Not recommended for families

Not worth the money. Great views but nothing else.

There were a lot of things but main thing was the temperature of the room when we first arrived, the cabin was super hot and should've turned on the a/c at check in so it can be prepared for the guest, then the a/c took a while to cool off on both rooms.the pool advertised shouldn't even be advertised since there was one with chained up chairs and pool was absolutely filthy. The cabin started to leak after the third day, they came to asses it but that was about it, after asking to change sheets ,they said they would check but never came back with new ones, my son had to sleep on my bed because his sheets were wet. The view was stunning, the beds were comfortable, the cabin was cozy. The staff was nice and did what they could. Some of them could use a little face change when approached but other than that overall it was not recommended unless you don't mind service to be mediocre, and cabin to be hot. It was not good for the money we had to pay. There was no restaurant service even though they advertise they serve food, only snacks and a few drinks. If you plan on going with kids make sure u buy stuff to bring there, also there are no microwaves or fridges, so buy snacks only. No smart tv,only on one room, the other had an old tv with no smart features. Power kept going in and out. Also make sure you bring your own transportation otherwise you will be stuck there. Cabins are far away from any walking distance to restaurant or cafe. Especially in the rain. There are Ubers around.

Estuvimos muy a gusto en este hotel, lo recomiendo si busca algo no tan caro pero cómodo

Tiene una increíble vista al volcán, la gente es muy amable y fueron muy flexibles con nosotros eso lo apreciamos mucho, nos dejaron entrar un poco antes y salir después de la hora, el desayuno abundante y rico y está cerca de todo si vas en auto. Relación calidad precio aceptable

It has great potential with the amazing view, rooms need a makeover.

The view!

It seems that the hotel changed hands. There was no toilet paper or towels….basic things a room should have and not have to ask for it. Pool was not in service.

Great stay! But please update the dining area!

Amazing! A 10 out of 10

The dining area doesn’t have a view and doesn’t fit with the overall aesthetic of the property.. Massive shame as it would really add value to the property! And maybe build a swimming pool or thermal spa as well with a view on the volcano

Bela vista do Vulcão, mas pouco a oferecer

A vista do quarto é imbatível: de frente para o vulcão arenal! Lindíssimo. Funcionários muito atenciosos também, especialmente o rapaz da recepção. Localização boa para quem está de carro.

Durante boa parte do dia, o banheiro ficava com um cheiro fortíssimo de esgoto. Dava pra sentir até mesmo com a porta fechada. Internet à noite parava de funcionar. O café da manhã tem duração curta (7:15-8:45) e, quanto a isso, passamos por uma situação chata também que não foi resolvida, mas que o rapaz da recepção foi muito gentil no final. Tínhamos um tour às 8h e precisávamos sair do hotel 7h45. Avisamos que iríamos para o café da manhã às 7h15. Ao chegarmos, o café demorou mais de 20 minutos para chegar, então tivemos que ir embora sem comer. No dia do checkout, o rapaz da recepção nos fez um café para viagem, o que foi muito gentil, mas não exclui a falta de organização do que aconteceu.

Ótimo hotel em custo benefício com vista para o Arenal.

Vista incrível para o vulcão! O hotel é simples, porém o quarto é grande, banheiro amplo e cama confortável… o café da manhã é oferecido em duas opções e para um casal é ideal cada um pedir um, assim tem um experiência mais completa. Funcionários super atenciosos… ótimo custo benefício benefício para estar de frente para o vulcão.

Great location, beautiful view and good price

Location is great, superb view, excellent breakfast pinto gallo ! Friendly and helpful staff. Clean, comfortable and large bungalows and very good prices.

The first row of bungalows is next to the road and very noisy. At night between 9pm and 6pm it is bearable but if you are sensitive to noise, ask for the further away bungalows

Spacious, clean, comfortable lodges with stunning views!

These lodges are amazing value! The location and views are excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing us with a packed breakfast on our first morning as we were leaving early for ziplining. The next breakfast was freshly cooked with options to suit everyone. Our chalet was a little dated but really large, clean and well furnished.

centrally located and close to Arenal volcano. the surroundings is absolutely beautiful. too bad due to the dog, we couldn’t see the Arenal from our room. the daily free breakfast was a nice surprise and we enjoyed it

Aufwachen mit Ausblick auf den Vulkan

Die Unterkunft ist toll gelegen, um mit einem Blick auf den Vulkan aufzuwachen. Das Zimmer ist sehr geräumig, jedoch sehr einfach gehalten. Ein wenig Deko würde etwas mehr Gemütlichkeit schaffen. Das Personal ist unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit, Frühstück sehr lecker, die Anlage sehr gepflegt. Für ein paar Tage absolut zu empfehlen!

Comfortable but a bit lacking in character.

If we’d been able to see the volcano through the clouds, the location would have been amazing. Spacious room with two large beds.

Room was somewhat austere and there was a problem with the water in the morning - probably not their fault.

La atención de los dos chicos de recepción, tanto de mañana como tarde increíble Las vistas que teníamos desde la habitación son insuperables, son mejores que las que se pueden tener desde el parque natural

Bonito Arenal

A simpatia dos funcionários. A tour noturna com o querido César no dia da chegada foi o máximo. A cereja no topo do bolo foi acordar e olhar diretamente para o vulcão - ficámos na casa 10 com uma vista incrível. Alojamento muito tranquilo, ideal para desfrutar dos sons da natureza.

O chuveiro da nossa casa era péssimo - sem pressão, não se percebia bem quando vinha a água quente e era difícil de fechar. Único ponto negativo a destacar.

Die Arenal Roca Lodge war mit Abstand die schlechteste Unterkunft auf unserer Tour.

Der tolle Blick zum Arenal von dem Bungalow in erster Reihe ist positiv zu bewerten. Dann hört es aber auch schon auf.

Die Lage genau an der vielbefahrenen Straße und die nicht vorhandene Dämmung der Fenster und der Wände des Bungalows rauben einem den Nachtschlaf. Die unvollständige Ausstattung und der Kampf um Handtücher und Decken für das Bett ist für ein Haus dieser Kategorie unpassend. Beim Frühstück war für uns nicht nachvollziehbar, dass man beim landestypischen Frühstück kein Obst bekommt. Auf Grund der Unzulänglichkeiten sind wir auch einen Tag früher abgereist.

Ubicado en una zona tranquila, cerca de la fortuna y del parque nacional. Personal súper amable, mención especial para Cesar :) que nos dio un tour por las inmediaciones del hotel enseñándonos ranas de ojos rojos y otros animales . Gracias por todo :)

Worth the money for a couple nights

The view from the room are simply amazing. Breakfast was also pretty good for the money (not buffet though).

The noise from the street - quite some cars specially in the morning, going to the volcano. There were some bugs but not a big deal for us.

Un hotel sencillo y limpio con una ubicación privilegiada justo en frente del volcán Arenal. Fue maravilloso despertarse los dos días que estuvimos con el volcán despejado. Hay tanto que hacer y disfrutar el La Fortuna que es un sitio perfecto para dormir o descansar entre actividades. Está a 5 minutos del centro del pueblo y a un minuto en coche de las aguas termales del rió Chollín al que fuimos a las 6 de la mañana a echarnos un baño antes de desayunar y fue perfecto porque a esa hora no había casi nadie, solo los cuidadores. Para el desayuno ofrecen 2 opciones, uno típico con gallo pinto, huevo revuelto, plátano maduro y queso fresco o continental con tostadas, yogur, granola y frutas; ambos con café y zumo.

Falta una lamparita en la mesa de noche y una pequeña nevera para el agua.
