bay Harbor was excellent. We timed it wrong as the tide was out every morning so we couldn’t have our coffee in the kayaks. But we had a wonderful week.

Just what we were looking for…
This rental met all our hoped for expectations! The house is freshly renovated, immaculate, and beautifully appointed with all the creature comforts and necessities one would hope for.
It sits on a lovely quiet cove that provided the much needed peace and serenity we were looking for. It is close to Boothbay harbor so there’s plenty of good restaurants for a pleasurable meal out however, we love to cook so chose to eat in quite a bit, having cocktails on the deck or dock.
We were blessed with delightful weather so enjoyed sitting on the deck reading, watching wildlife, and simply just being.
Jen and Seth were very gracious and easily available to assist with a TV issue so we were able to enjoy a few evening movies.
We have used VRBO for many a Maine vacation but this is by far our favorite yet!

Beautiful spot in Boothbay!
We spent our Spring Break here and had a wonderful time. The owners were so responsive and helpful with all of our questions. A beautiful view and a short drive to lots of cool little towns. The house was clean, well decorated and super comfortable. We highly recommend!

Best Christmas Trip
We came for Christmas with two young children and the owner was very helpful through the whole process. The property was beautiful, very clean, and homey! We felt just like we were home but in a winter wonderland. We recommend anyone to stay here and told several friends and family about it so they could stay also!

Beautiful cottage and place to enjoy nature
This cottage is absolutely beautiful, well maintained, and stoked with all the essentials we needed. The cove provides breath taking sunrises and sunsets. The location provides easy access to Boothbay Harbor and surrounding coastal sites. We found this area of the island very quiet and relaxing with the lone sounds of geese, ducks, and crows. Our early morning walks were a delight. Jen and Seth were wonderful hosts who provided us with many tips and places to visit during our stay. access to Boothbay Harbor and surrounding coastal sites. Our day trips to Monhegan Island and Mt. Battie in Camden were very enjoyable. We loved our stay and hope to be return in 2022.

Charming and Quiet
This house is absolutely beautiful! I love how well set-up it is and how easy the hosts are to communicate with. On top of that, it is located in a nice quiet neighborhood, where we felt really secure and comfortable. The two upstairs beds aren't ideal for adults but seemed more suited to children!

Perfect getaway
We loved our stay and hope to return. Kayaking from the private dock, reading on the deck, playing games, exploring Boothbay (loved the trolls at the the Botanical Gardens, boating in the harbor, hiking trails nearby, etc).It was a really wonderful week, thank you!

Quiet Maine Cottage
This cottage is on a lovely tidal cove on a small island near Boothbay Harbor. The cottage was perfect for the 4 of us. The owners send a list of everything that is in the cottage (e.g., kitchen, living areas) which was well - equipped. Kayaks were also available and we used the fire pit every evening. The cove is quiet with lovely views and easy access to the Coastal Botanical Gardens (a must-see) as well as local Preserves for hikes/walks. We are looking forward to returning in 2022!

Wonderful Cottage!
This is a great waterfront cottage on a tidal cove with a dock and wonderful owners. We stayed here for a week in August with our family of 4 (kids are 16 and 12) and we will definitely come back. The cottage was spotless and just right for our family. It is lovely and bright with very tasteful and comfortable furnishings. we had room to comfortably spend time all together and to spread out. (And the bedrooms have AC units! very nice on warm days.) There are also great places to sit outside - both sunny and sheltered. There are two fire pits (we did not use them, but great to have). For us the location is perfect: private and quiet, but within a 10 minute drive to all that Boothbay has to offer. The hosts of this property are excellent communicators and super helpful. Jen gave us great recommendations for restaurants, etc. Guests are welcome to use their kayaks, SUP, oars, and PFDs, which was really great. We also rented sea kayaks for the week so that we could go a bit farther afield. Looking back, I'm not sure we really needed to rent the other kayaks as we were always within a mile of the little cove. The hosts provide YouTube TV, which worked quite well. We also travel with a Fire Stick and were able to seamlessly plug into an HDMI port on the smart TV and connect to our own accounts for movies, etc. Thank you, Jen and Seth!

We enjoyed a wonderful week at this property. The house was very well stocked with everything we needed and was very comfortable for the 5 of us! We especially enjoyed morning coffee on the back deck overlooking the cove, and evenings by the fire pit! The owners provided detailed information prior to our arrival that was incredibly helpful. This property is a GEM!!

The house is beautiful, well maintained and stocked with everything you could need. The location is quiet and remote yet only 10 minutes away from conveniences and Boothbay Harbor. We kayaked every day. The river was peaceful and beautiful. Boothbay Harbor had many good restaurants and shops. We took a Puffin cruise and watched the Windjammers come to dock. I learned how to play chess thanks to the nice set up with the gorgeous view they had at the house . Morning coffee on the back deck enjoying the view and smell of the wild roses and salt water air was a great way to start each day. Jen and Seth were great hosts and easy to communicate with. They even left us Italian ice and beer as a nice welcoming gift. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
