Elegant hotel with great views

Stylish old-fashioned hotel with lots of history, beautiful interiors and great water views from almost all windows. All modern conveniences in room. Comfortable beds. Helpful, friendly staff. Easy and free parking outside.

Not a big minus for people with cars but hotel is definitely not within a walking distance from center of town.

Highly recommended experience

Don’t miss the royal breakfast in your room! It’s an amazing experience combined with the best view of a sea I even saw

The restaurant wasn’t working which was a bit disappointing due to the fact that we came for one day of rest and didn’t wanted to go out of the hotel.

After visiting 8 cities and towns spending 19 nights in hotels this hotel was the worst experience .

Location .

Noise levels. Staff pushing service trolleys all through the early hours Room overlooking a very noisy car park Attitude of receptionist when asked us did we enjoy our stay We explained our lack of sleep for two nights to be told !!!oh well there was a wedding on. You should advise although a 5 star hotel the location of most rooms can hear the lift most times and the service lift is used all through the morning so sleep maybe a premium.

The views from the hotel location were stunning. The staff were really friendly. The room was a great size.

Serenity of a grande dame

A beautiful room with a stunning view. Paying extra to have a room with a balcony on the sea side is worth every penny. Loved it!! A rich history, classic hospitality, and a touch of glamour.

The carpet in the room was beyond acceptable. It should be either replaced or removed. It ruined otherwise exceptional experience.

Very good hotel only stayed one night as catching the ferry next day.

Loved the location, lovely view of the sea from our room. Plenty of parking.

Limited food available in the night as restaurant was closed. Snacks available in the bar but expensive as small portions only.

Modernised Hotel in a well renovated and maintained historic hotel building , but still carpets on the room floor : unhygienic ! No small cushion available as now usual

Wonderful

This hotel is a total gem. It is a five star luxury, beautiful, elegant hotel. The staff were amazing. Although the restaurant was closed on the night we stayed, we were able to order delicious amazing food from the bar. The gin martinis were superb. The room was absolutely perfect. It was like a room you would stay in for your honeymoon. Bathroom, shower, toiletries were gorgeous. Reception were lovely, especially Veronica. Parking was so easy and free. Santander is a lovely city on the coast and we had amazing views from our room. We only stayed one night sadly as we were catching the ferry home the next day. But would love to return one day and explore.
